I wish I never told anyone about my height insecurity

I’m 16f, an height in my family is very uneven. on my dads side, it’s safe to say they’re all pretty short (5’6, tallest 5’9) and on my moms side, height ranges from 5’8-6’8 no joke.

well I got my period at 11 years old and was maybe 5ft when that happened. 5 years later im now stuck at 5’3.

now dont get me wrong-i know that’s a pretty average height for females and isn’t necessarily bad, but in my family (my dads family is across the country so I’m always with my moms side ) i look really small by comparison.

my mom was originally 5’9 (she has a disease affecting her height/weight now tho) and all my uncles are well into the higher six foot somethings. I’m roughy older than 50% of my cousins, but it’s safe to say you would never think that by looking at us. seriously all my cousins have well outgrown me, and my younger cousins I’m close to (12m 5’4, 10f she hasnt surpassed my yet but her parents are both 5’11+ and my sister 11f 5’2 ….i swear I sound stupid comparing myself to literal kids but I’m just bummed asf) are either passed me, or definitely gonna outgrow me.

well of course theres gonna be a shortest cousin, but I just didn’t want it to be me lols. I told my mom/my sister was present when I was talking about this, and it’s became the biggest weapon against me. every time theres an argument a comment about my height is always mentioned (usually with my sister, my mom uses this as an excuse to tell me I don’t take care of myself) and of course all the village grandmas and what not love to point out how I’m small as hell.

im just frustrated with myself and needed to rant. thanks to anyone who read through.

Hot take? The VMAS suck now

Before you flame me:

The VMAs used to actually be fun. You never knew what was gonna happen, performances felt like events, and the whole show was chaotic in the best way.

Now it feels like TikTok artists, nepo babies, and the same few names over and over. Half the performances barely even feel live with all the lip syncing and backing tracks.

I know we’re never getting another Michael Jackson or Britney Spears level VMA moment, but they could still step it up. Instead, Taylor Swift gets treated like the main attraction every year, and the whole thing feels more like a yearly obligation than something people are actually excited to watch.

And let’s be real, MTV hasn’t played music videos in decades. The VMAs are basically just a tradition they refuse to let die.

Anyways just some thought. I don’t even know who really watches them anymore

Ella Langley's Choosin Texas - Why Has This Song Had Absolutely No Drop-Off from the charts?

When it first reached that ranking, I assumed it was mostly because of the “new song” appeal. It was everywhere on social media, getting used in videos, played in stores, on the radio, etc., so I could understand why it would shoot up the charts initially.

But now it’s been sitting up there for a good 22 consecutive weeks and it literally hasn’t budged. At this point, after hearing it for what feels like the 30 millionth time on the radio, I genuinely don’t understand what is keeping it there. You’d think the novelty would have worn off by now, especially with how much it’s been played and how long it’s been out.

I’m not even saying it’s a bad song, because obviously there’s clearly something about it that people like. I just don’t understand how it has managed to maintain that level of popularity for this long without any real drop-off. What am I missing? Is it still genuinely resonating with people that much, or is there something else keeping it so high on the charts?

Do you think Gloria will ever get to Paris?

Hypothetically, when the series end, do you think Gloria will finally get to live in Paris, or will she stay in big city?

The DIY guide to becoming a Michael Jackson fan in 2026!! (Tried and tested)

After months of research, I have came up with a foolproof guide to convincing everyone around you that you have been a Michael fan since birth!! (remember that’s what you gotta tell them when these pre movie larpers ask 🤫

  1. ALWAYS make the same Michael joke over and over again! Everyone will think you’re so FUNNY. examples include: “I love to tour 😂”, “including jermaine!!”, “that’s not me-hee!” “he only has 2bad somg 🤭😂” BONUS POINTS for making joe Jackson jokes, including the abuse Michael endured! It gets sillier each time

  2. Ignore everything from the Jackson 5 era except for abc and I want you back, completely bypass off the wall, and only praise thriller and bad!! Other than his super niche album Chicago that only you know about.

