My cozy farming game starts like this… and somehow ends up like THIS 😂🌱

I think this might be the last time I share my little farming game before it releases. 🥹

You start with just a tiny patch of land, a few crops and almost nothing to your name… and eventually your farm can become this absolute chaos. 😂

You grow crops, raise cute animals, react to changing market prices, complete little quests and slowly feed more and more people as your village grows.

I’ve spent the last two years making it on my own, and it feels very strange to say this, but Farmers Market is finally finished and ready to launch. 🌱❤️

I’m doing one last little push before release, so if cozy farming games are your thing, I’d genuinely love to have you along for launch.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along or given me feedback while I’ve been making it. I can’t quite believe I’ve reached this point. 🥹

My little farming game launches next few weeks - one final wishlist push after 2 years of solo development 🌱

Well, this is it. After two years of solo development, Farmers Market is finally ready to launch next few weeks.

You start with a tiny patch of land and grow it into a huge, chaotic farm - planting crops, raising animals, reacting to market surges and crashes, completing quests, buying upgrades, and feeding an ever-growing village.

The screenshot above is what your farm can eventually become. It starts much smaller. 😂

I’m doing one final wishlist push before launch, and every single wishlist genuinely makes a difference for a tiny solo-developed game like mine.

If this looks like your kind of game, I’d absolutely love to have you there on launch day. ❤️🌱

Thank you to everyone who has followed the game, given feedback, or wishlisted already. I genuinely can’t believe I’m finally at this point.

After 2 years of solo development, my little isometric farming game is finally ready for release 🌱

This is probably the last screenshot I’ll share before launch.

Two years ago this was just a tiny prototype. Today it’s finally ready for players.

You build a little isometric farm, grow crops, raise adorable animals, react to changing market prices, complete quests, and most importantly… feed a growing village that’s relying on you.

Seeing everything come together has been incredibly rewarding, and honestly a little emotional after spending so long working on it alone.

Huge thanks to everyone in this community who’s shared their own isometric projects over the years - you’ve been a genuine source of inspiration.

Here’s one of my favourite screenshots from the final build. I hope you like it. 🌾❤️

My French mother-in-law paints intuitively as part of her spiritual practice

My mother-in-law has been involved in spiritual healing for many years, and painting has become a big part of her life alongside that.

She paints in a very intuitive way. She doesn’t usually start with sketches or a detailed plan - she sits down, enters a meditative state, and lets the painting develop naturally.

I’ve attached a few examples of her work because I thought some of you might find the process interesting.

As someone who isn’t an artist myself, I’ve always been fascinated by the recurring themes that seem to appear in her paintings: trees, light, movement, nature, feminine energy, and interconnectedness.

I’d be interested to hear what stands out to you, whether any particular piece resonates, and what your first impressions are as artists.

No hidden agenda here - I’m just curious how people outside our family react to her work.

I didn’t want players to save a village. I wanted them to care about the people living in it 💛

One thing always bothered me in farming and management games.

You’re constantly told you’re helping “the town” or “the community”…

but you never really know who those people are.
So while making Farmers Market, I started creating actual villagers with their own personalities, stories and goals.

Nana Rue keeps the village fed with her legendary soup pot.

Old Marlo taught generations of farmers how to work the land.

Young Thomas dreams of transforming the village through new farming ideas.

As your farm grows, you’re not just increasing profits.

You’re helping these people rebuild their lives.

Honestly, seeing players become attached to the villagers has been one of the most rewarding parts of development.

Who’s your favourite?

To Celebrate Paralives Early Access, I'm Giving Away 2 Copies ❤️

Hey everyone,

I've been following Paralives for years, and seeing it finally launch into Early Access has been incredible.

Growing up, I was a huge Sims fan. My sister and I would spend hours talking about the families we wanted to create, the houses we were going to build, and all the stories that would unfold. Some of my favorite gaming memories came from those conversations and the countless hours we spent playing together.

As an indie game developer myself, it's been especially inspiring to watch the Paralives team stick with their vision over the years and finally reach this milestone. Building games is a long journey, and seeing a passionate team bring their dream project to Early Access is genuinely exciting. I think that's something worth celebrating.

To celebrate this milestone, I'd like to purchase and gift two copies of Paralives to members of the community.

