Why is it so common to demonize others for dating outside of their race?

I have been demonized on several occasions for “not dating black” or “race mixing”.

I’ve been told things like “well now I can’t take what you’re saying seriously anymore because you don’t date black” - and the topic won’t even have anything to do with dating

It just kinda implies that my thoughts or feelings no longer count in the black community because my partner isn’t black.

My question is why does it matter? Why should we only be forced to love based on color? What if someone that’s a different color makes me feel loved and valued? What if we have a lot in common and want to spend our lives together? Why is color such a big factor in such a complex thing?

Idk it just kinda feels like we fought to end segregation just to further enforce it in other ways.

Yes black love is beautiful! But why must we tell other black people that they’re less of a human because they don’t hold a bias in dating?

Just curious

Edit: this post isn’t about black people who don’t date their own race. Just those who choose to date outside their race as an option. It’s not about people who’re refuse to date their own race 😭😭😭 I date my own race, I also date outside of my race. I am a person who dates out of their race. My partner just happens to be of another race. Please focus.

Why did Lexi and Jules even come back?

I used to love both characters but they’ve recently become so insufferable.

For Lexi, I didn’t start disliking her until this season. I get that Cassie is annoying and does dumb things, but it gets to a point where you have to cut the whining. I feel like a contributing factor to Cassie’s behavior is her support system - or lack there of

It’s been shown that her mother and Lexi don’t really take her seriously. Ii know they suicide seen was supposed to be “funny”- but what if she truly felt that way in the moment?
I mean yea what she did was shit to Maddie, and the fact that she continued with Nate even after— insane. Bbut family is forever. And it seemed like her own family just got annoyed at everything she would do or say. I don’t even fuck my like Cassie. She is VERY annoying, but if she was my SISTER? I’d give her a little more grace.

Not to mention the diabolical play that Lexi wrote. It was literally so humiliating for Cassie. I would’ve been upset too. Again, Cassie did get Lexi’s man in trouble when she gave info to Nate. But I would never go out of my way to write a humiliating scene about my own sister over a man.

It also shows in the first season that Lexi has always felt like she lived in her sisters shadow- so I feel like there is a bit of jealousy.

As for Jules? I loved Jules the first season. After that? No. I hate the way she treated rue season 2 and I hate the way she’s treating rue now. She isn’t just genuinely fucking insufferable and I don’t feel that she needs much more of a story line. She’s just a shitty character with no values, like Cassie. Just stepping on others to get things.

Sorry.

When are we going to actually prioritize our own community?

When are we going to actually prioritize our own community?

** please excuse my atrocious typos I’m just lazy**

I want more black doctors, lawyers, JUDGES especially, politicians, engineers (NOT JUST tech). We make about 15 percent of the population (give or take a few), and right ahead of hispanics, the men of our demographic hold the least degrees.

(To preface, this is more toward people who are in the position to make this happen)

I did a small experiment on my own, in my own free time out of sheer curiosity.
I spent a month asking various black men if theyre in college, why or why not, what do they wanna do, etc. some of these were my friends, acquaintance, or people I know through mutuals. Some of them, I’ve never met prior to this.

I did this on live streams with black men ranging about 20 to 30. I really hate to say this but a very small amount of them wanted to pursue a degree. When asked why, they'd say things like "I wanna be an entrepreneur", "thats boring", "Imma work in construction", "I want a trade", "I make more money by doing (illegal activity) and i dont wanna stop", "I do sports bets, its gonna get me where I need to start that business".

I asked if they'd consider still obtaining one as a black up plan. 8/10 would say no because they felt that their self-made business, trade, etc - was going to get them where they needed to be.

Now, I understand theyre not all in the same place in life, and that there are obstacles in this world. I absolutely agree. But not one of those men i inquired said anything to the beat of "I'm genuinely unable to because of (situation)". They simply just didn't want to.

I followed up that line of questioning with a mini assessment consisting of 5 very basic foundational pre-algebra questions. Dividing fractions, absolute value, Unit price. These we start in 7th grade and worth with until we graduate. We divide fractions and calculate unit price in our daily lives. we should know these things on paper.

