My iOS game reached 420 downloads

I wasn't 100% focused when I built it for some reason but good to know people are enjoying it, probably at 420-2.

[iOS] Lost & Found - Collaborative Community Search [Free, No Ads, No Tracking, No Subscriptions, No Limits]

Hi, I've created Lost & Found as a privacy first search party organizer.

Long story short, through volunteering I've received many calls of lost elderly people (and lost kids of irresponsible parents...).

I decided that managing these searches through WhatsApp groups isn't enough so I created a Lost & Found Command Center where anyone in the community can set up an SOS for lost dementia patients/lost kids/pets/items, and the neighbors pick up the SOS and the scanned area is shared between them all. Then you can just drop a clue/phone number only for the creator to see and then finalize the search.

So far, my neighbors have used it and liked it, so version 1.1 is out now, and I decided to make the app available globally (one more neighborhood in the U.S. are currently starting to use it too).

Lost & Found for iOS

IAP includes tip based support only - No rewards - The app is entirely open for everyone.
Kindly note that App Store Connect is COMPLETELY broken today so rollout to countries may be delayed.

After releasing 21 iOS Apps (holy cow....) - I've finally got the first $

So, I've been building apps for a while now...

Most of them are free and educational apps that I built for family and friends (Math, Language, Geography, History...).

But the one that got the first 4.99$ I ever made was Dinopedia about Prehistoric creatures.

The only reason I added a 4.99$ In App Purchase was so that my nephew would understand the cost of living and that instead of paying the 4.99$ he can just log in every day and unlock one of the creatures.

Happy to say someone thought it's worth it and wanted to unlock all of them.

I hope that person would contact me through the app store contact details and request any feature or upgrade and I'm so grateful I'll be investing my time in fulfilling it. Anyway, now I'm motivated to keep working on it regardless of IAP, as it might have just made someone happy.

Thanks 😄

"Same" App, Same Audience (Country, Age, Interests...) - Most significant difference: iOS/Android

I've published many free applications, mostly about educational stuff with non-mandatory reward ads (support the dev kind of ads).

I fail to understand why in the case of the first 2 apps, the Android one is significantly better with extremely higher results than the iOS one.

Supposedly, the iOS one should have better performance as the iOS users as an ad-audience are more inclined to make purchases/click banners, right?

Any tips on how to analyze it and align the results to make the iOS one better? Generally, would you recommend using the same banner ads for similar apps in iOS and Android as a single source in admob?

p.s. I've checked every filter in the admob report to try and find out what makes it so different but nothing clearly indicated the reason.

[Free / iOS] Slice It! (V2 Update) - We fixed the confusing levels by adding explicit visual goals! Play instantly with our App Clip.

Game Title: Slice it

Platform: iOS/MacOS

Description:
We upgraded our free puzzle game for iOS (no ads and purely offline play). For this second version, we relaxed the time limits to make it less stressful and a lot more fun. Also added visual indicators to make the level goals perfectly clear, which you can see in the attached video.

And Most Proudly added feature - The Share Button!
Sounds silly but the share button actually shares an image with the slices you made in order to complete the level! So, if your friend is stuck or saying it's an impossible level, just share the proof :)

You can try it right now without installing the full app using the App Clip link below!

App Clip:
https://appclip.apple.com/id?p=io.github.galitach.SliceItPerfect.Clip

Playable Link:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slice-it-cut-puzzle-logic/id6770234304

Free to Play Status:

  • [X] Free to play
  • [ ] Demo/Key available
  • [ ] Paid (Allowed only on Tuesdays with [TT] in the title)

Involvement: Dev (along with a PM partner)

[iOS - M Chip] ‎Slice It: Cut Puzzle Logic - for those who miss Volfied & Xonix - AppClip available!

Hi all, I know this type of game is not sought after as it's not too shiny with crazy confetti and sounds, but we enjoy it.

We've added AppClip for the first time and want to know what you think about it:
https://appclip.apple.com/id?p=io.github.galitach.SliceItPerfect.Clip
We know it can deteriorate the number of downloads as you can just pin it and play it directly on apple's website. It is free anyway without ads (you can buy the cosmetics pack for supporting the dev but it's not required as we have also added color blindness support for different colors pallets.

