Now I don’t mean fun as a joyful, yay I’m so giddy type thing but does it get repetitive and boring?
Last year in Japan, my mom got some type of temporary cosmetic surgery, which really interested me that I sort of researching on it and I wanted to be a derm pa so I could eventually switch to aesthetics, but I wasn’t sure if that was a very good option.
I would prefer preferably like the practices done in East Asia to research about during college or even my career or just have a stable job to go in my free time and observe.
I know PA school is very hard and that’s what I’m most cautious about because I’m already having a B in chemistry as a sophomore which sucks cause if I’m going into healthcare, I feel like I should do better.
Is the job itself alright? Is the job growth gonna go up? I have a lot of questions lol

Hello! I’ve recently been doing some research on certain careers, and ive only researched well known ones so I’m not sure if there is anything else that might interest me which is why I came here.
-flexible schedule
-6 figures (long term, not base pay)
-like beauty and self care (nutrition, skincare, etc)
-love traveling
-less than 6 years of uni
-interested in EastAsian practices on skin, beauty
-enjoy organize, research

I researched jobs such as Derm PA but further into my research, the sheer amount of stress in PA school (supposedly) and the amount of patients you interact with may overwhelm me (maybe?) so I shouldn’t be too sure abt it. Maybe I’m just picky lol.
For school, I really enjoy AP stats. I have an A in all subjects (except for chem🥹). I like English too and pre calculus is alright. Don’t like social studies that much. I’m taking med term but the memorization is doable.

I initially wanted to be a derm PA or somewhere along that path since I was heavily interested in derm/aesthetics, but was researching more abt the job since you shouldn’t generalize what people do and make it all “pretty”.
A lot of people recommended brah you have a true passion for treating patients and etc, but I honestly have more of an interest with the procedures or studies of it. The flexibility and money was very appealing to me, but I’m not sure if those reasons alone can get me thru a tough program such as a PA school.

-I like traveling, flexibility
-I like organizing and sorting
-I like skin/beauty related activities
-I do want a good salary
-researching such techniques or chemicals in Korea or Japan would be nice (or js going there in general since my family lives there)
-I enjoy AP statistics a lot (don’t know if that helps lol..I like it way more than precal or chem)

I was going out to eat with my friends and the restaurant was pretty crowded, so the service was average. Anywho, a 20% tip would’ve landed us +20 ish dollars and we felt like we didn’t want to pay it, so my friend just put 0% as the tip😭
I thought that was a little bad, but we all disagree with the idea of tipping. Why is it socially required to in America?
Anyway I was wondering if the waitress wanted to kill us or whatever.

So I’m aiming sophomore in HS interested in becoming a derm PA or NP, and after comparing the two I believe NP might be better.
BUT- unfortunately I might be ending my first 9 weeks with a B in a subject, and Ik it might not seem that big a deal but I was wondering how competitive or how much BSN mattered. I would like to go somewhere in the east cost ish, but I’m okay with just going there for my NP graduate program.
My school is pretty competitive and I’m trying to take everything I can to make college easier but there’s certain classes I don’t really want to take lol (AP calc BC..I loved stats tho.)

Also, any college reccs would be great!

for the PA vs NP, I don’t think I’m too suited for the rigorous Pa environment, and I’m looking for 100k+ salary (hopefully), flexible-ish hours and maybe the ability to switch specialties. (derm-aesthetics).

Idk if this is a hot take since I’ve seen ppl agreeing online, but everyone is so sensitive nowadays.

Basically anything like Down syndrome, blindness, deafness, severe genetic illness, etc.
I think our society would improve if we decreased the amount of babies being born with such traits because 1. It makes it hard for the parents, 2. It makes it hard for the kid. The financial costs the parents are required to pay would be higher than the average child, and especially if the parents have low income and can’t provide for their kid, that’s unfair to the kid only cuz the parents were being selfish.

I’ve read some news the Japan apparently found a way to get rid of the chromosome or smth causing down syndrome, and that seems fantastic! I would love for that to spread around the world. (Not that people currently having Down syndrome should be erased or whatever, I js support having less of babies having that genetic makeup in the future).

