I have been having so much fun exploring my creativity and expanding my brand. Haven’t had many sales on the site but my family and friends are really supportive of me. Still growing and learning as well. Just recently started paying for Etsy ads and I’m adding this to my shop more often.
Southsider here (I also drew the kitty paws using procreate!) I love crocheting and I’ve been doing it for around 7+ years now. It took me until this year to start fully complete projects. My patience and understanding of crocheting and with myself has grown tremendously. Learning crochet is like learning a new language. I made this hat using 8 granny squares! Show me your projects below!
Hi everyone! New to this group. Anyone ever made one of these?
My first time making a hat like this. Followed a pattern but also freestyled some things. Clap for meeeee
I’m making some dishes for someone who can’t do salt due to high blood pressure. I want to make the food flavorful but I’m having a hard time gauging because my palette is used to the salt. If you have any advice tips or tricks that would be really helpful.
My uncle is blind and expresses how he now experiences his other senses more intensely. So I want this to be a great way for us to connect over some good food.
Nkrabea by me
I’m going to try posting this again more intentionally this time.
I submitted this work for a competition. The theme is: Embracing our Differences
This struck me because my personal belief is that all people come from the womb and labor of black women.
The Black Woman holds Eden, an unspoiled paradise within. But never without others hanging on and observing. Heavily demonized but always desired. That’s my first true acknowledgement before anything else.
Our energy is so powerful that they think we don’t feel pain to this day. Shout out to medical racism….
I wanted this to be a nod to my people without being a bell. The Koroba hairstyle specifically did that beautifully. A nod to my own ancestors.
I named the piece Nkrabea, would purpose essentially, as I’ve been studying the west African Adinkra symbols.
I’ve been working towards expressing how I feel in my art. Join in the convo if you’d like.
**This is digital art by the way. Made using Procreate.

Alright that felt nice. I’ve been working towards expressing how I feel in my art. Join in the convo if you’d like.
My first time! It was fun. There are something things I took liberties on that I’ll do differently next time but I love the colors and I think it came out so nice. I have finally mastered corners and granny squares. It has taken me like 7 years 🤣
One of my favorite sassy baby hippos. Long live Moo Deng! Made some cute art of her.
I just didn’t come back after the Christmas break. Working in education for 10 years made me sick. The demands, the corruption honey, the stress. At one point I was literally throwing up at work and at home every single day. I had to start taking antidepressants and anxiety meds (which I’m grateful for either way cause it’s saved my life.)
Since December I have had to trust god and bet on myself. I craft and make art everyday now. I signed back up for school in 2 months. Please wish me luck. WE are the center of the universe fuck watchaheeeerd.
This is just a reminder to you that YOU control the narrative. There are other jobs, other friends, other communities that you can choose to be apart of.
**Thank you for the support everyone it means a lot to me 🥺
I’m working on some more too. Long live Moo Deeeeng! My first AEOCs I’m working on some more too.
Pencils, Alcohol Marker, gel pens.
Drew up my first ACEOs. This was alot of fun to do. 2.5x3.5
Had alot of fun with this one. Alcohol markers, gel pens, metallic pens. The metallic feel is hard to translate. But still happy