  3. Make sure everyone online knows you’re a fan! This just might be the most important one. Your pfp for all accounts must be that mj pic with his glove covering his eyes! Always spam all comment sections with ai generated pics of Michael with abs. Bonus points if you caption it ”he’s so fineeeee 😘”. also continue to spam videos of Michael fun facts that no one else knows, because he told THOSE TO YOU HIMSELF!

  4. Baby him constantly! No no no, Michael was NOT A 50 YEAR OLD MAN. how could he ever curse?! 😁

  5. remember he liked orange juice! Spam that fact repeatedly and make it his whole personality.

  6. Remember-fans before the movie DID NOT EXIST. if their mj content dates before April 24, ITS A LIE. YOUR NICHE ORIGINAL discovery of Michael is the reason why you can be his only fan! the biopic should always be your source of Michael research.

Thats it! Have fun my moonwalkers!

P.S - always make fun of his mature era and glaze his bad era entirely. Your a diehard mj fan but think he’s scary and guilty!

Post biopic fanbase (mainly online) discussion

Hi everyone!! (Long post, sorry 😭)

I want to start by saying that everyone knows Michael is in no way a niche artist, and I’m not trying to gatekeep him or his music with this post. I actually think it’s great that so many people are discovering his music and appreciating his art, and I’m genuinely happy to see new fans. New or old, everyone is welcome.

That being said, I have noticed a somewhat negative change in certain parts of the online fanbase since the movie came out. I want to emphasize that I’m talking about SOME people, definitely not everyone. With that disclaimer out of the way, here are a few things I’ve noticed:

  1. The over-sexualization of him

Yes, Michael was good-looking. 😭 I don't think there’s anything wrong with acknowledging that. However, some of the ways people have been expressing this lately have gone a little far... I’ve noticed a lot more fanfiction (headcanons), strange captions, edited audio that is made to sound like his voice in inappropriate contexts, etc.

Obviously people are entitled to their own interests, but considering that Michael passed away 17 years ago, its a bit much.

  1. Parasocial behavior

Another thing I’ve noticed is a lot of “Michael would have loved this!” or “Michael definitely wouldn’t have liked this!” Obviously nobody can know exactly what he would or wouldn’t think about something today, and I understand that people say these things affectionately. But when it becomes constant, it can be a little strange. This also seems to go hand-in-hand with people posting random “fun facts” about him that aren't actually verified. I’ve seen quite a few things repeated as fact when they’re really just rumors, fan theories, or things taken from TikTok.

  1. The defensiveness and constant arguing

I’ve also noticed some new fans becoming very defensive whenever Michael is criticized or even when someone simply has a different opinion about him. For example:

Storming pepsis videos with "you think we forgot?" like babes you were not this concerned about a accident 42 years ago before the film. 😭

Getting mad at Eminem about a 20 year old diss

Getting upset with older fans (its happened)

Treating anyone who disagrees with them as if they must hate him

  1. Some of the “lifelong fan” stuff

This one is probably more of a pet peeve than anything serious, but I’ve seen people who discovered Michael through the movie describing themselves as lifelong fans or acting like they've known everything about him forever. Obviously, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a new fan. Everyone was new at some point! You don't need to pretend you've been a fan for 20 years to be taken seriously.

  1. “Babying” Michael

I understand why people feel protective of someone they admire, and Michael obviously went through a lot. But I don't think we need to completely infantilize him or assume he was incapable of being a complicated human being.

Again, I am NOT saying that new fans are bad, nor am I saying that longtime fans are automatically better. There are annoying longtime fans too, and I'm sure I've done things that annoy other people. I just wanted to see if anyone else who has been in the fandom for a while has noticed similar changes since the movie.

