Performance vs quality mode?

What you guys prefer performance 60fps or quality 30fps? I mean don't you feel laggy if you are on quality mode?

I played mostly on pc optimizing graphics for higher frames. So I'm concern about 30fps gaming. I only played Ps5 for like 5mins during trial. So can't say much, your opinion?

How's is Indian railway job in 2026?

I heard back from a old friend that he got posted in group c post in Indian railways and is very happy.. We graduated together and stayed together till job hunt. He is very happy with job and suggests me to fill the forms.

I was very against govt job because of monotonous work, no professional growth like corporate. Posting away from home (which I don't mind, I'm young). But I'm getting old without ever getting employed.

So I am trying to attempt this last time.

Tldr

I want to know how's the Indian railway as of now. Given that many job postings are reduced because of future plan of privatization. This work culture is carried out from British era and very antique. What will be the future of railways?

Is it good to join now? Given I clear the paper?

Is annotated version worth reading?

I want to ask the readers, should I read the annotated version, since I'm just starting out to read about casteism, I don't want to reframe my perspective. Lots of criticism and controversy were happened against her. So is her point of view matters, is she neutral I mean. Because as she says, she doesn't believe in caste system but he's father is from brahmin family.?

Are you able to pursue dreams after getting government Job?

As per my perspective, I think government job isn't flashy luxury lifestyle (unless you want to play wild).

Life becomes simple and monotonous, with little but stable growth. Surely an individual will lack purpose towards their work as it isn't revolutionary but simple operation workflow. Central jobs have more perks but living away from home is the biggest disadvantage.

I want to know after getting central posting, how's your life? Especially who are recent joiners and 20s. How are you fulfilling your dreams. Of course you will first fulfill your parents first but after which do you have time, encouragement and peace of mind to pursue Your dream?

I want to know because I've seen my parent's generation who sacrificed a lot of their energy for family's future. Do I have to go through that? Not in same way but similar aspects?

Indian Railway job lifestyle

I want to know about the work life of TTE in Indian railway. Since it is a field job. You can't return your home back. I'm more concerned about life after work. Would life becomes only work?

Someone with passion, will they able to pursue their passion and side hobbies?

I know from my parents Generation, who didn't really have time, encouragement and support for side activities. I'm bit concerned about it. I don't wanna lost my identity for just a job sake.

Can we have discussion about this.?

Aiming for department promotions are good option Ig, something with stable office job.

Life lately

My life suddenly stops when I am at hometown. It didn't really felt like home ever. It was more like parents home. I barely able to make friends outside. I was absolutely worst here. The only escape was study which I was good at. I studied, got great marks and selected for college in other state. There was my best memories, but it didn't stayed longer, I was alone again. But alone I learnt more about world and myself. After finishing college I came back to parents home and depression again hit like a truck.

I started studying again for jobs (data science then government jobs) but it didn't click me. I wasn't feeling right. Two years went by.

Now I'm just studying again for a job. And preparing for a entry level role or internship in completely different field.

I literally was so unstable in past few months or so. I deliberately fcuked up most of the relationships. My life revolves around the people who feeds me.

I understand the current situation of job market but I'm literally dying inside staying at parents home.

When it was our time to do something, world fcuked us up. This timeline doesn't feel right.

But I'm not giving up.

Now I don't have goals to achieve but a system to set up.

I hope world isn't the worst place. I hope I make good friends. I hope I can make good connections. I hope I'll be authentic. I hope I'll get back normal.

I hope I'll make my surroundings beautiful and peaceful. ❤️

Looking for experienced Motherboard repair man. 👀

So, I've a laptop with motherboard level problem. I went to general repair center and made the situation worse.

The laptop had charging issue but after fixing the guy actually mistakenly placed IC opposite which shot the circuit. I took to another repair man who fixed the IC but the guy said it can't be fixed so either use it like desktop (direct power supply) or change the MB, ofc I couldn't afford to change MB.

I was using the laptop without battery with direct power supply, until one day it blacked out.

.

So I'm looking for some expert who can actually fix the circuit.

Selling used laptop with hardware changes.

I just want to ask a small question

I've a gaming laptop with great specs. But I had misfortune with this one. I used to learn skills and mostly gaming. But one day there was problem with charging IC which I got replaced but after problem still unresolved, I repaired again resulting in a condition. That condition is - I could not utilize battery now. It works only with direct AC connection. There is slight power drop but not significant. So my laptop works as desktop now.