Edit: I’ve read comments, seen more posts and although I think my take was a little extreme and really badly said, I don’t see why we shouldn’t promote stability and quality of life for kids and the future generation. I stand by my opinion still🙈
will not edit OG post but I will say I don’t support government enforcement, eradication, etc. Bad parents/environment is the main reason I believe that this route should be used for certain situations.

This is some rando girl complaining about it, but I wanted to know more opinions since this is the first negative review I’ve seen of the anime. (Which I personally love)

This might sound really stupid but during tests or exams, classrooms are really silent. Do they escort you to a private room, or do you stay in your normal class? What about public silent spaces, do you feel awkward being there?
I’m going back to school soon and was getting more curious about this syndrome since I’ve never met anyone with Tourette’s before, and classrooms are always dead silent for me lol.

Since I’ve seen so many freshman posts, here’s my top advice:

-Take all the hard classes. Me personally I took AP lunch and AP PE where we had to write an essay abt nutrition and running the mile.
-Bark at all the upperclassmen. This prompts them to take you in and you’ll get all the advice from them.
-Growl at teachers who yell at you. This isn’t middle school anymore, you have to assert your dominance and stand up for yourself when they accuse you of using AI, talking during class, etc.
-Eat eggs and onions during the tests. Everyone brings a little snack but this is my recommendation.

So my school is pretty big w around 4000 ppl, so 1000 ppl per grade. I’ve pretty much given up on being near the top 10% lol. My unweighted is a 3.9 (aiming for a 4.0 this year) and it’s not like I want to get into ivys but I would like to get into a good school. I’m not completely sure what I went to do, but I’m leaning towards derm PA.

I was wondering what extracurriculars I should do, since the ones i already have are pretty basic. Violin, (I got into region every year but havent tried all state yet, I might this year) tutoring kids, DECA, planning to join HOSA, volunteer weekly, etc.
idk what else to do for academic extracurriculars besides writing articles or joining programs, since I’m not super into competitions. I like art so I was thinking of making an animation channel w information of real life news or events but that might just be lame lol. Idk what else to do! 😖

So basically me and this guy had a talking stage where he confessed to me (it was kinda sudden so I told him we should just talk even tho I liked him back) and it was going well until he lowkey ghosted me and I didn’t know why until he told me he didn’t rlly like me and it was kinda in the moment thing. I was shocked but kinda glad since I wasn’t ready to date but wanted to stay friends (tho it was incredibly awkward when I saw him irl sometimes) and I thought it’d be cool since I wasn’t mad, he accepted it but he unfollowed me on basically everything (no block) and I was the only one following him😭so one sided bro
anyway he has a gf now like 1 month after that whole incident so they’ve been together for like half a year ish? Perhaps he liked her more lol

so my friend for a few years is very nice to me, funny, and I’d say we’re pretty close. but whenever we have conversations abt random things they find a way to make it deeper and it’s not like a necessary hate deep conversations, but she’s so smart and talks like she read every research paper in the world that i feel dumb compared to her. her vocabulary is immaculate too😞
for example we were talking about female celebrities and then it turned to how some companies manipulate their image or how they present themselves in a misogynistic way, and while I understood I didn’t really understand I felt rlly bad since I’m a girl too and I felt like I should know these things. just some examples.
I rlllly love her but I hate sounding stupid to my dearest friends and we have a few classes together next year so I’ll do my best not to sound idiotic.

Hi! I’m 15F and i have 3 shares of APPL currently, and looking to expand more. I was wondering what reccs you guys have, as I’m currently eyeing SKHY but not sure as apparently it’s on the newer side. My parents both participate a lot but my mom isn’t familiar with SKHY, so I read some articles and thought it was worth a try. I have a few thousand in my bank account so I can afford more than a few shares for the cheaper options.

I’m soo soo glad I’m class of 29 cuz TX just passed a mandated Bible reading list starting 30-31’. They’re also teaching less of racial and ethnic problems you’d learn in 6th grade (world cultures) so that’s also a problem. I’m also an atheist, so I’d genuinely rather die than have required Bible readings without the inclusion of other religions. And some of my friends are Hindu and Buddhist!! How disrespectful towards them..this is why TX is in the 40s in education smh.
