Do you guys know of an online course similar to The Stone Circle but for women 40+?

My wife wants to improve her health. For her, for me and for the child we plan on having. She is overweight at the moment. She looks at me working out with my sandbags and she wishes she could partake on it, but althogh we could play around with it, it's nothing structured and tailored for what she needs. She needs functional strength, but also longevity and she also wants to lose weight (for self esteem and because it will help for a safe pregnancy). My wife's current body composition is similiar to the one in the left and she's aiming at the right picture since it was her weight before the last pregnancy. I found a few programs online but they are usually coaching stuff rather than a full structured on-demand course like The Stone Circle, and they are usually aimed mostly at aesthethics, with barbells and dumbbells, which is not the approach we want as hopefully the workouts would be something we'd do together for function, so less mainstream type of exercises I guess. We'd be very thankful for your help.

Have you guys ever heard of FireHose Academy? Is it a legit website for bigger loads training? Is there even a thing as training for this?

I was asking chatGPT if there was an online course that addressed the subject and it found this website. I can buy it with my digital, disposable credit card and if it's a scam I suppose it'll be okay, but I want to be sure if possible that it is a legit website. I found a tad odd that, if it is legit, no one here mentioned it.

What to do when tremors make you cry and feel unable to be a proper adult?

I work in telesales. Well, I actually work in financial consultation in an office but telesales is still part of it. Every time I need to call a client I want to avoid and pass it over to my colleagues. They find it strange and often remark how easy and quick it is, but talking to people I don't know in a high stake situation makes my tremors worsen. When I talk to my coworkers too, especially when I have to stand up for myself or request something. I always shake looking terrified and in tears. I'm 28 years old. I have a partner and we plan marrying next year but seeing how unfit I am at reacting to life, I feel I'm also unfit for her. One thing is coming home crying because I couldn't do something for myself without embarassing myself, another thing is embarassing myself while doing something for someone else. It's much more painful. It happened once. Someone disrespected my partner and not wanting to cry and shake, I stood by and she was the one that had to stand up. The list of regrets, poor functioning and humiliation goes on. I don't take any medication because I don't react well to them. I have autism lvl 2, which may play a part. I tried propranolol, atenolol (gave me insomnia), CBD (gave me even worse insomnia, mind race, rage, disorganized thinking) and antidepressant (gave euphoria, obsession, made emotions imbalanced). I'm this way since childhood, so I know there is nothing to do besides resting and hoping it will be better the next day, but I wish I was a proper adult, that I could perform my job okay and be a better partner and also man for myself. I'm not weak or frightened. I don't know why my body responds this way. In my "good days" where tremors are lessened, my voice gets lower, I look at people in the way and don't waver, but I look like a hurt child when tremors start. It even scares other people because it's not just tremors. It's a whole emotional reaction. Crying, fear, shakes, all into one. I will do my part and keep searching and hoping, but if you can give any advice in the meanwhile, I'm grateful.

Where do you keep your water bottle when rucking?

Do you put in a waist pack while wearing something like a goruck without space in the bag, or do you put in the backpack in the case of having a military backpack? Can you give the link? The idea is also to have a way to store the phone, keys and stuff like that while rucking. Considering a goruck, they have a waist strap so i don't know how we could use a waist pack on top.

Does anyone that deal with hyperstimulation symptoms find a sustainable treatment?

I have a very bad anxiety with tremors and all. I tried a couple treatments, including CBD oil, acupuncture, keto, antidepressants. All relaxed my body initially but made me hyper afterwards, both physically and mentally. I mean mood being more intense and disorganized, faster heartrate, mind racing, severe insomnia. Basically, I seem to get a stimulating paradoxal reaction from things that usually calm people. I want to see the psychiatrist again and ask if I can take something else but all these medications messed me up more and I honestly don't think there is something else. People keep telling me I should be medicated but what fault do if the treatments have the opposite effect? It's not due to not trying either. When I used the CBD (at the lowest dose) I became sleep deprived and persisted. The result was me fainting on the street and getting a bone injury that may well accompany me for life. I don't know why I react this way to things and doctors don't have a clue.

