what causes simple styles to be appealing?

Like for example in this, it seems to me everything is overall simple. however in my opinion it seems appealing. And the amount of hits this person gets is quite good.

however, I’ve also seen people who seem to put much more detail in their art be considered unappealing. And it often reflects on their follower count etc however you want to measure it.

I’ve also seen people attempt simple styles and their art is not also good, so it’s not everyone who draws simply.

Why would that be the case exactly? I know it’s not completely black and white. But surely there’s some reason for this

Something I heard years ago about Jayce that I could never get out of my head so I’ll ask here

Years ago I was watching a streamer called LS, one time he was briefly talking about Jayce and he mentioned something like how Jayce can only do certain combos at like 0 -10 ping basically. most likely he may have been exaggerating. but now a days I still wondering exactly what he was talking about because it seems like he was referring to something so vague.

Does anyone know what he may have been referring to?

dumb question

I am vaguely aware of the Amphoreus storyline so correct me if I’m wrong. but if these guys are like in a computer or whatever, they can’t technically fight anyone in their own verse right? so anything with scaling is equivalent to hypothetical fan fiction at that point?
