I love his megas xlr trailer, it's such a combination of scenes and megas xlr theme song.

It sucks being a Taurus ♉️ and this is the guy you zodiac is named after. Unpopular opinion but im ok with him perving on Lucy, but he can't just go and perv on some filler girl.

The bingo sheet is definitely missing a few stephen king-ism but if you know stephen king-ism you will see them in this movie.

The Kickstarter for Chimptopia says that it's "an animated sitcom about three 20-something year old friends who need money so they don't get evicted by their landlord, Chimp.

The trailer for this series depicts Gobbles from Glitch Production's Gamoverse being taken behind a tree and beaten to death.

The Chimptopia pilot was almost a one-to-one reference to Tex Avery's classic Screwey Squirrel cartoon. In the cartoon, the titular Screwy Squirrel takes another squirrel designed to be a jab at Disney and also beats the character. Avery had a disdain for Disney, but animated the Disney-esque squirrel in the classic Disney style. Avery respected the artistry that Disney puts in, whereas Chimptopia does not. The Chimptopia pilot was mean-spirited towards another indie pilot just for an ego boost. You can take jabs at series and still be respectful of the time and dedication that goes into something.

There was literally no substance that justifies this pilot actively mocking another creator's work.

The pilot itself did nothing to establish character roles, settings, or themes. Heck, the character bios are just as unreliable. Chimptopia's main character, Robby, is stated to be, "Joyous and optimistic" yet everything he said or done in the pilot is cynical to straight up violent.

And I haven't even talked about the Kickstarter page.

The Kickstarter says that Chimptopia is blending "the relatability of Seinfeld, the crudeness of South Park, and the wackiness of Smiling Friends." Yet fails to recreate what made those shows good in the first place.

The Kickstarter also says that the creators "think that the indie animated space suffers from a severe lack of episodic shows." Which is blatantly not true. Shows like Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss have thrived with episodic plotlines.

And the stretch goals are absurd. $500,000 for four episodes of an independently created animated series is insane. Especially considering Chimptopia has next to nothing to justify dropping half a million into it.

TL:DR: Don't hate on another creator's work if you have nothing to show for yourself.

I hate that Doofy wasn't in cool mode, it would've been cool if after doofy sent the kids away, his theme song kicked in during the hospital hallway scene.
