Feeling like I'll never find someone as amazing as him. We only dated a month
I really need to get all of this out so I apologize for the length of this post haha
We broke up on Tuesday, I've cried every day since. We spent so much time together. We met each other's parents, all of our dates were at least 7 hours long, we saw each other like 2-3x a week, he spent the night at my place twice. I guess our relationship was just meant to be a summer thing. I cried while we broke up. He didn't. Lmao that was embarrassing for me. 😭
The longest relationship I've been in was 7 months, but honestly ending things with him were easy. He was very judgey of me and basically made fun of everything I did, and he did things I didn't approve of (smoking, heavy drinking) so I just ended it right there.
But with the guy I just broke up with, he was perfect. He was so smart, funny, so so so unbelievably handsome (sex was AMAZING too, holy shit lol). We had all the same interests, beliefs, he was a genuinely amazing person. He's so kind to everyone and everything around him, the way he talks to other people when we're out in public made me fall in love with him. I cried into his arms about problems I was having with my closest friends, he listened and made me feel so loved in that moment. He was EXACTLY my type, I keep thinking I'll never find someone like him again.
The problem was our conflicting communication styles. I wouldn't hear from him for DAYS. We're also both going back to school (I'm going back halfway across the country). I didn't want to put myself through that stress and anxiety forever. But part of me doesn't care. He was so amazing in person I just wanted to forget about that and stay because everything else about him is so perfect.
I feel so silly for overreacting this much over a month-long relationship. I feel like he definitely isn't reacting this way over me, he's so much more emotionally mature and stable, I feel so jealous.
Since we were into all the same things, every hobby I try to do to distract myself just reminds me of him and I can't do it. He introduced me to my new favorite music genre and every song reminds me of him. I also got into tennis with him, but now when I think of playing I get a churning pit in my stomach. I've lost my appetite and I can barely eat because I miss him so much.
