I tried asking the regular cat reddit. They basically said don't increase the size just increase the height. His butt hangs out because he doesn't FIT in the xl litterpans I got from Walmart. I was blaming the poop messes on the dog. It's the cat. He only makes it in like 50/50. With his butt hanging out making the sides larger would possibly make him not use it at all because he'd be cramped. He's a big cat. Has mainecoon in him or SOMETHING.

He's not been to the vet because it's not a medical issue it's a SIZE issue.

Please don't get mad about me asking about dry I'm in the middle of a situation gotta cut costs abit. TRYING to find a dry that won't cause the ungodly litterbox stench(I know poop stinks but when he had dry before it smelled like something died constantly). Ain't had the issue on low carb grain free wet but don't think I can keep the costs stable for abit with him needing 315 kcals a day. I'm keeping some wet just not 100% for abit.

He's 13 almost 14 pounds. He WAS 12 But went up recently. I think it's because he's not as active as he was before. He's slowed down alot recently due to age. He's still somewhat active tho so idk how much to decrease food. He's neutered btw. He's been eating 350kcals(due to being active this was the number we landed on). How much would you decrease for a still semi active cat who just needs to lose a little?

I have been told he needs to lose some but not how much to decrease.

Requests if possible: Grain free high/higher protein foods if possible. He likes Nulo but I can't afford it exclusively anymore. Maybe it paired with something will bring the costs down. Or just replacing entirely. I prefer no legumes but it's fine if they have it.

Clarifying about Purina: I just don't want to support nestle

Clarifying the grain free: grains make his poop STINK for some reason. I also try to avoid corn but I guess it can't be helped if I need to lower costs.

I can drop the need to add dry entirely if the budget cans are high enough calorie to where I don't need like 3-4 cans a day. 2 is fine just 3 and 4 is getting rediculous.

Long story short my puppy found out my cats litter turns into the BEST digging material ever when I skipped a day of scooping for once. Now it's EVERYWHERE. I keep sweeping but it seems like it doesn't end. He even got it on the bed and cat tower. I have NO IDEA how it's on the cat tower.

The litter has been changed for fresh but idk what to do about the sheer amount of sawdust.

I'm having alot of stuff going on. I WAS doing one meal a day with my family like they insisted but after how they talked to me recently that stops. I however cannot seem to figure out substantial meals for the one big meal I eat a day. (The rest is mostly fruit as snacks to make sure I'm getting SOME calories in) I don't have hunger signals anymore but if I don't eat I don't function well after a certain amount of time.

I've never bought for just me. I tried this week but I was told in the past you can't refreeze meat after thawing. Basically all my chicken went bad because I defrosted it and couldn't eat it in time(the one non allergic dog even got a little as a topper and I STILL didn't finish the small container of drumsticks. I don't eat most meat often. Rarely chicken but I do like it. I normally eat shrimp and fish for meat or I eat vegetarian. I can't have cow's milk. Lactose intolerant. I suffer thru sometimes but prefer not to if I don't have to.

I'm doing $100 but can go higher. I prefer that amount tho because I do have animals and one has to have special chicken free food and there's literally no budget friendly food he can keep weight on so his food is ALOT. The others are really fine with anything but the picky one is... Stubborn.

(Please don't get onto me for having animals and being low income. I'm not THAT low income just a pushover who keeps letting family talk me out of more and more money. That's what is making me low income. I know I should grow a backbone)

My oldest cat has been freaking the hell out randomly for WEEKS and just staring off at seemingly nothing and yowling his head off. I've been to the vet so many times thinking something was wrong. He had blood work done. He had a urine test done because he randomly peed on himself while screaming due to how stressed he got. He's been on SO MANY different calming supplements due to trying to avoid meds while not knowing exactly what was wrong. I found out yesterday night EXACTLY why he kept screaming.

I was dog sitting my sister's little toy fox terrier(he's ALOT smaller than the cat for reference) at my house and both were just laying on the bed chilling. My cat suddenly sat up and started screaming again. I reached to pick him up to pet him and get him to calm down and the next thing I knew a white blur went past me and under my shelf. Next thing I know I got a dead rat and a FINALLY calm cat. He hasn't screamed once since and before it was every few hours.

Turns out the rat apparently I guess kept getting in places he couldn't go and instead of doing the normal thing and hunting it so I'd know it was there he decided to yell about it for WEEKS.

