8,000 unread emails and a double booked calendar. Why am I still doing manual data entry for these tools?
I have gone through the usual suspects. The issue is not that the tools are bad. It is that they all require me to be the middleman.
Every night at 11pm I am sitting there looking at Slack to see who is blocked, then checking my email for urgent fires, and then trying to shove it all into a calendar that is already overbooked. These apps have the data but they act like they are on separate planets. I am tired of spending an hour every day just being the bridge between all these different tools.
I am not looking for new app recommendations, but I am curious to hear how others actually handle this workflow. Does anyone have a setup where these things talk to each other without requiring constant babysitting? Or are we all just pretending that adding another system is the solution?