"App crashed after the initial launch. Apps that crash negatively impact users." - what the....

Hi all,
I've tried to push an update for my game but "App crashed" claim rushing to ruin the day.

Since I've thoroughly tested the app on several devices, both upgrade and fresh installs, release and debug mode, and testflight, I believe the issue is with Apple's test environment.

I've already had some false positives but has anyone encountered such a critical one?

Submitted an appeal requesting an approval or at least a stack trace/screen recording as they've attached nothing useful to the rejection.

Update: Appeal approved. Update is live.

Where do you draw the line for Hishtadlut in day-to-day life?

We have to balance Hishtadlut with Trust. Where is the line?

Take an example like crossing a one-way street. You could:

  1. Look to the left and cross.
  2. Look both ways and cross.
  3. Walk an extra minute down the block to find a crosswalk.
  4. Walk an extra 5 minutes down the block to find a crosswalk.
  5. Wait at the crosswalk until every single car comes to a dead stop.

Leaving aside heavier topics that have moral aspects as well, how do you measure this for basic, everyday stuff?

How do you know when you've done your required share of effort and it's time to just let go and trust?

Of course, my main concern is not about crossing the street, it's about "fighting windmills" for justice... But that's an exponentially longer discussion.

AppClips and their Value.

As I continue discovering Apple's features, I've implemented the AppClip for my latest game:

https://appclip.apple.com/id?p=io.github.galitach.SliceItPerfect.Clip

  1. I'd appreciate getting confirmations from you if it works well (i.e. the game loads and you can play it without installing the game).

1.1 If you like it, feel free to download and let me know if you'd like a promo for the Cosmetics pack (just making the background nicer IMO)

  1. Your opinion on AppClips and if it's worth the effort, when, and why?

  2. Are AppClip supported on Mac as well? Is it only on Mac Catalyst release?

I feel like an appclip could possibly cause LESS installs due to it being the game and quick access to it (just without progress saving which might be ok for nostalgy old players like myself)

Cheerio.

[Dev] iOS - Slice It Perfect - Fully Offline, Color-blind Accessible, Ad-free! Includes Nostalgic Feelings & "Cosmetics" Promos Inside

Description: Slice it Perfect is a Xonix-type of game. Fully offline, ~10MB, fun (and extremely annoying sometimes).

Your mission: Slice it Perfect according to the level's requirements:

  • Slice the polygon to 50%/50%
  • Slice it to 3 equal parts
  • Slice it to 4 with a single moving node in each part
  • Slice Xonix-style, capture all nodes in the smallest area possible (Boss levels)
  • And more surprises.

It starts easy but be careful it can get incredibly annoying (no devices were harmed... kinda... during the QA phase)

Hey everyone, to show the actual game, I recorded a 2-minute iPad footage of Covenant Cards CCG (Deckbuilder). From the desktop to the game menus and to finishing the first level.

My checklist:

  • Epic historical timeline campaigns
  • 120+ PvE story levels
  • Ranked PvP and Draft modes
  • Local LAN friend duels
  • Zero ads
  • No energy timers

Even though it's version 5.0 already, we're working on improvements following a test group of non ccg fans and real ccg fans.

For example, in this version we've updated the soundtracks and added the ability scanner in game to see the skills of the placed and held cards more easily.

As the title suggests.
The game is ‎Covenant Cards: Strategy CCG App - App Store

Requirements:

  • Familiarized with iOS architecture and code
  • Must have android dev expertise - note: all code and architecture will be reviewed, and it is expected to be a senior level project.

You will be provided with all of the required assets, videos, effects, images, etc.

Bonuses:

If you can build the app entirely without access to the iOS code and the assets (i.e. use place holders) the pay can be *much* higher. For those who require access to the existing project, you will have to sign a lengthier contract of course.

Kindly watch the app store as it has a video showing the gameplay and comment if you are capable and interested. In turn, I will send a set of questions, review the proposals and let you know in a couple of days if its relevant

P.S. Optional RevShare agreements with reduced pay are optional as well.