I'm planning to sell it because I no longer need such powerful system and ofc of this issue too. So how much would anyone pay for this. I bought it for 70k in 2023. Was planning to sell for 50k before this problem, but now please help me decide the amount.

Specs- ryzen 7 5800h /rtx3050 4gb gddr6 /8+8 GB Ddr4 3200mhz / 512 nvme ssd/ win11 with MS Office.

Laptop charging IC short

Well a short story about this-

My laptop's charger was infested by ants and it got damaged. Then I moved to city A for some work and was short on money so couldn't buy a charger. After 2 months I bought a charger but my laptop wasn't charging.

I took it to service center where they told my charging IC was short circuit due to inactivity. Maybe some insect or some other factor may have resulted in such situation. I should have disconnected the battery if not using for long period.

So I asked them to fix it. They did and after few days same problem persists.

I returned back to my home and took it to nearby service center. They checked and they told I previous service guys has put the IC opposite due to which it got short circuit again.

They actually fixed it and changed the power cable for half the price but said now you can't use the battery, it will work like desktop. Fine.

I was using it like desktop by disconnecting the battery but everytime I run heavy software, like blender or heavy game. The performance drops and stutter even laptop gets heated. So I just stopped using heavy task and one day it suddenly died.

Everytime it happened the power cable has some fault so I bought a new one, it was working fine until one day it again died.

Now I bought a new one but damn, it wasn't starting. I'm fed up of this. Now it's like more than 6-7 months I'm not using my laptop.

I'm gonna visit again for hardware check up soon..

My main query is, if it's working on direct connection, why there is performance drop and heating issue??

Is there any software related issues for this like on bios level for power management or something?.

Stück at career choice. Help me choose a path.

Short story about me-

I was above average at acedemics and very regimented. But there were many incidents by which I lost like minded people and stopped seeing them. Since then I was always ashamed and lost self esteem to take any decisions.

Habitually I became sorta NEET, playing video games, not meeting real people. After finishing 12 boards I went underground and post covid I never went out. I joined some random college with no study interest. Just became rat in a room, substance abuse, alcohol and after graduation I became more useless and directionless.

CAREER struggle -

During college I was planning to move abroad but got low grade due to no interest.

So I started preparing for iit and research institute. I just dropped it.

Post college I prepared for data science jobs but dropped it.

I studied for government exams but dropped it.

I'm really not interested in any of these things.

I used to believe I'm not around like minded people that's why I just drop everything. But now I just not good at anything.

Currently I'm 25, no work experience and preparing to join a import export company to understand global trade. I've started with a short course and my long term plan is to either join a foreign company or start my own business firm.

I think I've wasted time not talking to people about future and having 'Real talk'. But I feel so under qualified to ask questions to anyone. Anyways,

  1. I have seriously dropped the plan of pursuing masters. (I might do an MBA).

  2. Sometime I think I should prepare for govt job, looks stable and secure. But investing 2-3 years from now on is dangerous.

  3. Just continue learning what I'm interested in (global trade). Be broke for awhile and make connection to get a suitable job. Then might progress from there.

I was so desperate for income source because my family's financial status. I just stay in my parents home, no entertainment, no outgoing or anything else.

Why some capable folks, despite of being potential fails?

I've seen couple of people who were very capable. Like they learn and grasps things quickly, act like professional and have great sense of presence.

Some of them I know fails later in life especially around early 20s. Some become rats living in the world of internet, play video games, some become drug addicts while some become criminals.

While there were folks who were kinda dumb, weak in academics, sports and had bad circle end up being hardworking and become good citizens.

Is it upbringing, societal judgments or something else??

Sorry English is not my first language so could not be good with vocab.

Help me comeback, please!

I'm 25 now. I used to be physically active until school time. Post covid I lost interest, my circle changed, I couldn't perform well.

I went to the gym not more than 2 months. Btw I love bodyweight training and compound lifting.

My drinking increased, started smoking.

Now I've been abstaining for months and want to restart my healthy life.

I've already chosen healthy diet, it's just I need physical activity too. I'm not employed as of now. Earlier I used to suddenly decide running, then sore my muscles take rest for week and back again bed rotting.

So my plan is to start by running and basic streching.

Help me to be consistent.