Have my messages successfully been deleted from iCloud??

hi everyone. I while back i had messages storing in iCloud, on both my phone and Mac. of course i then because of storage and decided to disable this, and toggled off delete and disable messages in iCloud on both devices. this was a while back, and I am just unsure to whether or not my messages have actually been deleted as that was the goal. the ”recover messages in iCloud“ option is throwing me off a little as I am now left wondering if the deletion didn’t work. thank you.

Ok but GENUINE question - is the larp real?

larper, pose, trend follower whatever you wanna call it 😭.

I have still on TikTok and what not seen back and forths between people who have been mj fans before the movie, and those who started getting into his music after the film.

Its typically been the same thing with older fans calling those who started listening to his music “trend followers“ and talking about their frustrations with the new fan base.

I have been a fan before the movie and I feel like there are definitely people who hopped onto the trend but many can be genuine too.

I didn’t know what subreddit to post this in please dont be mad it’s a honest question thank you.

You can go back in time and prevent 1 event or 1 thing from happening to michael except for the entirety of june 25 2009. What are you choosing?

You can go back in time and prevent 1 event or 1 thing from happening to michael except for the entirety of june 25 2009. What are you choosing?

P.S just because you cant change anything that happened on june 25 2009, you can change something that you believe led to his death.

Why is meg riding the sombr situation so hard

ok like i know this was talked about before but i genuinely cant be the only one who thinks this is just utter stupidity. Like ok, you made a video regarding a bad concert experience. Not being a toxic fanbase means you understand the artist in question isnt perfect and is going to do stuff they probably shouldnt have. But seriously a little shy of a year, why is she still bringing it up? Did she go see another concert? Like the whole "freshy 26" bio, and constant "when i warned other adults not to go to what was the worst concert of my life"... like please move on 😭. Sorry yall just a rant.

A very angry michelle johnson fan 😡

Guys its currently 3am and i am furious. Ever since the michael movie came out starring his son, i have became a dedicated moonewalker. At this point i might as well say it - i am probably more of a fan than those who listened to him before 4 months ago. I mean can you even consider yourself a fan if you have havent added thriller to your Halloween playlist, and forgave jichael for using drakes glove without his permission? Anyways, I have been PERSISTENT with making sure pepsi doesn’t forget what they did to Miquel by reminding them on their TikTok account every time they post, but still, THEY HAVENT NOTICED ME 😡😡. I mean, how can they deny that them setting micheal on fire ON PURPOSE led to him getting skin whitening surgery??!

Omer Bhatti??

so of course recently, we are mostly likely aware of Omer’s responses to people bringing up mj in his social media posts.

It definitely does make sense on some level - people constantly pestering Omer about how he is Michael’s son, and how Michael would be proud of him today. It’s totally understandable why Omer would be getting frustrated with these comments.

However a lot of the other stuff he has been doing is pretty ambiguous, like selling majority (or all i dont know) of his mj items, (poorly) editing Michael out of pictures and then posting them on instagram, and deleting posts defending him. I believe he also liked a comment on one of his more recent tiktok videos where someone tells people bringing up Michael in his comments to stop (rightfully so) but then proceeds to say that Omer doesn’t like him anymore.

This was ALONG time ago (2 years ago) but on his instagram, he sent a photo of himself when he was younger, captioned “the stories he sits on” or something of that nature.

Keeping in mind he is in a close relationship with Paris, and hasn’t publicly said anything negative about Michael, I am curious to know anyone’s opinions of this matter.

Is there a way if i can tell if file history has ever been on?

Hi everyone.

Currently, my file history says it is configured off, as well as the note that no usable drivers were found. I also checked under file history under event viewer, but was able to find zero events. I am curious to know if there is in fact a way if i can see whether or not it has ever been enabled in my time of owning my computer despite it currently being disabled.

OS: 26200.8973

Thank you all

Would dax be more respected if he had ghostwriters?

Pretty much the title, but was listening to some dax stuff and while his delivery/flow is pretty good, the lyrics are the opposite ngl. He for sure has the ability to rap, but his style of saying whatever rhymes isnt great.
