Any recommendations for a nice semi-fancy/upscale restaurant near BNA airport? Preferably a nice seafood or steakhouse or French restaurant.

Has anyone else noticed a big drop off in quality with See's? I used to live out in the west coast 15 years ago so every now and then I would buy some See's Peanut Butter Crunch squares. I remember them tasting really good. And it didn't taste cheap to me.

Fast forward to a few days ago and I purchased a small little premade bag of the Peanut Butter Crunch pieces(much higher price by the way). I ate a couple pieces and no joke I thought it tasted terribly. I hardly even tasted the peanut butter flavor, it was like I was eating a bunch of cheap disgusting ingredients.

It's a shame because I'm sure See's like so many other places went the cheap quality route. Prices of course for us consumers still keep going up but they definitely have changed their ingredients to cheaper low quality crap.

It's a shame because I used to love See's Candies.

My dad used to eat it when I was a kid in the early 80's. He put M&M's in it and got me hooked lol.

I haven't met anyone who remembers it.

For me it's a no-brainer.

No joke I still think of their crabcakes today that's how good they were. All their seafood was fresh and delicious. They had the best shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and fried shrimp(until the last couple years they were open) were always big and succulent.

Honorary mention to George Aikens, Sir Loin and Kings Family Restaurants and Max & Erma's. I know there is 1 or 2 around still but it's a totally different menu from the 80's and 90's.

Anyone miss the McDonald's at the airport? It's still weird for me not seeing it with the big early morning lines. Was there for so many years but I'm not really gonna say I miss it lol. I do miss the Rite Aid though.

I'm sorry but since new ownership took over the place is terrible. The all you can eat sides was so awesome, they used to have this delicious Toll-House Pie with ice cream and it was amazing. The crabcakes they had(used to be every Wednesday but then became offered every night)were imo 1 of the best ever. I've eaten legit Maryland style crabcakes in Maryland and I honestly preferred the old Tavern style crabcakes.

Pat used to own it for decades and it was just a wonderful restaurant to eat. And it was affordable too.

Unfortunately once he sold it and new ownership took over they have changed it into some mediocre high priced place that doesn't do it for me at all.

Not sure if anyone else feels that way but the Tavern for many years was a must go to restaurant, now? No way.

No joke I watched that as a kid in the 1980's and it scared the crap out of me. I've seen it a few times over the years and that movie still gives me the creeps.

Anyone remember this movie? The evil grandmother was terrifying. And that creepy ass butler who took the child Cory when he became too sick?

The mom though, it's so crazy to me how she changed and didn't care at all about her children over time.

Recently the NRSC sent a letter to top AI companies that data centers coverage is all negative and asked these AI companies for help in shifting the public image lol.

Not a coincidence that tonight Laura Ingraham has on annoying Lydia to talk about how great these data centers are!!

Obviously Fake Fox News gotta keep trying to trick their viewers and brainwash them into believing the Republican agenda. Dems have been hammering home the message(all true)that these data centers are awful for the environment and they are extremely noisy and so many people don't want them in their communities. So leave it to phony Fox News to try and push a different narrative now.

Anyways just funny how Lydia comes on Abby' show and the next night she's back in her comfort zone, Fox News.

Anyone just watch this? Scott Jennings did his usual fake outrage at Jon Ossoff for calling out the weird and close relationship between this blonde young pretty aide and Trump. He went off for at least 3 minutes then Dem panelist Ashley Etienne said it was fake outrage and Jennings exploded in anger and Laura had to stop him from interrupting lol. Both Scott and Ashley Eitenne continued to argue until the show went to commercial.

I remember watching Holman Prison in Alabama and they had Bobby Gilbert the inmate(think he died)and this warden Grantt Culliver who actually seemed like he tried to be fair to the inmates. I was impressed with him after he offered an ice cream cone to a mentally ill inmate to calm him down.

Did some research and come to find out he was promoted to Commissioner in the Alabama Prison system but resigned in 2018 due to sexual misconduct allegations.

Maybe there's a glitch today or something. Anyone else having this problem now.

I tried to book a 3 night stay at a Marriott hotel for in mid August and I get to the end page and there is nowhere for me to click to actually book the room. It has the breakdown of the charges and everything and tells me when I can cancel free of charge but I can't actually click on anything to book the damn room! This is on my Samsung phone, not a laptop or tablet.

Lol so annoying.