Daily 15-30min bear hug carries. A good idea? How much weight maximum?

After decades of being sedentary, I finally used my ironmind. I try to do at least 15 minutes a day, but setting the goal for 30 minutes. Right now I'm using a weight of about 35kg. I intend to increase to 40kg soon but I don't know how much I can add that would be sustainable for daily carry and if daily carry is the best. After being sedentary for so long, it's just wonderful to engage in physical activity every day, so ideally it'd be a weight I could do every day with no injury. I'm 28 years old but unfit. I'm slowly building my fitness now.

Every treatment I tried that worked ended up being hyperstimulating. Anyone has had this and found a workaround?

Things that improved my tremors: keto/low carb diet, CBD, acupuncture, magnesium. They all had worked for the tremors but made the mind too energized/on edge. I had insomnia that last for days on CBD and the same on keto, acupuncture and to a smaller extent magnesium. Because I seem to get the same paradoxal effect and it actually does diminish the tremor, from a biological level it's doing something right. It'd be wonderful finding something that works and is tolerable long term.

I'm scheduled to have arthroscopy and splint use. Can you help me understand what I can expect?

So, I don't have pain and my mouth opens okay. The complaint that led me to the dentist was the clicking sound and facial fatigue. It feels like even when my mouth is closed, it doesn't fully enter in a rest position, so I stay with tension around the area. He saw my MRI and x-ray and said I had 2 wisdom teeth to take out, a joint effusion (my TMJ, especially in the side of the wisdom teeth, was full of inflammatory liquid) and anterior disc displacement with reduction and osteoarthritis. The proposed treatment was wisdom teeth extraction, arthroscopy mainly to wash the joint, and a splint for the displacement. I told him I had concerns over the splint because I read in a blog written by a dentist that such splints should be adjusted sporadically and forever, which seemed like a cash grab, and heard of people who developed issues after wearing them, like, it improved symptoms while it was used, but made everything worse than before when discontinued, again supporting the notion of it being a cash grab, forcing the patient to use it. He said there is a line of thought in dentistry that suggests regular adjusting is necessary, but it's not his line. That the splint would last about 4 years, so after 4 years another should be made, but no adjustment needed and if it was needed, he'd do it with no charge. He also told me my bite wouldn't get worse if I decided not to use the splint after a while, at least not worse than my baseline and that its purpose would be to reposition my joint to the right place and relax my mouth. He said it'd be worn all day long, except in meals. Does this sound like a reasonable treatment?

Why does lecithin improve semen volume?

I've going off what ChatGPT said. That lecithin works because of phospholipids but then, it made a comparison. 10 eggs: ~13–16 g phospholipids

1.2 g sunflower lecithin: ~0.6–0.8 g phospholipids. So, basically, that would make lecithin be a placebo supplement. I guess the mechanism is different because many men that are into improving their ejaculate exercise regularly and eat a lot of protein and eggs, yet is by consuming lecithin specifically that they report improvement.

Acupuncture seemed to have caused insomnia. I'm considering stopping the treatment. Can someone give feedback?

I decided to have scalp electroacupuncture after hearing about how it was beneficial to essential tremor. I had my first session in the morning and it lasted 18 minutes after she inserted the needle and the machine sent the electric impulses. During the night I had insomnia. I reviewed my day and it was calm. Nothing to keep me up. It felt like my mind was more stimulated than normal. It's a distinct feeling because I'm sensitive and it's what I get trying most treatments. It's why I wanted to give acupuncture a try. I get paradoxal reaction with drugs and medications that are supposed to relax me. Antidepressants, cbd oil, some supplements. They cause a characteristic stimulation effect. I stayed 3 days without sleeping on CBD for example. in short, I was hoping someone could say if this bad sleep/high mental energy could be from the acupuncture and if it will continue. I am considering just stopping as this hyperstimulation thing is distressing to me. I know that since it is triggered by so many things, I need help of some kind, but I don't think help means feeling more of it.

