Chemicals

I’ve heard of people using Yeast in their Septic Tank (flushed in via toilet) anyone doing that? I make a lot of sourdough bread, and there’s much discard in maintaining the starter. Since it’s live cultures, I’m wondering if I should flush my discards?

Blu

He’s our oldest Aussie at 2.5 years, he’s way too smart, and a total jerk. But we love him anyway

New Pup

The breeder says we should wait until she’s 10 weeks old, which now puts us at the last weekend in September. We are looking forward to getting her. Her brothers….not so much

WinCo Tri Tip

First time I’ve seen it below $7 per pound this year. Granted, I trimmed off a half pound, making my per pound cost $7.76, but it’s gonna be good tomorrow (dry brining over night) And yes, I’ll cut that gland out, just noticed it

Wrapping up Season One

Just happened upon Fringe by chance and I put it up there with Falling Skies, The 100, Manifest and the one that started it all; The X files. Also comparable: The Following, The Shield, Person of Interest, Blacklist and last but not least “V” (from 1983)

All those like Fringe are likable stories, some better than others, but certainly likable. I don’t nitpick the shows, I just watch them for what they are, after all, it’s just science fiction/fantasy.

She comes home in two weeks

This will be our 3rd Mini in as many years, our first (and only) female. She (like her brothers) will be fixed at about a year old

Going for my second time

I’ve been YouTubing “Autolyse” and “Bulk Fermentation” and I’m feeling pretty good about my 2nd try tomorrow. I just fed my starters, they basically double in size between 5 and 7 hours. The plan is to start the Autolyse early tomorrow morning. Does anyone see any concerns with my starters? Out of the 3, does one stand out from the others?

Thanks in advance