Ive received many different responses such as:

\- out right admitting they didn't know how to do it

\- attempted to answer the question by asking me their own math question as a form of deflecting

\- showing signs of slight frustration (I made sure to tell them it wasn't required once they got upset)

\- getting it wrong (I dont tell them its wrong until the end)

\- actually solving it (I wanna say about 3 of them were able to comprehend the concepts)

I genuinely think the more negative reactions show that the reason they don't want degrees or don't care to get them is because they're not confident in their own intelligence or don't want to apply themselves. Which upsets me because the universities will offer your resources. That and the fact that theres SO much room for potential.

I then asked them if they were offered a 6 month course to brush up on these skills, out of 10 men, about 4 would say yes. Sit with that.

\-

anyway, I am by NO means bashing these other ways to secure income. You can absolutely make great money owning your own business, and having a trade. But i feel THOSE should be backup options. A degree is a sure thing. A degree is a sense of security. A degree is well respected. You will always have it under your built. I will also add that your major matters, so keep that in mind.

Our women are dying in the hospital simply because their doctor feels as though their pain isn't important enough to take seriously. Politicians incorporating things that go against us. Judges are sentencing our men to death row, and then when when it comes it light that they were wrongfully accused, theyre THROWING AWAY their exoneration appeals and letting those men die. They are LEGALLY lyinching our people.

Those judges, politicians, and doctors arent focusing on a "maybe", or a gamble, or a get-rich-quick track after they make enough on placing bets. They focused on their degrees and made name for themselves. Now they get a say in decisions that affect their own people. They are their own advocates. We cant be our own advocates because we refuse to. Valuing quick money over the longevity of our own community is mind boggling to me. Do those things on the SIDE.

(Side note: as per my experiment, please take it with a grain of salt. I did this out of my own curiosity. I’m not a researcher or expert on any topic. I solely wanted to seek my own answers for my own curiosity)

Again, This isn't meant to bash our people. Its me begging you to encourage your son, your friends, yourSELF to put the "quick money, entrepreneur" schtik on the back burner and take the step to guaranteeing our people longevity, equality, and respect. Get the degree and don't let anybody stop you. (this is for the people who are obviously in the position to.)

I finally understood inherent racism

Is inherent racism real to you?

For context, I am a black woman who has dated white people. I was a kid, I was ignorant, I was just making my mistakes. Not to say white men are mistakes, I just mean not being aware of the people you build bonds with. You don't truly know them.

I used to wonder how a race could be inherently racist. I used to say "If you put a black baby and white baby in the same crib - they will play with eachother. theyre babies. Racism is hate and hate is a taught behavior".

But then I realized.. racism can also be things that simply arent taught. I started dating this guy and it was going fine. It was fine until we started having deeper conversations. One conversation in particular was about the medical bias. I did my college essay on it and I am very well-versed. The medical bias has been proven several times, as there are statistics on it. When I explained to him I only wanted a black doctor, this threw him off. Im understanding, so I explained why and then provided with the necessary explanation.

He responded by saying "what? thats crazy. A doctor wouldnt neglect you because youre black. theyre doctors. its their jobs", despite the studies.. despite any stats and real life stories.

And I could tell that it wasn't to demean me, or make me feel bad. It was out of genuine ignorance. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge. Refusing to educate yourself on something that harms an oppressed group of people is willful ignorance. Willful ignorance is racism.

And at first I didnt hit it right on the head right away.. I was frustrated and annoyed.. but he just kept.. doing things like that.

Anyway, My last straw was when we were on our way home from a road trip - and we live in the south -and we passed a huge flag pole that held up the confederate flag. i said "yuck".

Now in this day and age, you'd expect everyone you know to be aware of the confederate flag and its negative history. Basic knowledge.

He didn't know what it was. Mind you- we are adults. His excuse is that "well im from utah" or whatever... I genuinely don't think that matters.