The 2 music schools I contacted only offer singing lessons based on songs chosen by the student, not a structured method. Is this okay?

I'm interested in singing lessons for pop songs. It's not actually pop, it's just not classical, but the schools use classical for classical and pop for everything else. It's actually indie rock. Even though I intend to stay within this genre, I'd like to develop my voice and be a good singer in general, so I don't know how that will play out. According to the schools, the student chooses a song of his liking, goes to class and the teacher there gives pointers on how to improve and sing it better. So, it's based on the songs the student wants to sing rather than a structured plan of different techniques. I suppose I want to know if this method works.

Are cluster shots safe? What's been your experience with it?

I started allergy shots about a month ago. The approach my doctor chose was extremely conservative. Partly due to insurance and cost. So I've been taking only one shot a week in my building phase. It will take more than a year to get into maintenance and I want relief sooner, so I've been considering doing cluster shots. Another clinic does it. The way they do is, the building phase lasts just 1 month, so after one month you are already in maintenance. My insurance does not cover this faster approach and it's expensive where I live (outside of US) but I'm considering it. A concern I have is anaphylaxis or other side effects.

The reason why I want the cluster rather than the slower method is due to not tolerating nasal steroid or antihistamine sprays. My mental health is not in a good place and they make it worse. I was told by the nurse that usually you only need to take a regular antihistamine, and it may not be necessary if the patient has no history of asthma or other more systemic allergic symptoms. All I have is allergy to dust mites. I'm not allergic to anything else. It's severe because it significantly impairs my breathing by swelling my sinuses, but no systemic effect. What do you guys think? Could cluster be a good idea?

Am I weak, stupid or just unlucky for not tolerating medication?

I suffer from severe dust mite allergy and nasal inflammation. I did surgery on my nose to be able to breathe. Not better. To be able to breathe plain and simple because my nose wasn't usable before. Now it's become congested like before. All the pain and money spent for nothing. Because I don't take steroid sprays or antihistamines. Every attempt had significant impact in my mood, mental health and even nerve health. Before surgery, I was depressed for not being able to breathe. When I stayed with my partner in bed, I could barely focus on her. All I could see was my nose totally stuffed up, feeling drained, with no confidence and now seeing that this is becoming my reality again but no longer wanting to spend time in self pity, I am seriously wondering why me and allergy medications aren't a match and what I can do about it. If it's weakness, I want to try having martial art classes. Maybe punching and being punched can take build the resilience needed to face the mental side-effects/breakdown the medications cause. If it's stupidity, then I can focus on books to gain knowledge. If I'm unfortunate to have been born with a sensitive body and mind and there is nothing to be done, knowing that is also useful, because I can accept I'm not meant to be a nose breather.

I'm sorry if it sounds a bit gloomy but this has been tiring. Every single steroid and antihistamine can put me in anxiety and irritability, or worsen the ones I have. Mental health medication too. Every single one I tried made me worse. It's disheartening to be honest. I don't want to keep lamenting, but it's like I'm finally understanding what being an adult means, why people do mistakes or become addicted to things. I'll be 28 in a couple days. I have had my share of disappointments but by far the greatest and most painful was not being able to have the health I wanted and for the current medical field not to have a single treatment that is compatible with me. It can really send you to dark places. My plan is going to my allergist and I suppose beg him to take allergy shots 2x a week. I'm taking only once a week and the clinic also said they only do once a week, but if I can't take anything else, that's my only hope.

I'm having difficulty making sauerkraut

I've seen two methods and don't know which is right.

In the first, the person cuts the cabbage, adds coarse grain salt (a spoon I think for each handful of cabbage) and lets it marinating in a jar for a day.

In the second, after cutting the cabbage, he puts 4-7% salt (more precise than a spoon for each handful), and said to let it in the jar for 14-20 days

I don't want to conserve. I just want to eat probiotics every day, so I'd prefer the first method, but I don't know if it's right. .
