I always think of Scooby Doo, but I called this Synesthesia Scene, "70s Show".
I wanted a shader playground with audio reactivity, mouse interaction, and drag and drop images and videos. Version 0.6.2 just released.
After a few weeks of development, I just released version 1.2.0 of a WordPress plugin I've been building called BLOKS Shader Display.
The original goal was simple:
I wanted an easy way to embed GLSL shaders into WordPress pages using a shortcode.
But the project kept growing.
Version 1.2.0 now includes:
• Built-in shader library
• Visual shader picker
• Custom GLSL uploads
• Automatic preview generation
• Mobile-friendly lazy loading
• Compatibility with shaders created for my BLOKS Shader Viewer project
One of the features I'm most excited about is the preview system. Upload a shader, click "Generate Preview," and the plugin renders the shader and creates a thumbnail automatically for the visual picker.
It's been a fun project because it sits at the intersection of WordPress, WebGL, creative coding, graphics programming, and UX design.
I'd love feedback from anyone building with GLSL, WebGL, creative coding, or WordPress.
