TIFU critiquing isreal for scoring second highest on eurovision contest 2026

Context: i saw a post on a subbreddit featuring eurovision contest 2026 leader board that showed isreal scored 2nd highest...

After seeing the leader board, I made this comment:

"Israel second? Yikes, and they arent even european.

They were bought out by the zionists."

5 mins after this comment, I was temp banned for 3 days by reddit automated system.

I was banned with reason of: "promotion of hate or violence"

  1. I was critiquing isreal eligibility in eurovision contest.

  2. I was critiquing isreal's second highest score, as I believe isreal must have had influence over eurovision, lobbying or funding. Which isreal is famous for doing in western countries, like USA with AIPAC funding, as they have USA starting Ira n war in their interest etc.

  3. Zionism is a political ideology, not a group, race or protected identity group. Critiquing zionists is no different to critiquing communists, as both are ideologies.

I had to appeal the ban and they reinstated the comment and the ban was lifted.

TL;DR: My comment on a reddit post was removed without context - it was a reply to a Eurovision contest post. I critiqued Israel's eligibility and lobbying influence, as they scored 2nd highest. Zionism is a political ideology, not a race. No hate or violence was promoted.

What is up with the rise of nationalist / right wing parties like MAGA in USA, AFD in Germany or Restore/Reform in UK?

is it just immigration again?

the issue is that these far right parties use immigration as a way to get elected and afterwards enact policies that only benefit the rich

immigration is their scapegoat

but i mean immigration itself isn't inherently bad/negative anyways, just that it should be controlled.

but every far right party that used immigration to campaign with and get elected, like MAGA, conservatives in UK, rarely did any good for the working class

so i don't get why people are choosing to elect parties solely based on a singular immigration issue, rather than a broader view of all their policies they want to implement and weighing the benefits of that.

because i commonly hear the phrasing that, as a result of not being listened to about immigration they were "forced" to vote for the far right parties, i mean if i was a rich billionaire, i would love to hear ways of exploiting the poor to vote for my interests, and if immigration is the deciding factor for the majority, then thats certainly what i'd have parties i fund campaign on.

I personally have a gut feeling, that any party that Elon musk backs, like AFD, MAGA, reform, are inherently bad for the working class, as you can only imagine why the richest man in the world, possibly history of man kind would want these parties elected...

Follow the money essentially, money speaks. If the rich/wealthy side with AFD, MAGA, Reform, then are they really a party of the working class? i doubt any billionaire would actively want to support/fund a party that would favour the poor

BBC biased reporting of reform councillor who idolized hitler on X, look at the difference between thestar and BBC reporting of this

BBC conveniently keeps the headline vague, saying it brought party into disrepute, and not just outlining what racist right wing shit the reformer has been posting, like thestar.co.uk did, and also they didn't even bother to put the screenshots of his X postings of hitlers book either or the hitler outfits.
