My Sins Are My Savior - Madonna f. Stromae
This has just got to be the standout track from Confessions II

Even First World countries like Japan have to deal with extreme weather on a regular basis. What can we learn from a country that has ingrained civic responsibility into their own collective psyche?
A solid soulful jam from the multi-talented Clarke, whose CV includes roles in Doctor Who and the Elton John biopic Rocketman
She will be portraying Othello for the Royal Shakespeare Company
...when this turns out better than a recent big-budget Hollywood entry
San Francisco (You Got Me) - Village People
Got to admit, his behaviour later in life was kinda reprehensible, but the dude did sure know how to SING!
Those (obviously) church-trained pipes wouldn't look out of place with the Sigma Sound Orchestra backing, but that was the secret sauce that made the Village People stand out from the disco horde. Philly's loss is the Odyssey's gain, as Willis got this garishly costumed bunch on stages the world over.
IIRC, there are actually 2 groups who advertise themselves as the "Village People". The one led by the (late) Victor Willis is that playing within the US while the other one - ran by the estate of original co-creator Henri Belolo - features the "Native American" Felipe Rose and plays global stages.
Confusing, much?
Dito galing si Teacher Georcelle haha joke. Bakit kaya pinalitan ang title nito from Gatchaman?
Fil-Brit singer/songwriter beabadoobee follows up her BRIT Awards-nominated This Is How Tomorrow Moves with a new installment that should bring back the scruffier grunge influences of her earlier releases.
Among the collaborators on this new set include Hayley Williams (Paramore) and Chino Moreno (Deftones)
Too bad her collaboration with The Marias didn't make the cut
Will she criminalize anyone posting memes comparing her to Agnes Trunchbull from Matilda - just like what China's Xi Jin-Ping does to those comparing him to Disney's Winnie-the-Pooh?
When I first heard that Kenneth Branagh's big-budget adaptation of Death On The Nile will be leased to r/NetflixPH I couldn't help but look up YT for more hot takes on Gal Gadot's acting ability.
Then I see this gem from Wonder Woman 1984 where Diana tries to reason out with megalomaniac villain Maxwell Lord from the cockpit of a fighter jet
First thing that came in mind was Darna exclaiming "Ding...ang bato!!!"
Yet another one gets paroled from Disney jail for our blessed bemusement
Hear that iconic line illustrating Our Gal's acting skills (or lack thereof)
I will keep on saying this till my karma goes on double-digit negative levels here, but why can't Filipino filmmakers go this deep?

Yes we can argue that the Hindu concept of karma goes against Filipinos' (borrowed) Roman Catholic culture, but you get a guy who isn't afraid to get his vision across - no matter how bananas. And yes, he is working from the standpoint of a Malayalam filmmaker which is regional as far as India is concerned.

Filipino filmmakers should no longer be constrained by formulas, "love teams" or even government indifference (high taxes, absence of support, yada yada yada). If P-Pop can stand on global stages like Coachella or Lollapalooza, why can't Filipino films once rise up again?

Bam Aquino, the Filipino senator, and Victor Garber, the actor known for films like Legally Blonde, Argo and Titanic as well as TV series like Alias, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Not Safe for Work, do share some striking features. Both have that rounded face shape, gentle eyes, and a kind of dignified, approachable presence. Garber often plays characters with gravitas—professors, diplomats, mentors—while Aquino’s public persona leans toward youthful reformer and policy advocate, but visually there’s definitely a resemblance in their smile and the way their expressions soften when they’re speaking.
It’s interesting how these cross-cultural lookalikes pop up. Sometimes it’s just bone structure and hairline, but other times it’s the aura—Aquino’s calm, articulate demeanor mirrors Garber’s composed, professorial vibe.
