What’s the longest you’ve gone without a wink of sleep? What happened?🤔

Unfortunately I can’t speak I’ve only ever gone 38hrs and this was due to a rough day of travel +overnight plane journey. As soon as I got to bed I slept for 13hrs after this.

I’m usually a 6-7hr sleeper and rarely wake during the night. I can fall asleep within mins.

Wish everyone here was the same as me my friend has insomnia and apparently it’s horrific for mood etc and he goes days without a wink of sleep. Sometimes 3 days then next night only a few hours, imagine having to work or have responsibilities on top of this?

How do you function?

Heaven and Hell what do you think both are like? 🤔

Heaven:

Do you think we’d be the same person as we died or younger?

Is it an endless section where we can speak to the ENTIRE family tree? No sleep food, etc., needed but can still enjoy it?

Does family in heaven know about you on earth and what’s currently happening? Does God tell them?

Is there free will?

Hell:
I don’t think it’s endless physical torture, I think going eternity knowing you’re separated from your family and God is enough…

End of the day spending time next to Jesus forever is above all things 😊 What are your thoughts? I know we don’t know but still!

21M. Is it normal to have this much light sleep a night? I feel rested after just 6.5hrs?

Occasional wakes 4 times last night which is normal for me I went for a pee early hours.

Got some Pro 3’s. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the pair?

Battery in my pro 2’s was pants so treated myself to new pods proudly prowling the airport duty free to find them 😭

ANC made me feel sick at first it was definitely different.

Sound is a slight improvement and noticeable if you’re playing music on the daily you do notice the difference.

Heart rate is a good edition but all I have to do is glance my apple watch during workout so unsure what the benefit really is here?

Biggest thing for me was the fittage. You could swing me like a cat and they won’t fall out, they are a good fit compared to the old ones that fell out. And don’t get me started on the OG AirPods I had.

Downside is I miss the colour of my old pods (had them sprayed electric blue and sad white it is now lol)

Overall they are solid. 7/10 for me.

I’m non denominational. I just don’t know what to follow… 😔

I wasn’t raised Christian but was always curious (ironically my love for Christ stemmed from my scientific curiosity, the more science I was invested in, the more praise I developed. God created everything and I felt like I needed to show love for the one that cares most etc).

Joined military and somewhat properly pursued it during. Go to our multi Church on base But due to work can’t go and get Baptised and off abroad for nearly a year so I CANT be Catholic or Orthodox in any way.

Protestantism is the easiest but I do disagree on the fact of repetitive praying being bad (I do it all the time), praying to saints which I find absolutely fine, especially Mary (I have a big soft spot for her as the mother of Christ, I can only feel how much she went through especially during crucifixion of her own son but don’t want to make this discussion upsetting).

I wear my Saint Christopher etc whenever I go overseas. I think about Mary when I think about my own mother etc. I don’t know much about the Pope or think that a human has more ‘authority’ to teach the word of God but this could be that I don’t know enough admittedly.

I appreciate anyone taking time to read this God bless you all 🙏 😊

Should I have done this or would you have left it?

Roundabout in town there was part of a bumper and a side mirror in the middle of it. Cars were just driving around it or over it (yes I saw a car actually drive over the bumper 🤣)

It was a quiet roundabout at the time so I went round stopped in the roundabout with hazards on and removed the stuff.

Technically I was blocking roundabout so one car had to wait behind me while I remove this stuff.

What’s one car that surprised you with its drivability? 🤔

Mine is the VW Up!.

Handling specifically is incredible for the type of car it’s grips well in corners at speed.

Obv as FWD it’ll soon understeer if you go too mental but it’s very forgiving and doesn’t handle like the car size it is thats for sure, handles just the same as a golf I drove not long ago.

It just doesn’t look like it drives that way! It looks like it’ll topple over.

Is it ok for me as a Christian to enjoy heavy metal?

My current favourite bands are Slipknot etc and yes lyrics can be very dark and rough but it doesn’t affect my view and sole love for Christ.

I tend not to reflect on lyrics or agree with them. I’m a guitarist so enjoy the instrumental sides more. But also as I love God more than anything, I don’t want to be blasting anything disrespectful.

I played Ghost’s ‘Mary on a cross’ the other day and loved the sound of the song but after felt deep regret that I feels wrong..

I don’t know. God bless you all regardless 🙏

Joseph deserves more love…

Raising Jesus as a father figure should still be commended. Although Mary is his biological mother, Joseph still played the role of the father and upbringing of our saviour.

People focus on Mary so much and don’t get me wrong the mother of God deserves all praise she did so much and is so caring and loving but I can’t help but think that Joseph deserves an element of praise as well, playing the role of Jesus’ father on earth.

New drivers: Don’t buy a flashy car… it’ll bite you on the arse!

I considered getting something very flashy because I could afford it due to saving a lot prior. Dad said a hard no and explained it’s better to get something cheap and reliable for first car.

My first car I bought at 5k (which still is somewhat top end for first car imo) I still own it today and don’t ever want to get rid of it. £20 road tax a year, insurance is peanuts, 🥜 and most importantly, Milage is 60mpg average.

If I want to have fun etc I usually go out to the track and can drive their super cars as a treat without the worry of as an inexperienced driver, bottling a 50k car into a tree etc and endangering others.

A mate of mine did the opposite; he bought a brand-new, flashy car because he could afford it and wanted to show off his ‘skill’ buy purchasing such a nice car. Insurance for his first year was 4x mine. A year later, mate still hasn’t payed even half the car off for that bit of ‘fun’ behind the wheel. And said to me today it’s the biggest mistake he made…

A fellow Redditor told me to try this… Any good? 🤔

Im just starting to properly like Cider. Experience was tainted as I had a standard thatchers when xi was younger and it gave me horrid heartburn.

Thatchers vintage was top tier. A person recommended this one in Tesco and I’m excited.

Shoutout to you my man! If you see this post! 😊

Thoughts on Stone Sour as SK fans? 🤔

I think they were phenomenal. It’s the style I love for everyday listening.

Hydrograd is some of the grooviest stuff ever. And I can’t imagine what everyone thought when the OG album came out in 2002 🤣

What’s the best and worst Cider you’ve had? 🤔

Now I’m not heavily into cider as most give me bad heartburn (sounding like a 50 y/o at 21 🤣).

This is the one for me, it’s incredibly refreshing and light. Dangerously good given its ABV, smooth finish and not heavily tangy or bitter apple flavour. Everything felt well balanced.

The worst is some cheap supermarket’s own. I’m in England so Tesco cider was the pick here. Tasted like ass. An ass with diced apples rammed up it.
