Decent coin-operated car washes in Arlington?
Looking for a car wash that is DIY and has a foam gun. Anyone seen one of those in Arlington or surrounding area?

Seems like it’s creeping down from the $1999.
Curious what everyone thinks the floor is.
Not much a fast food person but sometimes i get a craving. I’ve been to mcdonald’s in north arlington on collins a few times and it’s always wrong order, half condiments etc.
Does anyone know where I can find a reliable mcdonald’s in arlington?
I want a P-10F in something other than plain black. OD Green is available for an extra $75 ish. Green frame and black slide.
But my local Cerakote guy is about same price, $75-100 to do a slide.
So the price is about equal.
I think doing the slide custom will be unique/fun but I think the factory finish will be more durable. Does anyone have any guidance?
X5 Legion. Noob here. Had it for a few years. Realized why my grouping is the worst with this gun. The rear sight is moving around. Any idea? I don’t think it’s the 2 screws inside the slide because that part seems solid?
Initially planned to build it in place but when all the guides online said build in the garage then bring it in, I listened. Turns out, I should have built it in place. 35” cabinet for a 36” cubby didn’t account for the fact it has to turn the corner to get there. That’s enough of this for today, I’ll revisit in a few days.
Maybe you can critique mine. Still kind of new. I go there, get my lane, take a shot, analyze for 3-10 seconds, adjust, repeat for the mag. Then change mags or guns and repeat on another target. Do this for 1-2 hours then leave.
When I look over at other lanes, it’s kind of chaotic. People come in, dump a few mags, leave. Others barely hit paper. People are getting yelled at by the range supervisor etc.
I have the mindset I’m new because i’ve been to the range less than 50 times so I try to observe others but I can’t make sense of it.
I’ve been searching and can’t find it in stock anywhere but I can find the threaded barrel sold separately. Is that the direction the Echelon is going? I also can’t find this model in the SKU list on the Springfield website.
Shopper here.
I tried a PDP Pro-X and the compensator caused a jam on more than 6 rounds in a row. The guy working the rentals said it’s probably because the ammo is 115 grain.
Has anyone here shot cheap 115 range ammo with Echelon Competition and how did it perform?
I tried a few M&Ps today and was pretty happy with them. However the competitor model had a mag release button that stuck out more than the M2.0 metal.
I’m left handed so it was jabbing into my finger. I know it’s reversible but I rather a gun that’s comfortable to hold both ways.
Does anyone know which variants have the mag release button that sticks out beyond the competitor?
Anyone buy ammo from Academy. What has your experience been?
I wonder if anyone prefers iron sights when they need their gun to work 10 out of 10 times.
I’ve been thinking:
- range pistol: red dot
- home pistol: flash light
Shooting 22 LR and factory Romeo optic that came with P322.
it seems used guns are usually 50% off so i have been buying used for my first few guns. but now i’m looking at a colt python. the used ones seem to be more than new. there’s only a few ever under the price of new.
should i shop new?
Beginner here. Tried about 15 guns recently. Been going to the range every night for a week.
Getting down to the ones that work well for me and honestly the 509 checks all the boxes.
Third time shooting the 509 tonight. Everything is perfect when handling it except the trigger.
I don’t have a budget. Just maybe not $3000 but anything reasonable is fine.
First photo is 7 yards. Second is 5 yards. All 10 rounds except the P226 I had beginner issues and only shot 7.
7 yards. 10 rounds per gun. Left handed.
Lots good to say about the 509. I think the range guy said it was the “mid sized” option.