Being an adult caucasian able-bodied man, you automatically are the most privileged person in this country. You are apart of that group whether you realize it or not. Whether youre poor, rich, short, tall, etc. You are lightyears ahead of every person thats not a white man. Choosing to date women of color and not making the conscious choice to inform yourself about the tragedies of her people - basic concepts taught in middle school, up until high school. Thats just ridiculous. But whats worse is choosing to downplay something that can potentially harm her or your future family, when she brings it to your attention. Do better.

-

so i guess my question here is, whats your take on inherent racism? does it exist? why or why not?

Just curious - do yall support the death penalty?

Hi! I find myself discussing this topic a lot because of the many interesting points of views.

I'm genuinely curious whether or not you guys support. I don't support it and one of the very many reasons why is because it's historically racist and used as a form of "legal lynching" toward our people. Although thats not my first reason on why I don't agree with it, it is one of my main reasons.

So in turn, I wonder why - for those of you who do - you are in support of it.

THIS is who I saw arguing in season 4. The same two girls we met 3 years ago.

I didn't see the older stubborn Queen Charlotte and the older frustrated Lady Danbury. I just saw two girls -(Queen) Charlotte and Agatha. I saw two best friends in a tiff. Charlotte had not a clue in the world, and Agatha had more knowledge than she'd wish. They were one another life savers. They still are. Truly a master piece to this day.

Charlotte died on my birthday, so every year I binge watch the series again. NEVER had a favorite tv show before this. Bravo, Shonda.

That's So Raven will always be the best show in Disney Channel History

https://preview.redd.it/mkp5nburil1h1.jpg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=769babb487add0a3a37331be36eac24979cc9747

That's So Raven easily clears all other shows. While it may not be my favorite disney show of all time, I can still remain unbias and say that TSR is objectively THE most nuanced series. Which is extremely important consider who much Disney has toned down the more controversial topics.

At the time, I was a dumb kid. I didnt know anything. But, watching this particular episode opened my eyes about racism in America. It taught me that just because we're taught in school that slavery has been abolished, doesn't mean that racism itself is also abolished. It affects poc in so many other ways, such as systematically (Raven being disqualified as a candidate because of the color of her skin).

But whats insane is the irony of what they try to show us vs whats actually happening. Behind the scenes, raven would receive critiscism due to her size. Honestly, in TV, the bigger girl tends to be black a lot of the time.

For Disney to spread awareness about such issues, while simultaneously treating its' star that way bts, its insane.

also: I am aware that there are many other great shows that highlight other issues.. But this one was one of the first, and by far the most memorable. Please dont miss the nuance.

My tonsils are trying to kill me

DUDE..

a little back story:

so a few years ago i my throat was sore so i check. I saw a white bulb and fidgeted with it for like 5 secs. never went away, I though maybe it wasnt a big deal. it never bothered me. Years go by and the same. NEVER bothered me. One day I cough, and it fucking flys out. at the time, i thought maybe it was food or something. a few days laugh, im inspecting my mouth and realize that the bulb is gone. i put two and two together. So i started googling tonsil stones and watching videos and I was so grossed out. I thought id never get it again.

Boy was I wrong.

As time progressed, they got worse and worse over time. I mean, more started appearing. Id get one, remove it, and boom, the next one.and itsalllwayss my right tonsil. And before you know it, i have an apartment complex of tonsil stones in my right tonsil dude. Over time, learned how to get them out on my own and what tools work best for me. I also started noticing my breath would smell so... odd. like worse than usual. Doc said to salt water rinse it should be fine. it never is. Now im considering removing them. Especially after whats going on right now.

-

Obviously, ive become quite familiar with the anatomy of my tonsils. Well, there always been this one small flab that felt.. "tough". I thught nothing of it until today. The last few weeks ive had stones ive been trying to knock out but this time is a bit trickier. Ive done it over the course of 2 weeks so that I dont do too much damage and that im gentle. I think I did too much because my hears started muffling, and I got ringing in my ears so i stopped. I started back a week later bc I couldnt ake the taste and the salt water wasnt helping.

