I started learning Investment Banking a while back, and I just came back to it today. I'm aware that I don't know a lot, but I just realized that when I was preparing for finance roles, I thought about why people always memorize technical questions. I mean it's a great thing to know about the basics (Accounting, Financing, Financial Statements Etc.), but I think it's more important to know that some recruiters tend to like a person much more when they can answer confidently under pressure. think of it as a recruiter wanting a person that is street smart compared to a person that follows a book. Why? because street smart persons tend to be more confident and can talk their way out of a situation whenever they are under pressure. Unlike some bookworms that tend to crack under pressure whenever something is mentioned that does not appear in a book. Long story short, what I learned during my time preparing for financing roles is to:
- practice explaining technical terms confidently by breaking them down into smaller, simpler steps
- Stay updated on recent market trends and news
- Always have a clear story of why you are interested in the role
- and the most important... Mock interviews
welp, I hope I can be some help to someone hahahha

Okay so I've been diving deep into SearchAPIs and I've been trying to determine what the best one is for a small project that I've been working on. It turns out every search API is different from one another lol. So I tried learning about different types like Exa, Tavily, Serper, and Firecrawl, and it turns out that each one of them has its own strengths. Some are great for looking up web results while others are great for extracting and organizing page content. So, I came to the conclusion that there is no such thing as the best SearchAPI, it just depends on how and where you're going to be using it.
Do you guys agree or disagree?
feel free to let me know what type of SearchAPIs you guys use and why
Thankss
Hi everyone!
I'm a Registered Mechanical Engineer from the Philippines currently looking for a part-time work-from-home opportunity to earn extra income.
I'm open to roles such as:
I'm detail-oriented, a fast learner, and comfortable following clear instructions. While I'm new to freelancing, I'm committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work and communicating professionally.
I'm available for both short-term projects and ongoing part-time work.
If you're looking for someone reliable to help with your business or personal tasks, feel free to send me a message. I'd be happy to discuss your project.
Thank you!
Im deciding whether I should apply to it or not. If the experience in those 3 years is worth it, i think its worth a shot, I want to know if there is work-life balance in that company and if the room for growth is great.
