For context, I only started watching the show proper when Cult was airing and never watched the first six seasons in full (major crime yes I know!). With 13 airing, I thought why not watch the old seasons in between the episodes airing…sooo grateful I am so far! The first episode felt so rushed but by episode three I found myself loving that docustyle pace, and even more by episode five. Hoping the rest of the season is as strong ^^

Shame that the season was so dark and production will most likely never bring anyone back from it, I think Jamal really had the chops to do well in a returnee season.

The way she’s behaving in this season (first time watching) confirms to me Bravo should have fired her after how she discriminated Joyce in S4. I don’t know if the producers were forcing her to do it but her chasing Lisa to attend her housewarming and to go to lunch seemed desperate af. Her throwing wine at Eileen and being an intoxicated mess at Yolanda’s dinner…she was always a mess, but this season she has reached a level of mess where I can’t help but look at her with pity

I know every player said that they’re going back in no matter what this season (as far as I have watched, at least; up to Wardog’s elimination) but is there any reason for a player to not choose the Edge of Extinction route? Like say knowing they would have poor jury management by that point of the game or simply having too much of a mental breakdown, for example?

Kim said it best, he *is* a stubborn old man and everybody else on the show did seem tired of hearing him interfere every time somebody came at Lisa. I can respect the fact he wanted to defend his wife, but there was a way to go about it without calling the other women stupid or classless or in the case of Kim bringing up her alcoholism. I don't remember him being as irritating on S1, but from the start of S2 he has this arrogance about him that needs checked! And I believe he does it because he knows nobody will embarrass him, like the way Nene Leakes checked Peter on Atlanta for getting into Cynthia's fights. Honestly wish the Vanderpumps used this 'attack' on them as a way of pitching VP Rules to Bravo earlier and got outta there...

From an entertainment standpoint, she was surely underedited post-merge which was probably in large part due to her losing that fire challenge. But strategically I would argue she was a solid player and had potential to garner some votes if she made it over Mike! Throughout the post-merge she was usually voting with the majority, several times we saw people come to her to get her vote whenever needed and she was pretty solid in challenges. Besides Nick I think she was genuinely the strongest player in that final four from a deserving of a win standpoint. Would have loved to see her on 50 but hope she can get a return on a future season!

Pretty unflattering cast photo aside, Janice is winding these housemates up as much as the other mentioned celebrities that have gone on to be talked about to this day from this era of CBB. Even Farrah I feel like is mentioned the most out of this season, yet Janice (so far on my first watch) is causing as much drama as her if not more. Her faking an attack after a bee stung her cracked me up!

I looked it up and saw that she ends up closing the store she opened in these seasons a few years after and opens another one, which I hope she promotes better in those future seasons than the one here lol.

We first ever hear of it at its opening during the S3 finale, which was a huge miss for her to build up interest in it over the season and make building it a part of her storyline. Then in S4 so far (episode 6), she takes Carlton to another store instead of her own for a shopping haul. Girl you should be taking her to your own boutique, and even make her put in a generous donation! Maybe I’m just used to Kandi milking the life out of her businesses for the cameras on Atlanta, but I would hope Adrienne taught Kyle some better business moves for backing her up in Hoofgate 😭

Their separation was a terrible thing for both them and their kids I’m sure, but I just find it sooo…peculiar?? She shows up, doesn’t even acknowledge Lisa who is hosting the party, gathers all her close friends to support her and leaves. I need RH shows to have this type of dramatics again lol

My hope: with TLT we get a fourth reinstatement of a now repaired Dalaran as our hub and a projected image of Kelthuzad pre-undeath or Rhonin pops up and helps us through delves

My realistic prediction: Orweyna as a Druid

Could be any set from the tribal council setting to a challenge you thought was well designed, most unique etc. My example happens to be the Maze labyrinth from Ghost Island which I found really impressive considering the amount of effort and time put into making it!

For some reason I feel stupid or silly, because playing through the first stages of the quest I thought “hmm…they might show parts of Dea’s corpse in a close-up so that it is not as graphic” and the botchling will resemble more of a ghoul. But when the shot changed to that baby crawling on the floor…wow. I actually enjoyed the fact that they chose to fully depict a botchling as a baby corpse because it emphasises the impact of the trauma the Baron inflicted upon his family and materialises it in physical form. Still my poor mind cannot get the image out of my head, it’s so creepy! 😅

Brandi is utterly despicable in my opinion for trying to air something so personal out and I don't blame Adrienne for threatening lawsuits and not attending the reunion over this because, if true that Brandi indeed was trying to talk about Adrienne using a surrogate, then I don't think this is a topic that mattered to us the audience within the context of their feud. As title says, in my opinion it boils down to Adrienne not being a Nene/Bethenny/Lisa type of housewife; Andy and the executives just love those one-liner, dynamic cast members so much especially because they proved to be fan favourites in that age of the franchise. From what I understand (I didn't watch back then), Adrienne just really wasn't in that league? So she was more dispensable then the aforementioned names who I am sure threatened to sue plenty of times too!

To see this thumbnail and remember this episode, recollecting how torn down and down on herself she was at that point of the show, only to be probably the girl from all the gens of DM to be most booked…it feels right. She deserves the world for putting up with Kira

I was watching the episode where Yolanda invites all the ladies over for the first time and oof…I am still taken aback by how much of a menace he seemed! Talking about how a “proper” woman needs to know good housekeeping and take care of the man and guests, told the housewives to not sing with his friends in the room (whilst he is on their show, mind you!) and the flashy grammys on the piano….of course Yolanda defended him telling the women to be quiet whilst he’s playing for them, wouldn’t expect anything else from miss LA: Lemon and Almonds. He sure did act entitled for someone who last had a massive hit in the 90s

I’m finishing HvHvH and I’m at the point of him using his idol to play out the core four alliance and taking out Dr. Mike as a result. It was a good move, but I think the suspense of him playing that idol as a viewer was reduced by us seeing him get that idol earlier in the episode.

I believe it was in Guatemala where Gary was shown searching for the idol along with everyone else in camp but we were not sure if he got that idol until he played it at Tribal. Honestly, in moments like Ben’s third idol play, editing the narrative that way would make it even more impactful to watch him disrupt a majority alliance’s plans! There are definitely other seasons where the narrative was the same, and there are other shows like the Traitors where I saw fans of the show say they want to know less as the audience too. In the case of Survivor, we would still see the montage of the people looking for the idol and the stereotypical “i need this idol” confessional, it’s just that that cathartic shot of them actually getting it would be saved for after tribal, perhaps in flashback.

Idk do other people think this would be a good idea? Whilst I think it is more effective, I get that there is the potential that it was the audience response to Gary’s idol play that made the editors re-think how they show people get their idols.

I specifically mean the 10-60 EK and Kalimdor questing zones; whilst I like the Cata 80-85 zones, I don’t think they made as permanent a mark as the former.

I am also really thinking of zones like the Stonetalon Mountains, Ashenvale or Silverpine Forest in particular when I say this. At least from the Horde’s POV, these zones do so much to establish your fraction’s identity, continue lore with iconic characters of your side like Garrosh or Sylvanas, and are good at maintaining high stakes without a world-ending threat who changes twenty years of lore as the Jailer or Xal have.
