My breastfed baby is not burping, is this normal?

My first born was formula fed so burped all the time.

Im also worrying now that baby is crying because hes in pain from not burping?? He seems to cry alot and just want the boob but apparently thats also a sign of gas.

He sleeps soundly once been on the boob though so clearly not in enough pain that impacts his sleeping??
