Just got AVP, but did not expect eye navigation was so tiring

Do people get used to it eventually? Or you pretty much can’t be browsing as much as I do on laptop.

I feel my eyes getting lazy, never realized just regular browsing on laptop, I’m just half focusing most of the time.

AVP require full focus on every element you click…not exactly sustainable. Going to a movie you know you want to watch which is just a few clicks is fine.

Do most people replace eye tracking with a mouse instead? Or does that only work with Mac virtual display.

Working with an Ex-Big Tech HR Recruiter...tells me all I need to know...

I work at big non-tech company. And due to big layoffs got previous Big Tech HR people here. I thought technical recruiters would be more in-tune...to passing me better candidates to interview. They don't...

Its pretty much...OMG they have big tech SWOON...I interview them...literally all garbage. Read direct from AI, not even trying to hide it. Poor communication, can't even understand anything they are saying...I thought these big tech guys supposed to be top tier what in the world after hearing so much glazing on these guys.

I had to tell HR specifically, I don't care where these people come from. They just have to have the skills.

Majority of people will never get a big tech interview because of this insane and strong bias from big tech HR recruiters. Chicken and egg. Don't get me wrong, I would love to work at big tech just for the dough, but that'd be it. I wouldn't worship the place, or be like anything big tech does is right.

When interviewing, and working with hiring a huge part of the job is literally keeping everyone objective and tearing down all their biases. Just give me a person that can do the job, communicate well, decent to work with. Thats it...

Edit: because there are so many big tech recruiters out there, anyone with big tech gets an easy first interview.

Buying Woodland solely because front looks better?

Like the only reason I want to buy Woodland is because it’s just more aesthetic from the front. But I’m not outdoorsy or go off roading at all. I’m an office commuter so the other models suit me better.
But I find mesh grid of all the others look ugly

YC doesn’t look like it gives enough money?

I am looking at YC and by looks of it. Doesn’t give that much money. My goal is to be able to go full time on the company. Been working nights and weekends after work, I need more time. I am full stack dev and feel like rent and regular costs will burn through it quickly.

Plus I have stable job, and in this market…get a job as experience dev is next to impossible. It’s not the “the job will always be there” because I have been trying to switching jobs for over a year…literally no bites… I fear this may be my actual last full time job if I do quit. And worse case scenario have to take some minimum wage job where I can barely afford my rent.

I do full stack app development and trying to get a portable workflow.

  1. Apple Vision Pro - Portable Monitor
  2. Dictation - For most typing.
  3. Navigating UI with smaller buttons, switching tabs, making edits in code quickly, zooming in and out in Figma - how do I do this?

#3 is the most difficult it seems. As eye focusing and pinching with somewhat complicated UI will be tough. The best I got for navigating UI is a small Bluetooth remote programmable to hot keys.

How will I do canvas type apps that requiring zooming and dragging?

It looks like I still need a physical keyboard and maybe even touchpad…

M32, first time hostel. Now that I’m thinking about it I’m kinda fearful sleeping and people just messing with me sleeping or worse murdering me.

Cause these are strangers…

Or what happens if they s*xually assault me in my sleep. Should I sleep with pocket kn*fe hand to protect myself.

Only blocking me between others is a curtain lol. If I’m awake, then it’s whatever. It’s just the idea of sleeping next to complete strangers.

  1. Anything better than this wheeled paracord hook adjustable lock? The spring button style is just for clothing and too weak. But want to know if anything better.
  2. Looking also for a slim paracord hook with no gate but deep hook

Want to be able to hold like 50lb.

All I see are like cheap China brands, ideally a better source for these

Want to buy the Vision Pro for the ultimate virtual monitor.

  1. Use Tailscale so I can use it anywhere as my laptop placement + dictation + small programmable bluetoot

h

  1. remote for quick commands. The ultimate portable setup.

The issues I see:

  1. Heavy…people say it’s uncomfortable because too heavy. I really wanted to wear this all day
  2. Risk of it being discontinued and unsupported. As sales in this thing haven’t been hot. Easy to get replacement parts?

I mainly use minoxidil for my eyebrows and started a bit on my face for beard. Only grow beard naturally around the mouth…

The thing is that using minoxidil on the brows or anywhere the effects are never that localized. Like I started seeing a few terminal hairs grew around my cheeks that were never there.

The thing is that I have also noticed increased amount of gray hair on my temples. Parts of my natural beard are red/brownish. I have black hair.

Does minoxidil have a lightening effect on hair?

I stopped minoxidil completely due to much more gray hairs on temple. I didn’t get it to the point that the new hair growth were all terminal and permanent… I was plateauing in gains anyways.
