Need urgent advice

I took 2 doses of teno-em 44 hours earlier. I didn’t take the 24 hours later dose and I have now potentially had exposure (heterosexual sex with risky individual without condom). What do I do now? I don’t want to go on pep for this

using dating apps in blr feels like a slot machine that makes me more and more depressed

Hi, I am 26M from Bangalore. I would consider myself average looking, 6’2 and reasonably well off with my own business. However since I work from home in a more remote area (hebbal/yelahanka), there are few socializing events where I can meet women.

This leads me to rely on dating apps more compared to other cities and neighborhoods I have lived in. The problem is that for whatever reason I don’t get any good matches in Bangalore. A friend who looks similar to me but has much better pics (playing football, with a dog etc) gets 100+ likes a day. I have been trying to recreate his success but for whatever reason, the algorithm hasn’t been kind to me (maybe cos i am not as photogenic and my elo has already been fucked from my past attempts)

I struggle with this as it feels like a massive bottleneck for my happiness. Like today, I am spending it alone in my house but if I just had better pics I’d have several date options and the fact that something so trivial makes such a big difference in how I experience the city is a mindfuck.

finding it hard to write copy and design apps/sites with ai

the past few months, i have been in a rut. i get an idea for a product/site, i talk to ai about it and it ends up moving the goalpost and convincing me to do something just slightly different which i then end up building and it always flops

for example, i saw both outbid dot lol and brandmymac dot com and they seem like such simple ideas executed well and quickly. i've had similar ideas over the past year but as soon as i share them with ai to execute it, it's copy and design deviates from the vision massively

also the copy ends up being super verbose and nonsensical. i find it more and more frustrating to use ai. prior to this, i used to be a designer and dev and i'd take my time designing the product and people had much lower standards than they do now so it used to be so fun building something. nowadays, the bar is much higher and anything that's not extremely unique or well explained gets labelled as slop. previously it felt like cruising with a honda city and enjoying the view of the city and with ai it feels like you have a ferrari but the ferrari is retarded and keeps crashing into the side of the road and accelerating in the wrong direction

how are you guys managing this?

what kind of b2c saas products do better as web apps instead of mobile apps?

the reason i was driven to entrepreneurship is free will and agency and not having to please anyone. however, after a year of making mobile apps - i've realized that i'm a slave to app store and its whims. i'd now prefer to again build on the web but am not sure what kind of b2c apps/saas do better as web apps (from both ui/ux and monetization perspective). one example is nsfw products, what else would fit the criteria?

Where can I hire interns/contractors in Jakarta?

Hi,

I am an Indian nomad planning to stay in Jakarta/Indonesia for the next 6 months. I am looking to hire someone to help me shoot and edit short form video content to promote my startups and do a bit of personal branding.

What would be the best place to hire social media/marketing interns? Also what would be a good pay for part-time work?

i created a site that gives you prompts to replace your paid app subscriptions

i got tired of seeing apps like quittr, cal ai, umax etc make millions of ARR when they are simple gpt wrappers that are primarily relying on marketing and people forgetting their subscription to continue to grow their revenue

i decided to build a site that gives an honest assessment of what features you can vibecode of famous consumer apps (starting currently with just 25 apps, but planning to add more soon) and the prompt to do so.

you can check it out here: https://freethe.app

would love feedback on it

i want to know the common reasons founders get screwed out of their equity

when my last company got acquired, i was forced to give up equity i'd negotiated for in the apa, because of bureacratic laws of my home country which make it hard for me to own equity in a foreign llc.

in retrospect, i probably could have gotten better lawyers and ironed it out but in the moment, after a gruelling acquisition proccess and facing health issues - i was tired and just wanted to let go, so i relinqueshed my equity. this came to bite me severely later on as the company grew much larger, was acquired by a public company in cash and my equity would have been worth much more than the cash i got for the initial acquisition

this has left me quite paranoid and i have been researching ways founders/co-founders are forced to let go of their equity - to avoid chances of this happening again

if you/someone you know has been through something similar, can you please share the story of how it happened, what could have been done differently and if there was any resolution?

Da Nang as a base for an Indian entrepreneur?

Hi, I'm a 26M founder from India. I exited a media startup after scaling it to $100k in profit and 5M+ users within a year in 2023 and am now exploring new ideas.

I've lived in Chiang Mai for the past 2 years while doing short trips across South East Asia. Chiang Mai was great from an infrastructure/vibe standpoint but I faced two problems in Thailand/CNX that I'd prefer to avoid in my next city:

  1. Most friends I made were expats/nomads as the locals seemed quite insular and there was a massive culture/language difference. The problem with being only friends with expats is that there is no compounding that happens - most people leave often and then you have to build your circle from scratch again. Is it similar in Vietnam/Da Nang? How can I make local friends here?
  2. I always felt a sense of casual racism/unwelcomeness in Thailand from some farangs/locals. This wasn't a major issue but I've been to some lesser known spots where this was completely absent and the difference in my mental health was quite substantial.

I wanted to get feedback from current residents/nomads in Da Nang - how has your experience been living there? I'd also love to connect if you're building something as well - I'm primarily looking at Da Nang as an option because of the growing entrepreneurial scene there.

Thanks!

EDIT: wow, a lot of racism in the comments - ig the statement about losers back home is true. enjoy your miserable lives.

feeling lonely while vibecoding my projects alone

hi, ive been trying to build many projects over the past one year or so but i always leave them in between and i think a major reason for this is lack of company and accountability when building.

i am considering creating a discord/whatsapp group where we do virtual coworking sessions at a predecided time daily and keep each other accountable

would you like to join this?

Experienced/Exited Founder looking to connect with people building in Media, Community and Hardware.

Hi, I built a media startup to $100K+ in profit and 5M+ users in 9 months of launch and exited it successfully in 2023. It was later acquired by Hubspot this year. My skillset involves product design, tech and solid distribution instinct.

I'm currently in Bangalore for a couple weeks (usually live in South East Asia/Latin America otherwise) and am looking to connect with founders. I'm specially interested in hardware, media, and community startups. If you've previously had experience building in this sector or are currently exploring ideas - would love to chat (and then preferably meet irl)

are ai musicians actually making money? i went through the ones that charted or got signed recently

ai music is all over the place right now, so i checked which ai acts actually have real numbers or chart placements behind them, with sources:

  1. xania monet - an ai r&b / gospel singer (voice made in suno, lyrics by a poet from mississippi). reportedly signed a record deal worth up to $3m with hallwood media, 44m+ us streams (billboard, corroborated by forbes).
  2. the velvet sundown - a fully ai-generated band that passed 1m spotify monthly listeners. reported to have earned around $34k in a single month from streaming (fox news, with cnbc context).
  3. breaking rust - ai outlaw-country act, hit #1 on billboard's country digital song sales chart with "walk my walk", 3m+ spotify streams in under a month (newsweek, nbc news).
  4. aventhis - ai country artist built with suno, passed 1m spotify monthly listeners, top track 2.4m streams (music business worldwide).
  5. cain walker - ai country act, hit #3 on billboard's country digital song sales chart, ~842k monthly listeners (billboard, just jared).

however, this is a winners-take-all thing. deezer reported that in 2025 up to ~85% of streams on ai tracks were flagged as fraudulent and demonetized, and around 44% of new uploads are ai. the acts above are rare outliers, not the median.

i track ai side hustles like this on my site with real search-demand numbers. check it out if you think it's useful: https://alterwork.com