To enter, leave a comment below and tell me:

• What you're most excited to do in Paralives, or
• Your favorite memory from any life simulation game

I'll randomly select 2 winners in 72 hours and contact them through Reddit.

Congratulations to the Paralives team on the Early Access launch, and good luck everyone creating their new story! ❤️

I wanted my farming game to feel more about helping people than just making profit 💛

Hi! I’m a solo developer currently working on a cozy farming game called Farmers Market 🌱

One thing I’ve always loved about cozy games is when they make the world feel warm and meaningful, so I wanted farming to feel connected to the people around you instead of just endlessly selling crops for money.

In the game, crop prices change daily based on supply and demand, but your farm also helps nourish and support a struggling village over time.

You can upgrade crops so each harvest helps feed more villagers, unlock new farming areas and animals, and gradually help the town thrive again 💛

I’ve been trying really hard to make it feel relaxing and wholesome while still giving players meaningful choices to make.

Would genuinely love to know what cozy players think of the vibe so far ☺️

And If anyone’s curious, you can find out more on Steam 🌱

Looking for cozy creators who enjoy covering smaller indie games.

Hi! I’m currently preparing for the release of my first indie game and trying to discover cozy creators whose audiences genuinely enjoy smaller farming/management games.

My game mixes cozy farming with dynamic market systems where crop prices change daily based on supply and demand, and your farm gradually helps a struggling village grow and thrive again.

I’d much rather find creators organically through recommendations instead of cold emailing random people who may not even enjoy this genre.

Does anyone know smaller cozy YouTubers/streamers who enjoy:
- farming sims
- cozy management games
- wholesome indie games
- relaxing strategy games

Would really appreciate recommendations, especially smaller creators people think deserve more attention too 💛

I’ve been working on a farming game where your farm directly helps a struggling village grow again

Hi! I’m a solo developer currently working on a farming and village-building game called Farmers Market** **🌱

The idea started from wanting farming to feel more connected to the world around you instead of just endlessly selling crops for money.

In the game, crop prices change daily based on supply and demand, so there’s a constant balance between:

-expanding your farm
-deciding what to grow
-and choosing the right time to sell

But the part I’ve enjoyed building most is the village progression side.

As your farm succeeds, you gradually help feed and support a struggling village, unlock new areas, expand your layout, and improve the town over time 💛

One of my favourite systems is the “People Nourished” counter, which tracks how many villagers your farm has helped feed throughout your playthrough.

I’ve been trying to make it feel relaxing and cozy while still giving players meaningful decisions to make.

Would genuinely love to hear what city builder / management players think of the concept!

The idea started from wanting to make a farming game that feels a little more connected to the people around you.

In the game, crop prices change daily based on supply and demand, so there’s a constant balance between growing efficiently and deciding when to sell. But underneath the strategy side, the heart of the game is helping a struggling village recover and grow again.

One of my favourite systems is the People Nourished counter, which tracks how many villagers your farm has helped feed over time 💛

I’ve been trying really hard to keep the game feeling cozy and relaxing while still giving players meaningful decisions to make.

Hi! I was given permission to share my game here, and I wanted to approach this a bit differently.

I’ve been working on a cozy farming game called Farmers Market, but for me it’s never really been just about farming.

The idea started from wanting to create something that feels like you’re actually helping a place recover.

In the game, the village has been struggling to grow enough food because of changing market conditions, and you return home to try and help rebuild things. As you play, your decisions directly affect how many people you’re able to feed, and there’s a “People Nourished” counter that tracks that impact.

What I’ve been trying to focus on is making the game feel “alive” - not just planting crops, but reacting to a world that shifts around you. Prices change daily, events affect demand, and you’re constantly deciding whether to play it safe or take a risk.

But underneath all of that, I think the most important part for me has been the feeling of helping something grow again.

I’d genuinely love to know what people here look for in cozy games - what makes something feel comforting or meaningful to you?

(There’s a demo on Steam if anyone’s curious, but I mainly just wanted to share the idea and hear your thoughts 💛)

I’ve been experimenting with plant progression in my farming game.

Crops start by feeding 1 villager per harvest, but after upgrading they can feed 3.

It adds a trade-off between investing early for long-term efficiency or reacting to daily market price changes.

Curious how others would approach this - would you prioritise scaling output, or timing the market?

(This is part of a game I’ve been working on if you’re curious - happy to share more details.)