COME TO FIND OUT, that the one litle tough flab is like.. the LANDLORD of my tonsil stone apartment bro. because for the last week or so, ive been getting the WORST taste ever and im FINALLY getting through to that flab. THATS the root of evil. PRAY FOR ME YALL.

question: get them removed?

Ive heard so many mixed reviews about her outfit. More negative than good, but i LOVED it. I liked it before i even realized that its literally inspired by josh from the goonies. Maybe im weird, but I think its cute.. and id wear it if i knew i wouldnt get made fun of for it. Also how did you guys feel about her bangs in the prior season? I was a huge fan. I love her style most of the time.

small coastal business gets reddit witch hunted after one user escalates a vague flyer into trafficking accusations, even after mod approval

to preface: the original flyer and application post was deleted. tthe final clarification note with the slideshow and safety resources also appears to have been deleted or removed (likely for good reason). this post is simply the afterermath. the only one still up is the second post they made, which is the q&a. screenshots or saved links can be provided if needed if i still have them.

so a small coastal food and drink startup posted in a seasonal work subreddit about accepting applications for a future promo and ambassador role. from what i gathered, op is planning some kind of beachy canteen and surf shack style concept with coffee, smoothies, quick food, and a promo event before the main canteen opening.

the first post was basically a flyer and an application link. it mentioned “shore girls,” headshots, a week long promo activation, and a beachy lifeguard style uniform. the first uniform mockup was a front tie crop top, spandex shorts, white socks, and sneakers.

predictably, reddit did not handle this calmly lol.

some users thought the whole thing looked hooters adjacent or breastaurant ish. honestly, fair enough. the flyer was vague, the role sounded kind of “casting call” ish, and “girls plus headshots plus uniform mockup plus promo event” is probably one of the worst combinations to drop into reddit without a ton of context.

the uniform criticism was not completely unfair either. hooters also uses tight shorts and tank style tops, and not everyone likes that kind of restaurant or promo aesthetic. i get why people reacted to it. at the same time, the location is a coastal island in new england where summers are hot, humid, casual, and very beach heavy. crop tops, tanks, shorts, bikinis, and beach clothes are normal there. so i can see both sides. the first uniform could have used a higher neckline and less breastaurant energy, but i also don’t think beachy summer clothes automatically equal something sinister.

after that criticism, they seem to have recognized their errors. op deleted the original flyer and application post and came back with the linked q&a thread to clarify things.

in that q&a, op tried to explain that the role was supposed to be a paid promotional and ambassador position for a coastal launch event, not a restaurant server job and not adult entertainment. op said the uniform mockup was not final, nobody would be forced into a finalized look, and final uniform decisions would be discussed with the selected applicants. op also clarified that nobody would be asked for revealing photos, measurements, explicit material, private travel, fees, or secret meetups.

op also said they were willing to verify the business side privately with moderators if needed, including registration info and relevant business or tax documentation. so the response wasn’t just “trust us.” they were offering actual verification behind the scenes.

the q&a was supposed to calm things down. instead, one specific user from the previously deleted post kept pushing the issue across posts. other people had fair questions, some were mean trolls. but this one user became the main escalation point and really took things too far. they went from criticizing the uniform and application wording to repeatedly implying the business was connected to trafficking, a strip club, or something much darker. apparently without evidence.

this is where the mods became part of the story. op went to the moderators, provided info, and the mods reviewed the situation. the q&a thread was green lit, approved, and left up. several accusations and comments were reportedly removed because they lacked proof or relevant evidence. so this was not just op saying “trust us.” mods had already stepped in and allowed the clarification post to stay up.

but the complaining didn’t really stop.

after the q&a, the same general accusations kept circulating, so op made a final note and clarification post. that final note is where they really addressed the trafficking claims directly, added more safety and reporting resources, linked the detailed google slides deck, and explained the concept more fully. that final post has since been deleted or removed, but i found the link from my browser history before it disappeared.

