Trailer feedback

I'm planning to announce the release date of my game with a (slightly) updated trailer, and I'd love to get some feedback on the current one.

What do you think I should add or remove? Thank you!

I'm making the rock band management game I always wanted to play

For a long, long time I wanted to make a rock band management game. Now, more than two years later I'm getting close to finishing it!

It has been a long and lonely journey, but I've created the game I always dreamed of making and playing. I've done everything myself, including the pixel art, and I'm incredibly lucky to have some cool rock bands contribute their music to the game.

Here is my Steam page:

Takk for feedback!

Hei!

Tusen takk, r/Norge :-)

Just released the demo of my rock band manager game

Hi, I hope it's okay to post here. Two years ago, I started working on a video game about a rock band and I've finally released the demo.

Since I don't have the skills to compose music myself or the budget to license it, I reached out to various bands and asked if I could use their music in the game. Luckily, almost all of them liked the project and agreed, and a few bands even contacted me themselves after hearing about it.

You can hear music from bands such as Yoth Iria, Slomosa, Sibiir, Svölk, Dekonstructor, Eyes of Disaster, and others in the game.

Would love to hear what you think. Link on comments.

Just released the demo of my Rock band manager game

I hope it's ok to post here. I've just released a demo of my new indie game, also on Linux. You can check it out on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4227560/Legends_of_Rock/

I use Windows, but a friend of mine tested the Linux version and everything seemed to work fine. Still, please let me know if you run into any issues. Thanks a lot! :)

The demo for my time-management game inspired by Jones in the Fast Lane is now out!

Two years ago, I wanted to make a game in the style of Jones, but with rock music theme. Then I started to add other features, and now the demo is out there!

You start as a broke musician, and each day you choose how to spend your time. You will need to balance songwriting, rehearsals and playing gigs while holding down a day job to pay the bills, while surviving on instant noodles.

Legends of Rock just passed 2500 wishlists! If you wanna check it out, it's a part of Steam Next Fest this week:

Launching the demo of my solo project tomorrow!

I've been working on a game about starting out as a broke musician. You build a band, write songs, rehearse, play gigs, and try to keep up with everyday expenses while chasing your rockstar dream.

Publisher using AI art

I was approached by a few publishers, and when I researched them, I found that one of them had games and bundles using generic AI-generated capsule art (which I personally find quite ugly). To me, that's a red flag, but am I being too idealistic? Should I be more open-minded and accept that this is simply part of the industry's new reality?

How creative are you with promoting your game?

Hi! I haven't used any particularly creative or unusual marketing strategies. The only thing I do (and can afford) is post GIFs and screenshots from the game on social media, which gives very random results and where I can't find any reasonable pattern.

Still, I've managed to get almost 2500 wishlists since I released the Steam page in February.

I gave up on contacting Youtubers - I guess my game is the "wrong" genre for them, and it feels like much work for absolutely no result.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
