Does anyone have ArtelW_STL's Epitome of War model?

I'm so annoyed I missed the August drop by like 2 days. I subbed to September hoping I could grab it, but I couldn't. I've been waiting but I'm running out of time, and would love to grab the piece (if it is any moral consolation, I did subscribe to September).

I don't have a garage or a nice place to to put it, all I've got is my studio. So I went all out.

If you have ANY other suggestions to make this room resin free, let me know.

Anyone got some good advice on how to run Skyweavers?

I keep messing up my games by not embracing the power of our units. Like not charging troupes into thick units despite the purpose of our troupes is to fish for Dev Wounds- but these issues I can notice.

However, my Skyweavers basically get blasted to bits because they typically never kill a vehicle in 1 round of shooting (in a unit of 4), is there a stratagem I'm missing or are they more for causing severe damage, screening and threatening?

They very quietly fixed Deadly Demise.

So if you didn't know, there was an exploit with Deadly Demise and the Weirdboy that was incredibly funny. You could have a Weirdboy in a unit of Ork Boyz and the Weirdboy inadvertently gave Deadly Demise to the entire unit. With the launch of 11th edition, GW changed the wording of Deadly Demise from "model with this ability is destroyed" to "model in this unit is destroyed". This meant that Ork Boyz with a Weirdboy would act like a blob of squig bomb suicide bombers, you'd teleport them across the table with the Weirdboy, charge them into the middle of the enemy's army, and subsequently create a potential 21" Mortal Wound chain reaction explosion.

This wording is still present in places like New Recruit and Wahapedia, and the 11th edition Core Rulebook on WarComm.

BUT, if you open the app, look for Deadly Demise, it's fixed. This wasn't addressed in an FAQ or an Errata, or the Universal Rules Update for 1.1.

This overall isn't a huge problem, but it does now set a precedent. GW WILL roll out rules updates/erratas without reporting on them anywhere. This will ultimately hurt us as players who may not enjoy the 40k app (it's alright, could be a lot better) or like to use the downloaded resources. This needs to get addressed early so we don't have secret rules updates released exclusively to the app then get a lovely surprise when a rule we thought worked one way, now works a different way.

I know it was an exploit, I'm not saying it was good to abuse and want to keep it, and I'm not saying to take advantage of them when they come up, but I don't personally want fixes to not be covered in their rules updates.

Just read 'Jain Zar: Storm of Silence', can we get a Starscream remodel of the Avatar of Khaine because at this point they're about equal on the jobber tier list.

(I actually just want GW to make a Starscream model)

Can someone please explain how to make Rapid Embarkation work properly?

Firstly- Serpent's Brood's specification of Sustained Hits [1] for just the turn and only when you disembark is kinda crap. A number of armies get flat unit-type buffs without any work- looking at you Necron Destroyer detachment.

Anyway, I don't get how the hell to make this work. If there is an enemy unit I want to charge with the troupe, I'm looking to keep them out of range of my Starweaver. So I keep the Starweaver at least 10"+the unit's movement (so ~16") away from them so the Starweaver doesn't get charged. Maybe they move up a bit, lets even say the full 6". So they're 10" from the Starweaver (besides a bad play from them, let's see what happens).

My turn. Disembark Troupe- because if I move the weaver, I can't charge with the Troupe. Move the Troupe up with a no-fail-range charge. Charge. Kill enemy unit. Now I'm at least 7+" away from the Starweave... and I can't disembark... what gives? What am I missing? Is Rapid Embarkation just for jokes? I literally can't utilise it unless my opponent really fucks up and let's me unload a Troupe into them, which isn't really happening...

I've been theory crafting a lot and I think I might be able to make Purge clowns work.

Flaming Clowns (1995 points)

Aeldari

Armoured Warhost and Serpent’s Brood (3 Detachment Points)

Purge the Foe

Strike Force (2000 points)

Wraithguard (145 points)

5x D-scythe

Wraithguard (145 points)

• 5x Wraithguard

5x D-scythe

Okay so the way it works is fairly simple.

Large Clown unit bodyguards the Avatar who is your big beater.

Weavers Wail Troupe unit in the Falcon as a main push with the back up from the Starweaver troupe unit as backup.

I know the Fire Dragons are slow here, but we're Eldar. We can move them boys, whether they start in Reserves or whatever it is we need, they exist to destroy vehicles (also hidden will keep them safe until they get where they need to be going).

The Wraiths are screeners. We don't need to Psyker tax them because D-Scythes don't roll to hit they overwatch anything that tries to step up.

Death Jester and Leystalker to snipe out characters.

Finally, the dragon Knights are our fast unit, clearing what they need to when.

The only thing I'm going back and forth on is the Dragons being 1 unit or 2. I also debated having Fuegan in there but he's not needed. He's 10 points more than. Just having 5 extra Dragons, I don't see the point frankly. I'll get more out of the 5 extra shots.

Am I missing something about Battle Focus or is it just kinda bad?

Preface: Bad compared to a lot of other army rules that tend to let armies make rerolls or basically see use every turn instead of situational?

I find the only ones I'm really using are Fade Back and Flitting Shadows, and VERY occasionally Opportunity Seized.

I RARELY, if ever, need Sudden Strike (not to mention I play a lot of Harlequins who already have a 6" Pile-in anyway).

I also run Armoured Warhost... so Star Engines doesn't matter.

