Kobbie Mainoo set to be in included - Talksport

Turnaround
talkSPORT understands that Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is set to be included in the England squad.
The midfielder played a key role in getting the Red Devils back into the Champions League, and his performances have been rewarded.
That means Adam Wharton's spot on the plane is in doubt.
The Crystal Palace star could still go, but he is at risk of missing out.
But for Mainoo, it completes a remarkable turnaround from being out in the cold under Ruben Amorim.

Thomas Tuchel is strongly considering calling up Levi Colwill for England's World Cup squad, talkSPORT understands.

Thomas Tuchel is strongly considering calling up Levi Colwill for England's World Cup squad, talkSPORT understands.
Colwill has impressed Tuchel since returning from a serious knee injury and the England boss watched the Chelsea centre back during last weekend's FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City.
He has proven his fitness after returning to training over two months ago with Tuchel tracking his progress prior to the centre back returning to the first team. Colwill has also featured from Chelsea’s under-21 side as part of his recovery
Colwill being named in Tuchel's 26-man squad would leave Dan Burn and Harry Maguire sweating on making the plane with Marc Guehi and Ezri Konsa certain to be included.
Tuchel must also weigh up whether to pick experienced tournament campaigner John Stones after an injury-ravaged season at Manchester City.
Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall is expected to be part of the squad.
talkSPORT also understands Dean Henderson will be understudy to Jordan Pickford, although the Crystal Palace goalkeeper will report for duty later than most of the rest of the squad with Palace playing in the Conference League final next mid-week.
Manchester City's James Trafford is set to complete the goalkeeper rostrum, with Brighton veteran Jason Steele going as an extra training 'keeper.
Anthony Gordon will also get the nod having not played for Newcastle since April 12.
At the top end of the pitch, talkSPORT reported earlier this month that Danny Welbeck was named in Tuchel's long 55-man list and there is a chance he is called up eight years after winning his last cap.
Ollie Watkins was snubbed for the March internationals but is ending the season with Aston Villa in a rich run of goalscoring form.

talkSPORT understands Dean Henderson WILL be named in the England squad.
But he'll report to the camp late as a result of the Conference League final.
The Crystal Palace star will be one of the goalkeepers heading to North America.
However, due to the Conference League final next Wednesday, he will report late for duty.
The rest of the England squad will be announced at 9:45am tomorrow, and talkSPORT will be right across all of it on air and on .com.
There might also be a call for another goalkeeper for the pre-tournament training and warm-up games.

Should Levi Colwill start at the World cup.

He is clearly in better form than Stones and both Guehi and Konsa feel like they could be replaced as starters by Colwill at least in certain matches .

Ollie Watkins penalty record might be what sees him left out.

He is not good at penalties. Particularly compare for his rivials like Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dominic Solanke, Danny Welbeck and Ivan Toney. Which for a back uo striker is a big issue. At Euro 2024 Toney went so that could be worked around but if Tuchel is only taking two strikers I do wonder if one of the 4 above will sneak in instead. .

Levi Colwill in the provisional squad.

The world was sitting at Levi Colwill's feet. Literally, in a sense. The Club World Cup trophy was on the floor in front of him, and Chelsea's central defender was crouching down, posing for a picture with an England flag draped over his shoulders. Then it happened.

The ACL – three letters that no footballer ever wishes to hear because the anterior cruciate ligament is immediately associated with seasons ending.

It is only because Colwill’s injury occurred so long ago – on the first day of pre-season training at Cobham, three weeks after beating Paris Saint-Germain to become a world champion last summer – that he has returned in time to try to help Chelsea lift another trophy in the FA Cup.

That is good for his club, and, potentially, for his country. We are told Thomas Tuchelis set to attend this final between Chelsea and Manchester City at Wembley Stadium and, while he will have his pick of Englishmen to pore over, particular attention should be paid to Colwill.

Tuchel had to submit a 55-man squad to FIFA by midnight on Monday this week. It is only provisional, but it is from this pool that he will select his final 26 players to represent England at the World Cup. The FA have not announced who was chosen, but Daily Mail Sport can reveal Colwill is among those initially included in Tuchel’s long list of 55.

That news alone – confirmation that Tuchel is continuing to consider him – will have acted as a confidence booster for the 23-year-old after a long, occasionally lonely, comeback.

Provisional 55 player squad rumours from the Telegraph.

‘Luke Shaw, Danny Welbeck and Jarrad Branthwaite are set to be included in the provisional World Cup squad Thomas Tuchel will submit to Fifa. Tuchel must give a maximum of 55 names before today’s deadline, then will name a final 26 next week at Wembley.

Tuchel’s longlist, which is not made public, is effectively all those available, including players such as Shaw, Welbeck and Branthwaite who have yet to play under the German coach. The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Gallagher and Alex Scott were not in the March squad but are available for the World Cup, where England’s first match is June 17.

Shaw has been excellent for Manchester United as they have returned to the Champions League. Branthwaite’s only cap was against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the build-up to Euro 2024 but Gareth Southgate did not include him in the final squad.

Welbeck’s last cap was in September 2018, after he went to the World Cup earlier that year. There have been calls for him to be Harry Kane’s back-up after his 14 goals for Brighton this season’
