My quick thoughts on The House That Jack Built

Recently watched it, and it was so fucking bizarre. I can totally see why most will call it one of the most shocking and terrifying movies ever. The story was so messed up, but the filmmaking was really creative. Not much else to say.

When did you first start watching?

I first got into the show in 2019 when I heard that S3 was coming out that summer. I would find time to binge the first two seasons so I'd be all caught up.

The disappointing end of my first relationship

Originally posted on autism subreddit on May 19, 2025

Disclaimer: This story is not meant to serve as a personal attack to any of the parties involved.

As someone with a spectrum diagnosis from the age of two, socializing with others was really difficult for me, and women are no exception. I tried to find love in middle and high school to no avail, sometimes pushing things too far without meaning too, but that's another story.

In the late summer/early fall of 2022, after I had finished high school, I enrolled in college. I found myself connecting with many people, and made fast friends with them, even with some fellow autistic peeps. However, the biggest connection I would make was with a girl who was very special to me at the time. Her name is Paige, and she's a decent person most of the time and a talented painter. We first met on the way home from a shopping shuttle, and she was surprised that I managed to eat an entire box of Tic-Tacs. We struck up a conversation then, and later, we met in the girl's lounge of my building, where we talked about random stuff. At one point, she asked if I liked her, and I said maybe. After that, I got to thinking, and I suddenly realized that I may have finally found that special someone. Eventually, I plucked up the courage to invite Paige to my room, where we cuddled, and, albeit nervous at first, shared our first kiss. It was one of the best moments of my life, and I will never forget it. From then on, we made it official, and our relationship blossomed for a couple months.

Paige and I had our ups and downs, but we were very happy together for quite a while. Despite my busy schedule, whereas I had cross country, my commitment to the performing arts, and my special needs program, I always managed to find time for her, from celebrating holidays to giving her a special gift on her birthday. All was going very well, until November came around. At one point, I went out to lunch with Paige to meet her parents, who seemed very nice on the surface. However, Paige came to my room one day afterwards in tears, saying that her parents had gotten upset because they had apparently overreacted to my act of using my fingers to pick up my spaghetti noodles. What they didn't realize is that I was just trying to be playful in recreating that scene from the classic Disney movie Lady and The Tramp, but I guess not everyone has a soft spot for the world of magic like I do.

Things started going downhill after that, and as I got busier, I was losing time to spend with Paige. One time, I tried to walk with her back to my building, but she and her friends kept running away, so I just let them be, thinking that they were just goofing off. However, she texted and called me later to drop the most appalling bomb on me ever: Her parents told her to break up with me because, from what I remember her telling me, they didn't approve of me because of my autism. I was mad at the very idea of not being accepted by her parents, but the good-hearted soul within me knew that I had to let Paige be happy, even if that meant letting her go, which is what I reluctantly did. She says that we can still be friends, and a part of me still believes we are, but we hardly speak anymore, and I've occasionally heard some others' perspectives on her, so I'm not so sure.

I'm a senior now (just finished my junior year), and I haven't had another girlfriend since then (at the time of me writing this [May 19, 2025]). I have had some crushes on other girls, one being a cross-country teammate, and two others being in either the performing arts or other classes of mine. But from time to time, I think back to what I had with Paige, and how it came to an end because of a part of myself I had no control over. I have moved on for the most part, but a small part of me still holds a special place in my heart. I can only hope that, when I find my next love, things will be better.

04/19/2026 Update: I'm still doing great, and I have a new crush now! Her name is Payton, and she is gorgeous. She is very kind, wonderful, quite humorous, and we've been in the talking phase since Valentine's Day. It's awesome!

08/30/2026 Update: We haven't gone much further so far, but my fingers are still crossed.

Am I mid-Gen Z? Just checking.

I was born in 2002, and I know that the Gen Z years are 1997 - 2012. I think that puts me close to the midpoint, but what do you think?

First game?

Ultimate Edition for me. I wasn't allowed to play it at first because I got it while I was still under 17, but I was eventually allowed to play it. My dad and I would play the campaign together. It was a lot of fun.

With my dinner tonight, I'm having pink lemonade in this nostalgic mug

I've had to have had this for at least 10-15+ years. One of my favorite mugs of all time.

Fun fact about dogs and their ears that I learned in college

One day during my junior year, in my choir class, our professor's husky barked a couple times while we were laughing with it, and I noticed his ears going down. It made me wonder if a dog's ears always went down when they barked. When I asked my professor, he said that's what generally happens, but if their ears are poiting up/forward when they bark, that means they're angry.

How accurate would you say this is? It sounds right, but I'm down to hear your thoughts. I've seen plenty of dogs in my life but have yet to own one, and learning more about them (as well as animals in general for that matter) is half the joy.

The most fun thing I like to do with pillows every now and then

Not sure how many of you will relate to this, but one of my favorite things I like to do with pillows every once in a while is stuff them in the back of my pants to pretend my butt was very big. I know it's probably a thing kids would do more, and I myself probably did, but I still find it fun (and a little funny) to do as an adult. One time or another, I even went outside wearing one of my "pillow butts" to see how well I could blend in. It was a thrilling experience because I wondered what people passing by would say/how they'd react if they saw me, but that made it all the more exciting.

Anyone else?

Would you rather eat only your friends' favorite foods for the rest of your life or challenge yourself to an extreme, low-calorie diet for as long possible?

An example of an "extreme" diet would be seeing how long you can last without much eating, or at least just eating very small portions for every meal.

Personally, although I've eaten a lot in my life so far, there's still lots of foods I haven't eaten, so I'd pick the first option and see how much I enjoy my friends' tastes.

My channel was wrongfully terminated, and I'm trying to get it back

Long story short, they thought my content was too inappropriate, and it wasn't. It's been two weeks, but I'm not giving up hope.
