What's the best car rental company you've personally used in Dubai?

I'm looking for a reliable rental company with transparent pricing and no deposit headaches. Would prefer recommendations based on actual experience rather than ads.

Budget, premium, long-term or short-term — all suggestions are welcome!

Advantage+ Audience or Detailed Targeting Only?

Are you seeing better results with Advantage+ Audience or do you still get more consistent performance using Detailed Targeting only?

Not looking for theory just interested in what's actually working on live accounts.

Has anyone else noticed this happening more often lately?

My NOL card has a valid monthly pass and works fine on the Metro, but on some buses it shows "Card Not Valid".

I've also noticed more people around me having the same issue these days. Is there a problem with some bus readers or is it just a coincidence?

Thinking of gifting newlyweds tickets to teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi – good experience gift?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a wedding gift for a newly married couple and was thinking of giving them tickets to teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi instead of a traditional physical gift.

For those who have visited:

- Is it a good experience for couples?
- How much time do people usually spend there?
- What are the main activities or interactive exhibits?
- Is it something that's memorable and worth gifting?
- Would you prefer an experience gift like this over a regular wedding present?

The couple enjoys travel, art, and unique experiences, so I thought this could be something different and create lasting memories together.

Would love to hear from anyone who has been there or gifted similar experience-based presents.

Thanks!

What's something that instantly tells you someone has lived in the Gulf for years?

Not nationality or how long they've been here.

Just a habit, phrase or behavior that instantly gives it away.

What's the most useful app you've discovered in Dubai?

Besides the obvious ones like Noon, Careem and Google Maps.

What's an app that genuinely made life easier for you in Dubai?

Are Layoffs and Salary Cuts Still Happening in the UAE or Has the Situation Improved?

Hi everyone,

A while back, there were a lot of discussions about layoffs, hiring freezes, and salary cuts across different industries in the UAE.

I wanted to check in and hear some recent experiences.

Has the situation improved now or are companies still doing layoffs and salary reductions?

For those currently working in the UAE:

- Have things become more stable at your workplace recently?
- Are companies hiring actively again?
- Are salary packages improving, staying the same or still being reduced?
- Have you or anyone you know been affected by layoffs recently?

Just trying to understand the current situation and what people are seeing on the ground.

Would appreciate hearing your experiences.

1 Year in Dubai and My Hair Is Thinning – Looking for Natural Solutions

Hi everyone,

I know this question has probably been asked many times before, but I'd really appreciate some fresh advice based on your recent experiences.

I've been living in Dubai for about a year now. When I first arrived, my hair was completely fine, but over the past several months I've noticed gradual hair fall and thinning.

I'm wondering if others have experienced the same thing after moving here. Could it be because of the water, weather, stress, diet changes, or something else?

I would like to prevent further hair loss and keep the hair I currently have. I'm more interested in natural methods rather than medications or chemical treatments.

For those who have managed to reduce hair fall, what worked for you?

- Did installing a shower filter help?
- Any foods, vitamins, or natural remedies that made a difference?
- Any oils or hair care routines you recommend?
- What advice would you give to newcomers to avoid this issue?

Would appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks!

New Expat Here – How Do You Prevent Hair Loss in Dubai Naturally?

Hi everyone,

I know this question has probably been asked many times before, but I'd really appreciate some fresh advice based on your recent experiences.

I'm an expat living in Dubai and I've been here for about 1 year now. When I first arrived, my hair was completely fine, but over the past several months I've noticed gradual hair loss and thinning.

I'm wondering if other expats have experienced the same thing. Could it be because of the water quality, weather, stress, diet changes or something else?

I would really like to prevent further hair loss and keep the hair I currently have. I'm more interested in natural methods rather than chemical treatments or medications.

For those who have successfully managed hair loss in Dubai, what worked for you?

Also, what advice would you give to new expats moving to Dubai to help prevent hair problems from the beginning?

Some questions I have:

- Did installing a shower filter help?
- Are there any foods, vitamins, or natural supplements that made a difference?
- Any natural oils or scalp care routines you recommend?
- How do you protect your hair from the heat and hard water?

I'd appreciate hearing your experiences and recommendations. Thanks in advance!

If you could disable one Google Ads feature forever, what would it be?

Not the worst feature.

The feature you'd permanently remove from the platform tomorrow if Google gave you the option.

Could be a campaign type, recommendation, setting, automation, reporting feature, anything.

What's your pick?

If Google Ads disappeared tomorrow, where would you move your budget first?

- Meta
- Microsoft Ads
- SEO
- LinkedIn
- TikTok
- Reddit
- Snapchat
- Something else?

Assume you're responsible for generating leads or sales and need results as quickly as possible.

I'm curious where most marketers actually have confidence outside of Google.

Are Google Ads reps becoming less useful, or am I just getting older?

Serious question.

Years ago I used to get useful account insights from reps. These days most conversations seem to revolve around broad match, automation and increasing spend.

Has the quality actually changed or is that just my perception?

Mark Zuckerberg admits Meta made "mistakes" during its AI overhaul. Is every company rushing into AI too fast?

Meta spent billions on AI, laid off thousands of employees, moved thousands more into AI-related roles and is now admitting that mistakes were made during the transition. Zuckerberg even said they'll "almost certainly make more" as the AI transformation continues.

It got me thinking...

Right now, it feels like every company is racing to become an "AI company." Teams are being restructured, budgets are shifting and employees are being told to adapt quickly or get left behind.

But are companies making AI decisions based on real business needs or because they don't want to miss the next big thing?

AI is clearly powerful but it seems like a lot of organizations are still figuring out where it actually creates value versus where it's just adding complexity.

Do you think most companies are approaching AI strategically or are we watching another tech gold rush?

Has Anyone Successfully Escalated a Stuck Instagram Appeal?

One of my clients' Instagram business accounts was disabled, and it's been almost 5 months since we appealed. Every time we contact Meta Support, they say a specialized team is reviewing the case, but we haven't received any meaningful update.

Has anyone gone through something similar? Did you eventually get your account back, and if so, how?