from what was in that final note, op included:

their website

a legitimate business email

a google slides deck explaining the full concept

role clarification

uniform clarification

safety notes

willingness to verify registration and business documentation with mods

reporting links, including trafficking resources and local police

repeated statements that they are not adult entertainment, not trafficking, and not asking applicants for anything explicit or unsafe

an update that the original first splash location was being cancelled out of concern for applicant safety

that last part is where the whole thing went from regular reddit drama to actually kind of gross. because after the trafficking accusations and “adult entertainment” comments kept getting thrown around, op said they were cancelling the original first splash location out of concern for the safety of current applicants and anyone publicly associated with the event. basically, the accusations got serious enough that the original location was no longer worth the risk. which is valid, because now there’s a rumor that applicants are somehow tied to adult entertainment. people are unhinged in this day and age and do evil things for literally no reason, so i get why op pulled the location.

the funny and interesting part is that the thread became less about the actual business and more about reddit’s ability to turn vague branding into a full courtroom drama.

there were fair criticisms:

the first post was too vague

compensation should have been clearer upfront

“casting” language was probably a terrible choice

headshots for a local promo role can feel intimidating

the first uniform mockup def invited hooters comparisons

the launch timeline made people confused about why recruiting was happening so early

the website probably should have had founder and ownership info before the flyer went up

but then the thread jumped from “this looks amateur and shady” to “this is trafficking,” which is a massive leap.

the headshot debate was also interesting. for a normal restaurant server job, asking for a headshot would feel weird. for a promotional ambassador, brand model, or public facing event role, a recent headshot is not automatically shady. it sounds like the process was supposed to start with name, headshot, social media, availability, and a short note. then it would move into an info session and group interview where candidates could ask questions and op could see personality, confidence, and teamwork. that is definitely more intense than a normal seasonal job application, but it also sounds more like promo and event staffing than standard restaurant hiring. plus, it’s a themed restaurant.

i also think some people online flatten every female facing promo role into “exploitation” way too quickly. you can dislike hooters, twin peaks, breastaurants, promo girls, ambassador programs, etc. that is totally fair. but the women who work those jobs are still people. a lot of them are students, servers, bartenders, promo workers, or seasonal employees trying to make money. disliking the concept does not mean the workers deserve to be shamed or treated like victims with no agency.

and even if this concept had stayed more hooters adjacent, which op says it is not, “i personally dislike this branding” is still different from “this is a trafficking ring.”

that is where the thread got weird to me.

after a while, the criticism from that one user stopped feeling like good faith skepticism and started feeling personal. it had that very reddit specific energy where someone decides a business is suspicious, then treats every clarification as more evidence instead of less. fair questions are fair. but repeatedly escalating after op clarified the role, deleted the original flyer, made a q&a, offered verification, went through mods, had unsupported claims removed, and then had to make a whole final safety note starts looking less like concern and more like a grudge.

op kept trying to answer questions, but every answer seemed to create a new argument. saying they were women owned became its own fight. going to mods after trafficking accusations became its own fight. linking safety resources became its own fight. even changing the uniform became part of the fight.

at a certain point, it felt like the original criticism was no longer enough, so the same user kept finding the next angle. safety concerns are valid. repeatedly implying criminal conduct after the available evidence and mod action do not support it is something else. especially when the result is that an event location gets cancelled because applicants could be harassed or misidentified.

my closing thought is basically: op absolutely should have been more detailed from the beginning. the first post gave just enough information to raise questions, but not enough to prevent people from filling in the blanks themselves. that was a mistake. but reddit also did what reddit does. took vague branding, added suspicion, added moral panic, and then escalated way beyond the available evidence.

more than anything, this turned into a pretty good example of mob mentality and trial by internet. once people decided op was shady, no clarification was ever going to be enough. every answer got treated like damage control. every correction became “proof” that something was being hidden. even after mods stepped in, reviewed it, allowed the q&a to stay up, and removed unsupported accusations, the narrative kept moving anyway.

