Is it a turn off if the one you're talking to hate calls?

I get anxious when I see someone calling (except for fam) hahaha. I'd rather type a long message and chat with you all the time than to talk in call. I guess that's one of the reasons people ghost me🤷‍♀️ Because I don't do calls unless I'm comfortable enough and it takes a looong time hahaha. Does anyone else also hate calls? Or am I being weird for hating calls hahaha.

Field Visit Akulaku Tiktokpaylater

Hii!!! Just want to know if legit na nagffield visit sila?

My tiktokpaylater due is around 4k and late fee accumulated to 5k🥲 OD for 212 days. I forgot to pay😭 Will pay naman pero they're requiring me to pay the full amount now which I dont have. And sa text messages nila na field visitations, wala naman. And kahapon, may message sila na may estafa case daw ako and today naman, malapit na daw sila sa address na nilagay ko (province address ang inindicate nila). I messaged a payment arrangement request pero they denied it. I know it's my fault pero nakakakaba hahaha. Another text from them today:

"Please also be advised that a field officer may visit your area today, as your account is already included in the endorsed list. They are currently on standby and may proceed to your location after attending to other clients in your area."

Do they really visit the address?

Hi everyone! Asking for someone I know who is about to take the medical exam for PMMA (Philippine Merchant Marine Academy).

I’ve noticed he has difficulty recognizing numbers in the Ishihara plates, specifically those with red, green, and orange, or combinations of those colors. He can distinguish general colors correctly in daily life, but the Ishihara numbers are a struggle for him.

Will this affect his medical result? Does PMMA allow any margin for error on the color blindness test, or is it an automatic disqualification?

Would appreciate any insights from current midshipmen or those who have gone through the PMMA or any academy medical. Thanks a lot!

Hi everyone! Has anyone tried doing part-time as map annotator at Glimmertech AI? Is this legit? I really want to make sure this is a legit side hustle before I spend hours on the self learned training and software setup. Tyia!

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm 22F, fresh grad and currently in that "waiting phase" for my actual work deployment (which is taking longer than I expected). So I want to use this time to learn freelancing and eventually land a part-time gig (hopefully). Ideally, I’d love to keep the side hustle even when my real work starts soon.

Kaso, honestly, I feel overwhelmed. I know I have no work experience yet, but I’m ready to invest the time to upskill and start properly.

About me:

• Background: Technical degree (Aviation), so I’m very used to strict protocols, high-accuracy data, and documentation.

• Tools I'm comfortable using: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendar, Meet), Canva, Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Powerpoint Notes, Outlook, Teams), Zoom, and Trello (still learning this).

• Goal: Start with Data Management/Data Entry, Admin Support, or VA tasks as part-time for extra income.

Questions for the experts:

• Given my background, what specific niche do you recommend I should focus on para mag-stand out?

• What should I put in my portfolio to prove my skills even without past clients/past work experience? Can I input there my previous projects as a student leader or experience during my OJT?

• Best platforms for part-time/project-based work na hindi masyadong scammy and beginner-friendly?

I just want to be productive and help with expenses and sustain my needs while waiting. If you have any advice or just thoughts, I’m all ears. Thank youu! 🙏✈️

Hi everyone. I just wanted to vent and maybe ask for some advice hehe.

I just realized I’m the type of person who is interested in trying absolutely everything but ends up doing nothing. I have a problem where I get super excited about new things—learn trading, learn freelancing, side hustles, starting new hobbies—but I end up doing nothing because I get overwhelmed by all the options. I spend all my time researching and "preparing" but never actually take the first real step. I spend so much time too debating on which path to go on and get paralyzed by the fear of choosing the wrong thing or trying to do it all at the same time.

It’s like Sylvia Plath’s fig tree analogy—I’m sitting at the base watching all these "figs" (potential skills) rot because I can’t choose just one to start with. I feel like a "Jack of all trades" who hasn't even started the trades yet.

Has anyone else felt this "urge to do everything" but stayed stuck at zero because of the overwhelm? I’d love to hear how you guys narrowed your focus down to just one or two things.

Hi! I'm a fresh grad, no prior work experience. Currently waiting for my deployment sa real job. I've been really curious about the VA/freelancing industry.

I want to start learning and want to use Brayarn's portal (if you know him; since his course is free, not like the others with pay) and youtube university hahaha. Goal ko lang is to know more about this industry and eventually land a part-time gig, not a full-time. Since this isn't exactly aligned with my career path—I just want to be productive and earn extra.

My questions for the freelancers/VAs here:

Is it realistic to find a part-time client who is newbie-friendly in today’s market?

For those who used Brayarn’s free courses, were you able to land a client even without paid certifications?

Is the time investment worth it if I only intend to do this part-time? (I’m hoping to continue this as a side hustle even once I start my full-time job for extra income.)

For those who juggle both corporate and freelancing, is it manageable to maintain a part-time VA role without burning out, or is the learning curve too steep for just a "sideline"?

Would love to hear your thoughts or "real talk" advice! Hahaha thank youuu!
