How is living in Coimbra (Portugal)?

How is living in Coimbra (Portugal)?

How is living in Coimbra (Portugal)?

It is planned to move to a cheaper country due to early retirement because nobody wants to give me a job in my country (Switzerland). We are a couple and have a passive income of about €2000 to €2100 per month available. A short check on Idealista showed me that T1 and some T2 apartments are available for €650 per month and below.

A person told me to check Coimbra because it has everything. A decent public transportation system, and it is cheaper than Porto or Lisboa.

Living on Saõ Miguel on €2000 per month possible?

Someone pointed me to check the Azores for an alternative place to live. We are a couple and have a pension of about €2000 per month available.

Will a decent living be possible on that pension?

I choose Saõ Miguel because it has a decent city (Ponte Delgado) and the biggest airport on the Azores.

I have seen several pics from the Azores and it looks like a mini Switzerland where I currently live.

And now here comes some questions:

Are there some language courses available to learn Portuguese on the island?

How well is the public transportation on the whole island?

What is a decent website on checking for houses or apartments?

How well are the medical services? I am handicapped but need only medical checks every 2 to 3 months. I'm not movement restricted.

Do some people play Dungeons & Dragons there? 😁

Thank you for your help.

Another dress for bellies.

There was a question about what to wear with a belly. Here is one solution. A stretchy top with a long wide skirt part. The stretch top has to be choosen the way that it is not stretched too much and that the top line ends above the belly.

I'm not sure if I should buy this combo of a T-Shirt with a matching skirt?

Pro: it hides the belly quite well due to its pattern.

Con: looks too flashy.

I heard the south of Portugal is more expensive than the north. My wife and I have soon to look for a new living place because the living costs in my country will surpass our available income in the near future due to a further loss of income. Now we are looking for a small to medium-sized city in northern Portugal. It should have some decent medical service and somewhat decent public transportation available.

I have a passive income of about €2000.- per month available, which is our limit. My research showed that there are even possibilities to live on that in Porto. But we prefer smaller cities.

Rentals seem to be somewhat cheaper than comparable ones in Spain.

Testing a combo from C&A. T-shirt with matching skirt. I'm not sure if I should by these.