and that is the part that feels the most gross to me. it’s one thing to say “this flyer is vague” or “this uniform is not for me.” it’s another thing to attach trafficking and adult entertainment rumors to a small startup and the applicants connected to it without actual proof. false narratives online can have real world consequences, and in this case, op says it literally push them to cancel the original event location because of applicant safety concerns.

i’ll add one softer observation: some of the reaction also felt like a generational and aesthetic mismatch. a beachy, female led, promo heavy concept with uniforms, headshots, and a “cute coastal crew” vibe is always going to hit differently depending on the reader. some people see fun seasonal promo work. some see outdated hooters energy. some see safety concerns. and some seem to react from a place of personal discomfort with that kind of role existing at all. that discomfort is allowed, but it does not automatically make the business predatory.

Beck fangirls

I decided to double down on my claims about Beck I don’t care. I’m not even a jade fan. She is a bitch sometimes. Atleast I can recognize that.

But what KILLLLSSSS me — society is infamous for excusing the behavior of a man. If the behavior isn’t obnoxious, and obvious, then it’s automatically excused.

Beck is not out-right loud and obvious about his disrespect. He does it quietly, and he’s very manipulative. He KNOWS jade. He knows how she is. Why constantly entertain other women when you know jade doesn’t like it? He loves the attention he received from the girls

He makes her out to be crazy when she expresses her frustration very clearly, but ignore that.

He would rarely reassure her when there was concern. He could’ve done it MORE than wha he did.

Anytime there was a concern with jade, he wouldn’t confront it head on. He wouldn’t actually solve it.

—-

All very obvious signs of manipulative behavior and if you dismiss that, then you’re part of the problem. This is why men consistently get away with behavior like this..

Either that, or you genuinely don’t understand why that behavior is abusive and toxic. Which is worse.

You can say “oh jades a bitch!!” All day. I agree, she is. But don’t ever ask why she’s being a bitch? Why she’s on edge? It’s because the one person that is supposed to make her feels safe.. constantly puts her in situations where she feels threatened, unsafe, or insecure

- meeting with Tori behind her back knowing jade doesn’t like that

- kissing Tori in the pilot? He could’ve said anything else tha started with the letter L.
•”Let’s not”
•”Let’s hug instead”

- the group of girls he had in his car. He literally says “sometimes girls just show up at my house and ask for rides to school”, and the girls are clearly flirting and pandering to him. Offering him gum because he asked for gum, agraving his shoulder, being overly flirtatious. The fact that it’s a consistent thing? And he allows it?

Those are only a FEW examples! He Never put a blatant stop to it, and he never embarrassed or rejected when girls tried to compete for him- even when jade was around. lol.

So this whole “jades just randomly a bitch. She’s a bitch all on her own”, as if she’s not in a constant state of paranoia and a LITERALLY VICTIM OF ABUSE … it’s nuts to me tbh

Normalize holding men accountable for their behavior.

But then again, the fan girls are probably 16 year old girls and don’t understand that those aren’t normal behaviors.

Just to clarify- this post is mainly speaking on their relationship. Not their isolated behaviors or personality’s

Beck was the villain.

Growing up, I never understood why jade was SUCH a Bch!!!

Now, I’m realizing that beck is the reason.. he consistently ALLOWS women to invade his personal space, disrespect jade, and test their boundaries.

Jade was always left to feel insecure, or made out be the “crazy girlfriend” when in reality, she had a boyfriend that viewed her as disposable.

Death penalty should be banned universally. If you disagree, you’re irrational, racist, or just as evil as the criminal.

Let’s PLEASE delete the death penalty all together. Honestly, it’s not necessary. I’m just gonna start by saying if your honest argument is “I don’t wanna waste my tax dollars on them so they can just sit in prisonnnnn”, then I’d recommend further research. It’s more expensive to put them to death than to give them several life sentences. Also, money shouldn’t be your motive.

According to our constitution, we are entitled to the fundamental right of life. Life cannot be deprived without due process. Yes the death penalty is given after due process, however, our constitution also states that punishment after due process cannot be cruel and unusual. The whole concept of this inhumane punishment is contradictory to our own countries values.

