Would Rambo have supported Trump?
I don’t think he would but I could see some thinking he would.

Backrooms' 1st Wednesday, Obsession's 3rd.
Backroom pulls in $6m and Obsession $5m.
What interests me is that Obsession has the higher per-screen average, $1,822, to Backrooms' $1.746. This is the first time in Backrooms' run (after only 6 days) that it grossed less per-screen than Obsession did.
Backrooms might retake that PSA lead this weekend, but its legs are on display. At this rate, Backrooms' domestic should surpass Obsession's this weekend, perhaps on Sunday, but given their legs, Obsession's PSA should retake the lead soon, and then it might retake the domestic lead as well, maybe very shortly after it loses it, like a few days into next week?
With the new batch of films opening up tonight, I feel that'll hurt Backrooms more than Obsession.
Unrelated, but have you heard about reports of some moviegoers being really unruly while watching Backrooms? This thread in the Backrooms sub. It's like some of the audience isn't there for the traditional moviegoing experience but just there to see what's up and figure out what to do with their time when the movie on screen gets boring.
Feels like Backrooms is more of an event film, not to be watched as much as to be attended, less leggy than its main competition.
Of "Nikki" going out with Bear.
From Instagram. This goes into the complexity of his character.
What's noteworthy to me is that despite how low his character gets, it doesn't break the movie. The story is still captivating until the very last shot, even with him as a protagonist.
Unlikely casting but it works. Set in the days leading up to D-Day.
Actor ‘s a few years older than Ike was at the time but I hope Focus Features next does a President Ike biopic, with Fraser next.
Will it? And will Obsession later pass Backrooms bc it has stronger legs?

134th best OW
99th best OW per-screen average of $23,665 just behind The Hangover II and ahead of Fast Five
This next TCM film from A24 will be the tenth TCM.
What are the chances X will be in its title, like Jason X and Saw X?
Too early to put Leatherface in space?
The film obviously ends on a perfect and ambiguous note.
On a question that really shouldn't be answered officially, only among viewers.
They're either:
- both the Thing
- Mac's human, Childs is not
- Childs is human, Mac is not
- both human
I think they're both human bc that's the better story. It's more ironic, more paranoid. Any of the other options are still possible, but I think it makes for a lesser story.

Was pleased to see an Onion newsstand in the lobby of the DTLA Alamo. Now it's a cool theater.
The Sally Hardesty role or whatever final girl it ends up having?
How do you think both films will do at the end of their runs?
Backrooms looks like it'll open huge but significantly drop each week. Obsession might end its run with the higher box office take.
