Beko Frost-Free Freezer Icing Up

Beko TFF673APS kept in a garage, has started icing up at the back but only on the right hand side. It was originally like photo 1 only worse, with the ice covering the full height of the freezer. We took the inner cover out, to find solid ice covering the workings at the back, but again, only on one side - photo 2 is after it had been defrosting for a while. The drain pipe seems to be clear.

We let it completely defrost then turned it back on, and it has started icing up again.

Any thoughts? Is it time for a new one, or can it be fixed?

Hermitage Castle, Scotland

This used to be the main entrance to the castle between about 1370s to 1540s. It's just to the right of the big archway visible in the second photo.
