yes, this is stupid but i still dont understand!

(warning stupid comparison beware) for an orbit to be elliptical in rocket science you need to thrust prograde or retrograde in apoapsis or periapsis so that your orbit stretches, i dont think planets can suddenly speed up in one side of their orbits?? well maybe jupiter could affect but a year is like 12 earth years there so it would only happen in some specific times

Ok so i dont have one YET (yes i gave up on the bresser 5” it is NOT coming in stock) i once went to a dark sky site and it was honestly not bad the milkyway was sick it was bortle 4 there were lots of people (although most were just people who saw “go to a dark sky site like (this site)“ on insta to watch the perseid, i saw comets!!)

i live in bortle 7, i think i can still get non polluted photos with stacking etc?

today my dad woke me up really early and i saw that it was 5:50 ish so i immediately set my telescope up but i realiseed the sky was already a bit orange at the horizon so i had to race agains the sun lmao.

I’ve owned my telescope since 2025 or sum and yes this is my first time seeing the cloud bands because i didnt know the 10mm eyepiece makes it dimmer that wouldve helped so much! but uh sadly the giant spot turned it’s back on me so i couldnt see it (and probably never will this year because i can only see it in a 2 hour window) but still those cloud bands are so siick dude!!

but i was also lucky because all the moons were there!! they were all on a line that was so cool i always love seeing other moons!!

I also saw mars (i think? stellarium says its between 2 stars but i couldnt find the other star, but it was next to a star.) it was just a orange dot meh

(I’m thinking of upgrading to a 130mm, and ive seen people see mars like orange and maroon 2 colored, would i be able to see those dark maroon parts? also when it is winter on mars i would love to see the poles with the 130mm if i could)

So i went to the lava area i found from the map and i was exploring the zeolite biome too and i came across a mushroom river, i saw a door there just like in teh supper alloy cave. there was also ice next to it that melts at 200mti, im at 250mti but it’s still not melting!! HELP!! and i explored a bit more and found the key to the door but i still dont understand i saw text from wardens and they were like we left our own planet blabla and these guys look biologically same to us or something

i found a “wreck” in there i tried to jetpack there but i fell and i was back in my base?? (the base i made next to the door, if i didnt put that there i wouldve probably teleported to my main base which would hurt alot) what am i supposed to do? do i need to return back there later?

I think the game without keep inventory is hard, sure if you want a challenge go for it, i personally hate when i lose everything when i die in lava or in the void, and keep inventory just feels too easy. so i have an idea, A subnautica style keep inventory. If you dont know, or have played the game and are confused, (its probably in other games but so far subnautica is the only game ive played that does this, sorry if you know another game like this inventory)

In subnautica, your inventory gets “saved” when you go in your base, and when you die, you respawn in your base with all the items you had when you were last there, and 1 random item you got on your expedition.

while minecraft has no way of knowing how large your base is, there could be a 30 block radius in each direction around your bed(straw beds dont count) that counts as your ”base” and the game checks for your bed‘s location,
for example if theres a wall (3 blocks stacked on top) on the left of your bed, the game actually makes it 60 block radius(not down nor up) instead so those parts arent gone to waste if your bed is next to a wall. i think it could be a sweet spot and doesnt count as a cheat.

What are your opinions on it?

I get that the orbit of the moon is inclined but that must mean the eclipses either never happen or happen once a month? how can it happen randomly?

edit: i meant random as in not in a schedule like it doesnt happen once every X time
