Just starting out

My first pick ups. I've had a few in the past and enjoyed it socially. I'll probably have one or two a months and hit up a cigar bar with friends every now and then. Excited to jump in.

Any other El Ateo fans?

Love their range of stuff. It can get pricey, but I'm able to get free bottles pretty often so I try to grab one or two when I can. They make a great Anejo. Have not have the Still Strength yet so am excited to pop that one open too and hoping to try the Extra Anejo in a few months.

Anyone have other recommendations for similar profiles? I've tried a decent range of Tequilas so far, but still a lot I haven't tried so would def welcome thoughts.

I grew up in Wisconsin and Korbel is everywhere (I think Wisconsin consumes around 70% of Korbel brandy in the US even though its a California company). I drank Korbel and cheap Weinbrand when I was living in Germany and Austria until about a year ago when I went into the Spirits and Wine industry full-time. I also recently purchased some properties in France in the region where Cognac is produced. Since then, I have been getting more into higher-quality brandies, especially Cognacs, as well as Armagnac, Calvados, and other French Brandies.

Anyone have any suggestions or go-to recipes for good Brandy-based cocktails and any other tips?

One thing I have noticed that is quite unique to British culture is the common consumption and discussion of tea. I feel as though it's portrayed more as something associated with high culture or older people. Do younger Brits also tend to consume tea regularly or has it become more of a historical thing that is much more consumed by older people and the wealthy?