As for Swift as the Wind, I would like it more if I didn't feel like it basically doesn't matter. I tend to always have more than enough movement for what I want to do because our army is already so fast.

I would LOVE an Agile Manoeuvre that lets me move on my opponent's turn- I know Fade Back kinda fulfils that, but how many times have you been shot by something and the damage is already done? I would love something that let us make a reactive move based on the opponent's move. Say we toe into some terrain, if we could toe out on their turn, it'd be swell. Plenty of other armies can, so why can't the so called "movement shenanigans" army? It'd just be nice.

Also if we could use one to turn off Counter Offensive too I'd weep with joy. Fuck that strat.

So I can fight Necrons fine, but MAN Space Marines and other chapters are like tar pits.

How the hell do we clear through these guys?

I've played my BT friend twice now and his 10 termies, 3 bricks of sword bros and Land Raider just clear me out... And that's only 1500 points of his army. I just can't do shit against an army where every model has at least 2 wounds and 4 melee attacks... Plus the Land Raiders assault ramp AND it's 2D6+6 flamers... What the hell am I actually supposed to do?!

EDIT: Sorry, I should have added more context behind why I said "Necrons", I have another friend who plays them and I can really cleave through them.

Is Fights First for one combat effectively meaningless?

Still trying to get to grips with the new rules.

Since alternative activations in combat aren't divided between 'Fights First' and "None Fights First", if you have a unit that charges and say 2 ongoing fights (that include no fights first units). It would go:

Unit who Charged Fights

Opponent fights

This feels like a real oversight as if you had a unit that was close to dying in a previous fight and you wanted to get a chance to fight before your opponent in that fight to get more value, you'd effectively be giving that up by charging with a different unit into another enemy unit.

Just feels like you're being punished for it being your turn and whoever did the first charge of the game will basically maintain that momentum for the rest of the game.

EDIT: It effectively feels even worse for not going first, as the person who commits the first charge of the game maintains that momentum for the rest of the game.

If your opponent charged a unit and nearly wiped that unit, you'd be a fool for charging another one of your units into any other enemy unit because your opponent will get priority in that first combat again... Just feels like your first unit to be charged is basically given up to die.

With the looming theory that Peter Turbo will be the next primarch release, do we think Havocs will be refreshed soon too?

All of the UK 3rd party retailers seem to have the Havocs on Backorder with GW being the only place I could reliably buy a kit, and I can't help feel with all the Iron Warriors stuff recently, and the theory of more to come, that we'll be getting new Havocs. Is this theory unfounded?

I really want a refresh, that kit is ugly as sin.

Man... I just want to Purge the Foe and Nightmare Hunt. They go well together!

I would legit give up my extra 1 Detachment Point if I could spend it to give me Purge the Foe. For the fun of it, it'd just be good.

I also play Clowns and these damn "unique" keywords for detachments are a real drag.

I'm trying not to be too doomer, please someone give me some positivity

  • So they give us detachments we can't (and won't) take because without either Serpent's Brood (Or Ghosts of the Webway lol) we basically aren't an army.
    • (same 1-point detachments I can't see non-quin armies taking... but y'know)
  • They take away 1/2 of a dedicated transports, one of our only means of running units of 10+ troupes safely...
  • They increase the points of our bikes.

Please someone give me some positivity, I'm drowning in a see of malcontent.

The last time a UK Prime Minister chose to resign voluntarily without being forced out by their own party, a major political crisis, or an election loss was Harold Wilson on 16 March 1976 - Let that sink in.

EDIT: Just because some people didn't read the list below. I am not implying that Starmer left voluntarily. He too was forced out. I'm saying the LAST time it happened was 1976 and it's not happened since (including Starmer).

James Callaghan (1979): Forced out of office after losing a formal House of Commons vote of no confidence following the widespread strikes of the "Winter of Discontent," which led directly to a general election defeat.

Margaret Thatcher (1990): Resigned after a fierce internal cabinet revolt and a leadership challenge triggered by immense public anger over her deeply unpopular Poll Tax.

John Major (1997): Left office following a landslide general election defeat to Tony Blair's Labour Party, having spent years fighting bitter internal party civil wars over Europe.

Tony Blair (2007): Stepped down after a sustained internal rebellion by Labour MPs, which was accelerated by massive public backlash and declining party popularity over the Iraq War.

Gordon Brown (2010): Resigned after Labour failed to win a majority in the 2010 general election, leaving him unable to form a viable governing coalition.

David Cameron (2016): Voluntarily but abruptly resigned after gambling his premiership on the Brexit referendum and unexpectedly losing the vote to the "Leave" campaign.

Theresa May (2019): Forced out by her own MPs and cabinet ministers after she repeatedly failed to pass her negotiated Brexit withdrawal agreement through a deadlocked Parliament

Boris Johnson (2022): Resigned after a mass rebellion involving dozens of his own government ministers, who walked out in protest over a series of high-profile integrity and ethics scandals.

Liz Truss (2022): Forced to resign after a mere 44 days in office when her proposed "mini-budget" triggered severe market chaos and a total collapse of confidence from her own parliamentary party.

Rishi Sunak (2024): Left office immediately after leading the Conservative Party to a historic, crushing defeat in the July 2024 general election.

Keir Starmer (2026): Announced his resignation after facing a major backbench rebellion following disastrous local election losses, coupled with a sudden parliamentary challenge from Andy Burnham.
