When a retail worker simply has enough, when they’re finally going crazy, the spirit of retail breaks into their place of work during the night to break everything and cause the biggest mess. It’s not trying to attack people if there was any present, it only tries to destroy the shop. But it sure is a scary sight to see!
Yeah so… I’m preparing myself to quit my job, or at least search for a new one but I don’t want to have two jobs because I can’t handle staying at my current one when my boss clearly said she doesn’t give work hours based on seniority (I’ve been working there for almost three years and a coworker who has been there for only a few months keeps demanding my shifts, I currently do less than 5 hours a week and I’m on the verge of not being able to afford my meds and appointments, I don’t even go to the dentist and optometrist anymore because I know I have problems that will require me to pay even more money). And the clients of the shop are simply too much to handle so I will be looking for stores that have a more specific type of customers. I have to basically work as a temporary caregiver for elderly people and intellectually disabled people that are frequently coming to the store without being accompanied by a caregiver and as much as I feel so much empathy for them, I am not qualified for that and am still paid minimum wage to handle this. As I am disabled myself, it just pains me to realize how broken the system is that I have to hold a job to afford my meds, which doesn’t pay me enough to afford them, and on top of that have to care for other disabled people when no one taught me how and I am not paid a caregiver wage. I’ll be writing my resignation letter as soon as I find a better job.
Last night, instead of going to sleep, Benji decided I needed supervision to refill his kibble containers. I think he’s my boss now. He is the kibble expert!
The weather is so nice today, we’re enjoying finally being outside after such cold temperatures!

They could feasibly be made by an artist I suppose and my dad really tried not to get me a shirt made by AI but… I don’t think he knows what to look for. This design is all over Pinterest and I can’t trace it back to a specific artist or store.

Started with a painful PT appointment, then weird dreams at night, helping my grandparents with cleaning like I do every week, doing my weekly testosterone shot (I’m trans 🏳️⚧️), working on my game I’m making, staying up late listening to ASMR, working on my game some more, going to work, wishing I could go hiking, going to work again in retail, celebrating my birthday with my family and receiving a PC monitor as a gift and money for a PC because I absolutely need one for school but can’t afford it, taking initiative to get my prescriptions sorted out and then helping my dog with a wound he has, then finally today I went to a queer organization to donate my binders for people who need them and I felt like I accomplished something good! What a week!
Last night, I had a dream I was at an ambiguous school (as in no freaking clue what grade I was supposed to be in besides I was my current age with current body, I’m a transitioned adult). And there was my primary school bully with her boyfriend. The second she left, her boyfriend revealed himself to be a chaser and started literally physically chasing me 😭.
We went into this kind of creepy super big school basement that honestly looked like an abandoned mine and I kept telling him stuff like “Bro if you’re straight, you can’t be attracted to me, there’s no way a fully straight man would be attracted to this!” and he kept repeating “No, I am straight! I’m attracted to you and I’m still straight! 😈”
I think I ended up just losing him after running fast enough and I ended up wandering through the creepy basement.
It was CRAZY I still feel weird about it 😭. Like I’m not that far along on T but I pretty much fully pass already 💀 also I’m ace and don’t really want a relationship so maybe it was also a manifestation of that. Dreams are so weird, man…
Huge work on mastering the manual zoom, better framing and working on composition, but also learned so much on how to improve post-production this year. The rule of thirds makes such a difference when showing a subject! I think I was scared to make my photos oversaturated because that was a comment I kept getting from one professor until I met more photographers who told me “cranking up the saturation on a picture is good actually, trust your guts and your eyes” and look at this! I actually feel like my photos are getting good!
All of these pictures were taken of the same tree this morning. It’s so beautiful to witness! Being both a druid and a photographer, I want to be able to share all these wonderful details I see people miss or take for granted. Nature is beautifully complex! That tree is a big maple tree with multiple trunks in my backyard, it’s always been my favourite tree. It provides shade in summer to survive the heat but is also probably the biggest source of shelter for various animals in the whole neighborhood due to its sheer size. I often see squirrels and birds come in and out of different holes on various trunks and branches!
Being autistic with some chronic conditions, my energy supply depletes very quickly. The last semester has been pretty rough with group projects and solo projects and I came out of it so completely drained that my physical health took a pretty bad hit. But I am recovering while the trees also recover from the harsh winter. Together we feel a sort of rebirth, on our way to get back to our natural peak. We have to leave our energy saving state to grow our strength back enough to rebuild our supply. I feel so connected to my favourite wooden giants ❤️
