Just curious, thinking about going but also feels kinda corny to go to a "concert" where the artist isn't even there, or even alive for that matter...

Am currently jobsearching, and went to the application page for Canes. It directed me here: Cashier | Raising Cane's

Needless to say, I will not be giving my body to Raising Canes if they feel it's fine to take away humans from other jobs such as hiring managers or HR roles...

Back in 2023 me and my lady (Both mid twenties) moved to a new state (Mississippi). Towards the end of our time there we made friends with our neighbor (Old man in his 60s) and went over a few times. We ended up moving out of Mississippi, just a year later, in 2024 but stayed in contact with him ever since. Either him or us have called one another at least once or twice per month and just chatted and stayed up to date on our lives and talked politics, etc. He has always been a chill old Jewish man, watches his NPR every night, listens to Frank Zappa in the living room, smokes a joint or two, shit talks Trump with us, shares old songs with us, etc. Last month we went back to visit her family and went over and saw him a few times, had a great time each visit.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, we were having our normal phone calls and I brought up this Chris Hansen video I saw on YT of this 26 year old guy in the town we lived near in Mississippi who drove two hours to meet up with a 16yo girl and how it was crazy. He goes "ehhh" and I let him continue. Then he told of how when he used to be a manager at some store there was a 16 year old girl employee he had who had "big titties and dress in her schoolgirl outfit to work because she was in private school and worked after school" and told of how they would cuddle and nap on a couch they had in the office and he'd wrap his hands around her and "never did anything sexual but could feel her 'titties' above his arms." Ever since that phone call I haven't answered any of his calls... It was just weird to me how he said "ehh" about the guy from the town I was talking about and how he referred to the breasts of a teenager as "titties" and also didn't see anything wrong with him napping with a 16 year old at 30 years old and wrapping his arms around her... I even tried to point out how it was wrong but he just defended it saying "We didn't do anything sexual, it was just napping." But I can't really look past it, it's creepy to me. Perhaps if he told me the story with regret and understanding how it was wrong and it was 30+ years ago and he feels horrible, then maybe I could have some understanding, but it was the defending it that threw me and my girl way off.

It sucks because we both looked to him as a sort of "grandpa" or "father" figure, since ours aren't really in our life that much or how we'd like them to be...

I haven't said anything to him yet other than that night when I said it was wrong and gross. But I have just been ignoring his calls, he's called twice so far... What should we do?

I have a feeling my main/old audience either forgot about me or are not seeing my videos pop up... I have had a few people comment / tell me on discord that they didn't see that I posted til weeks later on my newer videos... Not sure what's going on.

Last night my girl saw all the vegan fb groups talking about sale at Walmart on most vegan items, with some stuff being as low as $1 / $2.

I told her I'd go check the local Walmart today and see if ours had a sale going on. I get there and almost everything is sold out, except for a few things (which I grabbed, lol). I then drove to a neighborhood market Walmart nearby, then a Walmart in the city next over, and another in the city beyond that. All mostly sold out... I live in Texas and didn't think there was that much of a demand for vegan products, as they're usually always stocked. So I was surprised to see everything gone for the most part.

Just curious on why Walmart is doing this? I can't help but think this is more of a bad sign than a good sign... Will our beloved vegan products be wiped off the shelves soon?

Does anyone work at a Walmart or have any insider information?