Edit: the DOG was the blur. Toy fox terriers are mostly white

Does hemp oil work? Big cat has been stressed easily lately. Brought him to the vet. They want him on anxiety meds permanently if I can't get his stress down. I don't want to immediately resort to pills. Holistic people recommend CBD oil. Hemp oil isn't exactly the same but it's easier for me to get from sources I know are legit. I want to try to manage the stress naturally first BEFORE resulting to a drastic measure. The other cat people keep telling me to just give him the pills 😭. Sure easy for them their cats might not love all over them all the time. I don't wanna change his personality or make him hate me by having to force pills down him.

It might become permanent but if it becomes permanent I'll figure something else out. I'll use this for something else later no matter what(might be another brooding area for babies. My sister votes the rolling one but... Idk. I don't like the wire on the bottom. I'd have to cover that entirely and it doesn't seem very big to me. But the bigger one has no bottom at all which is a problem in itself

She's being housed indoors until I catch this stupid opossum and call game and fish. This thing ain't acting right and killed her partner in broad daylight. Didn't do it to eat and was overall acting strange. It also got my neighbors chicken yesterday. Same thing. Just stayed long enough to kill and immediately left. Didn't flinch at her dogs being on the property.

Yes I know these are for TECHNICALLY for rabbits(please don't put a bunny in these). I'm trying to find something puppy proof. Thought about an xpen but I can't find a durable one she can't fit her head thru and it's 10x harder to put hardware cloth on an xpen than one of these. Puppy has been fine around her with my supervision but don't trust him fully because he's a baby.

Please don't get mad I'm TRYING to keep my pet alive. If y'all have suggestions share them. She ain't going back outside until that thing is GONE tho. It's came back already which means it is hanging around knowing there's birds here.

THIS THING IS BIGGER THAN MY PUPPY AND LITERALLY GOING AFTER THE BIRDS FOR SPORT.

It's acting weird as hell. I'm about to set up my live trap to catch it and call game and fish. I don't own a rifle. I own a bb and a live trap(as well as two dogs one being a puppy, the one who could possibly do something is down sick rn but is half the size of the neighbors dogs and that thing didn't flinch and still got one of their birds after it got my male duck yesterday)

This thing is striking middle of the day and not afraid of anything. It's attacking randomly not to eat just to kill.

I have a pressure activated live trap. Little hard to use but if I get it set correctly it should be able to trap it. I don't even remember how to use it

We have tikibaby(sadly not always available) and Nulo for them rn (also adding Alnutrin into their rotation but they'll still have regular kitten food too) but the white one has a VERY sensitive stomach for some reason and the other one throws up on similar things as well.

Calico: 5 month old

White: 8 month old

Both Requirements: wet only, no grains, lower carbs, NO MILK. SO MANY kitten foods have milk they throw up on anything made with cow's milk. Goats milk doesn't do it but I don't think you can filter for ones made with goats milk. I noticed the distinction while hydrating their foods and giving them treats after I got them to stop throwing up by switching foods. Idk what it is about cow's milk.

Calico kitten extra requirements: keep fish low due to she wants her daily minnow treat. Extra fish and it has to go.

White kitten requirements: Also low fish but due to too much makes him vomit. High protein or high calorie to help with his weight(he drops real easy)

She keeps YEETING HERSELF OFF FURNITURE. Gravity applies to you Ebony 😭. Just because you are a duck does not mean you can just waltz off the couch and not land hard on the floor. I keep having to catch her then she gets mad at me like I made her fall. 😭

Literally I JUST put the ducks back outside due to having them health cleared. I got a new pen in the mail from my sister. Realized it wasn't as predator proof as I thought. I went to get materials to predator proof while they were in there and in the MIDDLE OF THE FRICKEN DAY an opposum got my boy. I have spent hours calling places last minute and finally found another duck I can only pick up next week. Idk what to do in the meantime. I have a duck IN MY HOUSE walking around because she can't be alone(she has officially dominated the house and has put herself above the top heirarchy she however does not seem to understand gravity and I keep having to catch her because she just waddles off stuff). Idk what to do in the meantime. I'm nervous about putting them back outside at all. Literally 20 minutes if not less and one is dead!

I don't trust the new pen at all now. Idk what to do. It was the middle of the day!