A lot of people will argue eye for an eye— and then in the same breath, they’ll admit they aren’t even religious. They don’t know the true meaning of it — an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, foot for foot. They think punishment should be equal. I think this is just so.. irrational. I mean, I understand the anger and the shock. I get it wanting to instantly react to a LOSER who is the scum of the earth.. but Truthfully, eye for an eye makes the world go blind. We are as bad as the killer. We’re rooting for blood sport. If we keep retaliating and seeking this revenge, we are the ones who suffer in the end. Especially the wrongfully accused (I’ll get more into that in a bit)

It also holds a very racist background. You can have two people who are wrongfully accused of the same exact crime, one black and one white. Both people are put on death row, and both people file an appeal with the same judge. It will be harder for that black person to get exonerated than the white person.

That and the fact that there are studies showing that black people are wrongfully convicted and sent on death row more than any other race. They are 7.5 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted than a white person. Wrongful convictions occur more with people of color. How convenient. Not only that, but the risk for wrongful convictions of black people increases if the victim is white.

I’d even go as far as saying they use it as a weapon. For example - George stinney junior. 14 years old. The youngest person to get executed in the US in the 20th century. And yes- he was black. He was accused of murdering two white girls, and was never given due process.

Marcellus Williams was executed in 2024 for a crime he did not commit. He saw on death row for 20 years.

Aside from the very clear racial bias, the fact that there’s even a chance for mistaking an innocent person as a criminal is just dangerous.. human lives aren’t disposable because they “might be a bad guy”. Why would we want this system in place, when it’s not equal across all boards? There will always be a risk of an innocent life being taken away.

Idk. Ultimately I think there’s so many other ways to get justice (for the people that DID actually commit those crimes). DP just gives them an easy out. They won’t truly face and sit with what they did. Death doesn’t scare some people. It doesn’t truly teach them. They need to spend the rest of their lives behind bars stating at the same 4 walls everyday, doing the same routine, and constantly living with the thought of “what if someone in here finds out what I did out there”. I’m sure that if a man who murdered 10 women was sent to prison, there is 100000% chance that several inmates in there with them have wives, daughters, and nothing else to lose. There’s no way they’re gonna make life comfortable for that man. I’d rather them live in constant paranoia, than be put to rest. That’s why I say that DP is so irrational.. we’re so quick to jump the gun. But there are much better methods to condemn someone.

Just my two cents! Thoughts?

Taylor swift is overhyped

Don’t get me wrong, she is a kind being and she does have talent - however, I just feel like she’s overly hyped.

I can easilyyyy name 5 other artists who blow her out of the water as far as presence and vocals.

Rachel Ziegler
Sabrina carpenter (yea I said it)
Chloe and Halle
Zara Larson
Miley cyrus

Yea sure some of the girls aren’t currently singing now, but even in their PRIME, they weren’t as big as Taylor is now. My point is that they should have been. All of those girls can BELCH and they’re actually fun to watch on stage. If Taylor is what’s #1 then I feel like we have truly lost the plot.

Again, Taylor absolutely has vocals, but I just think if she’s considered the gold standard, then the gold standard should no longer be the gold standard.

Hot take. I’m glad Kat’s gone.

I hated Kat’s character. Genuinely. I just felt like her storyline was already boring and same just used Barbie to embarrass her.. the concept of Kat was just soooo stereotypical..

Like, THE Barbie Ferreira… I’m so glad she’s gone. She deserves more. She was above that show just like many other cast mates

(SLIGHT SPOILERS!) Sam’s end game

I genuinely believe that same is getting his last laugh with this final season. He knew that nobody important would come back so his only leverage is to go out swinging - aka humiliating the entire main cast.

Rue swallowing lubed balloons?
Cassie’s 10 minute solo?
Maddie living in a basement and cleaning dog shit?
JULES DRAWING PEEPEES??

TBH I just feel like this season is overly sexualized, yet extremely underwhelming in terms of depth.
