rx-8 doesnt take off fast when i put my foot down on the pedal

hi all! i'm looking at buying an rx-8 and just took it for a test drive. all looks, feels, and sounds right except for the fact that it takes a while to get up to speed with my foot all the way down on the pedal.

it's a 2006 automatic and i believe the exhaust isn't the original due to it not having met road safety compliance due to being too loud, but i am
unsure on what exhaust was replaced. is it likely that the exhaust is constricting it, or is there another issue that could be at play?

just wanted to get my feelers out before i commit to buying. the engine was rebuilt recently and will be getting a compression test before purchasing.

what to do with those pesky cards i cant pin down the meaning of?

ive read many books, watched many videos, done research on all the cards! and i know what they all mean *fundamentally*. but i am really struggling with applying the meaning to real questions and scenarios, like i cant take some of the cards beyond their basic, rigid meanings, and no matter how much i research, i can't seem to understand them contextually.

are there good methods or resources when it comes to actually applying these cards to readings?

(the main ones for me are: the hierophant, the empress, temperance, the moon, four of cups, eight of swords, four of pentacles, six of pentacles - and the court cards)

imposter syndrome

ive never been or considered myself to be spiritual or into tarot, but a couple of weeks ago i suddenly had this pull to learn tarot and its been almost like its something ive known my whole life that was just waiting for me to find it. ive rapidly learned the cards and immediately felt in touch with my intuition when interpreting them. ive even been having frequent dreams of tarot and wake up feeling positively weird about them.

ive only just started, and ive only given 4 readings to friends, and each one of them has cried and said it was super truthful and powerful for them and that i have a gift. but it doesnt feel real and i feel like im pretending. of course i get stuck on some questions (i only started about 3 weeks ago) but it kind of feels like an opposing force is trying to convince me not to invest any more time or energy into this practice because i will never be an authentic reader or live up to the standards of intuitive readers, that im lying to myself, or that its all a facade or coincidence.

i didn't believe in tarot (not explicitly, i was open to the idea) until a few weeks ago when i started reading myself, and ive already had so many coincidences that have just made me a full blown believer. but part of me also feels like thats not real either, and that veil will drop eventually, and ill have wasted my time.

does this go away with time? has anyone else experienced/combatted something similar? do i keep going anyway since im passionate?

how to handle reading conflicting cards, or cards that feel out of context?

tarot newborn here! i always get so confused when i get conflicting cards (cards with contradictory meanings) or cards that i just cant make sense of in context of the question! can you read upright cards with their reversed meanings depending on surrounding cards? what are some different approaches to this?

this is really discouraging me from continuing!

custom tarot decks (or can anyone help me find my dream deck?)

basically im looking for a deck of completely black cards with red foil lineart, similar to this deck (replace the gold with red). id also love a red foil edge on the cards too. does anyone know any decks that might fit that description, or custom manufacturers on etsy or something who may be able to create this deck for me?

a parcel i sent overseas is being redirected back to me (sender) due to incorrect address, but the address is correct?

i run a small business and this morning a buyer messaged me saying the parcel was being sent back to me and provided a screenshot where it stated the return was due to an incorrect delivery address. i then proceeded to confirm the address on the shipping label with the buyer and it was correct. they spoke to the courier service to no avail, apparently the parcel will just get sent back to me. what should i do?

how to deal with boredom/understimulation when pacing?

i have ME, im on the high moderate/low severe end of progression. i have adhd and i just cant pace. i literally exert myself to the point that i am so physically unwell and exhausted that i cant move or have any stimulation whatsoever, and its like torture for me. i havent really found any useful tips for pacing as to not continuously lower my baseline and making myself sicker, but also being aware that understimulation stresses me out!

mecfs care kit ideas!

im making a little care kit/crash cart as my mecfs has gotten worse and i feel like its time to finally monitor my symptoms and make sure that im taking proper care of my body. i have pots and heds too.

the two main things i want to get are a thermometer and an oximeter, and maybe a blood pressure machine. i want to also get some electrolytes, small snacky foods to keep by my bed and a waterbottle that has one of those rubber straws so i dont have to exert myself too much sitting up to drink water, because currently thats causing me to be super dehydrated. cold water is more tolerable for me so i also want to get an insulated cup for when i can sit up to drink.

i wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for what they either use or wish they had, or just general ideas that they think could help? im open to anything!

how should i handle my first bad review?

i sell crochet patterns and before i start selling patterns, i make sure theyve all been tested by other crocheters to make sure theyre as accurate as they can possibly be. i try to explain thoroughly.

i got my first bad review from someone saying "didn't understand the pattern" which broke me. its brought my overall ratings down since i only started up 2 months ago and my shop is still new, i dont have many reviews. i'm scared to reply to the review because i know it cant be changed once i do that but i dont want to just leave it. help!

i was thinking about getting a cycling machine but im not sure how well i'll actually tolerate having to sit up for long periods rather than lay down. does anyone have any exercises that they find isnt too much for their fatigue? im willing to try any of the suggestions

psychologists with short/no waitlists for someone desperate?

ive just been discharged from hospital after spending 3 months there for extreme ocd and i was discharged because i was still getting worse while i was there, but since being discharged i've rapidly gotten worse and im not coping. ive been dropped from my old psychologist because of how long i was in hospital, and i cant seem to find anyone who has a waitlist shorter than 1-2 months which isnt unreasonable at all but i just cant wait that long. does anyone know any psychologists who have immediate intake?

i'm willing to do interstate telehealth if i have to

im so scared of dying ive become suicidal somehow

"fear" of dying is misleading. im absolutely terrified, sure, but i feel like i have this sudden deep gut feeling that im going to die this week. ive stopped saving money, started giving stuff away, done some meaningful things for my family. i just feel like its over for me and i cant shake it. im so young and i dont want to die but i literally cannot stop feeling this way. everything feels weird and different like i've travelled to a parallel universe where everything is unsafe and im guaranteed not to be here anymore. ive been having existential dread and rumination all day long, then night terrors of it, then i wake up with that awful gut feeling of "this is really gonna happen to me". i cant seem to stop worrying that if its going to happen anyway, whether next week or in 80 years, whats the point of waiting around for it? life has lost its meaning. i am living in nothing but distress and dread. nothing matters.

i can somewhat manage physical responses in my body with dbt skills, but the distressing thoughts dont leave no matter what

i cant take it anymore. everyone just suggests nervous system regulation but the distress is just getting worse and worse due to rumination on really distressing thoughts and i dont know how to stop it. ive never been more suicidal (and the distressing thoughts are about death so its making it even worse feeling like i have no options anymore)

i very suddenly developed thanatophobia 3 months ago, and my life has been ruined since.

it came on so suddenly after never thinking about death at all when usa went to war with iran. idk why that was the trigger. but since then ive been having daily panic attacks feeling that life is fragile and pointless and something could happen to me at any moment of any day. its all i can think about, especially the aftermath of dying. how life as i know it will just be gone. i cant even focus on my life at all right now because all i can think about is death. please help me. i feel like my life is over because of this and therapy hasnt helped, it just keeps getting worse

what to do with intuition that im going to die

im terrified of dying and 3 months ago i suddenly got this overwhelming sense of doom that ive never felt before that something was going to happen to me and ive not been able to shake it. its been ruining every aspect of my life and quite literally all i can think about. everything i experience feels tinted in this feeling im going to die.

it doesnt feel like my usual panic and my distress tolerance skills are doing nothing. therapy has done nothing. meds arent really working.
