Messing around with key caps between my 8bitdo keebs

These are the IBM and c64 editions.

3rd and 4th photos are how they originally look like.

Ignore the 2nd photo it looks hideous I know.

The red and blue keycaps are from my keychron V1 max though.

So far I own these 3 mechanical keyboards. I was worried i would impulsively buy a 4th one lol so I said let’s just play with the keycaps.

I wanted some green keycaps but couldn’t find a colour I liked.

Finally decided to pick up the 11” iPad Pro M5 1tb (Cellular)

+ the Apple Pencil Pro.

I got them both for approximately $1,937 in total. Is that considered a good deal? I was offered a discount on each item on check out.

I feel maybe 1tb/16gb is overkill (wanted to settle for 512gb but worried I’d need the extra storage in the future) I only just received it a few days ago and haven’t done anything with it besides install procreate.

I am waiting to receive my paperlike screen protector and pen grip. I’m not so comfortable with the zugu case as it’s a bit heavy but I got it because I wanted to keep my ipad secure since I unboxed it. I want a lightweight case that’s comfortable for drawing, anyone tried the paper like bumper case?

I haven’t owned an iPad since almost two decades ago. I’ve just been using MBPs and iPhones.

What ways do you suggest I could use it to its full potential? I don’t intend for it to replace my MBP. But I want to make the best use of it and test its limits. Any must have apps you suggest having?

.

Help me decide between M4 vs M5

I know I want 11-inch and cellular, and preferably 1TB to get 16gb ram.

If i’m lowering to 512GB, then I’d go with M5 as it has at least 12gb ram.

Also for people who use heavy RAM apps, is 12gb ram doing ok?

Last time I owned an iPad was in 2010 or so, so I want this purchase to be worthwhile.

EDIT:

So i’m between 11-inch M5 cellular 512GB 12ram

Or

11-inch M5 cellular 1TB 16gb ram

I stupidly applied magnesium gel on my face

I forgot it can harm facial skin. I put it on to relax my tensed facial muscles.

I noticed after a couple days that my skin looks dull and different (especially my cheeks). I can’t describe how it looks as I don’t have the right words but my skin looked clear and youthful before. I think the “pores” might have been affected?

I’m using a gentle cleanser now and moisturiser and some Vaseline to reverse any damage done.

Is there anything else I can do?

And is this serious or unrecoverable?

It’s upsetting how people are bullying Elliot Page

I’m not even a fan or follow him. You can be against transness and remain civil but these people are being unnecessarily mean especially on X/twitter. They keep reposting videos of him in “the odyssey” premiere and say awful shit. The thing is I’ve seen dozens of ftms online who pass as cis and look so much better than him, but it’s cuz he’s a “Hollywood actor” transphobes are using him as a reason to express their hate.

I didn’t expect that I’d actually look up this sub just to write this

I’ve definitely had worse/more painful periods before. But I’m honestly so fucking tired and fed up dealing with fucking period cramps. I’m actually pissed rn I could cry. It’s Saturday night and I just wanna have a peaceful evening in bed but NO!!! Have to endure my stomach and back hurting like a bitch. And ibuprofen is somehow not even working. I hope all women go to heaven for enduring this bloody shitty fucking monthly process.

It doesn’t help that my cycle was about 30 days for a couple years now and since taking a few fucking ashwaganda pills like two months ago I’ve been getting my periods like a week earlier (i hope it reverts back to how it was cuz I don’t want to deal with this same shit “every couple weeks”).

Do you ever worry about access?

I’m speaking very generally (e.g.: in relevance to where you live and transgender rights across the globe)

I personally live where there is no such thing as “transgender healthcare” or “gender-affirming healthcare”

So transitioning for me means moving to a different country where that is accessible. I haven’t completely ruled out that possibility. Because maybe, just “maybe”, that life is meant for me. So I’m not “pessimistic” about it, I just try to keep my feelings neutral.

But as for people who actually can begin this process. Do you ever worry about losing access to medically prescribed T? I personally wouldn’t want to start T and having it suddenly become “inaccessible/illegal” and be forced to detransition after having permanent changes happen to my body. Actually, the things that can revert back are the things that I’m truly dysphoric about, such as “fat redistribution”. That is the most thing that bothers me about my body right now. And having my voice be masculinised (like passable as male) “forever” while my body looks “female” because of fat re-redistribution with breasts no longer being there would be a nightmare. I would have preferred if fat redistribution was permanent and could deal with the other things reverting back.

There are meds you know will stay around forever, such as paracetamol. But who can guarantee that testosterone and oestrogen will always be available for transgender people even in countries that currently allow it?

Anyway, this thought always comes to my mind. And wondered if you felt the same.

Do you intentionally stay on a low dose to achieve this look?

I’m AFAB. I didn’t even know this sub existed 😧😦🫥🤯🤔🧐🤔🤔or that “MtFbutch” was a thing.

Anyway, I’m genuinely wondering, is that what some of you do? Or do you go full on E and still manage to keep that androgynous look because of genetics?

Is it still challenging getting clothes that “fit” you from the men’s section after transitioning without “tailoring”?

Asking as a 5’4/163cm person. (Pre T, but i’m curious)

I like to dress 100% masculinely. I can’t count the number of times I saw a shirt/t-shirt/jacket/blazer and was like 😍i want to wear this, then go to the fitting room and laugh at the tragedy lol.

But “some” pieces can fit me depending on the size. I also have a suit i bought from a men’s brand and it fit me (its size was a “slim fit”) but they had to tailor it to shorten the sleeves and pants. But unfortunately, just a little fat gain in my butt/hips can completely ruin the fit.

For those of you who have transitioned and achieved fat redistribution. what clothing pieces (from the men’s section) did you notice are easier to fit you now (without tailoring) compared to pre transitioning? Especially for dudes my height.

What can I possibly do to stop clenching?

Hey lovely people:

First of all I want to say I empathise with you all, as I have my own kind of suffering as well.

I don’t have TMJ pain, but I have a recessed jaw and a clenching issue which has contributed to further worsening my recession/bite according to one very experienced/trusted jaw surgeon I consulted with in the states. My past “very poorly constructed” orthodontic treatment has even exacerbated this issue and the surgeon agreed, but he emphasised that the “clenching” is an “equal” culprit in this. My facial skeletal structure has changed and my maxilla + mandible have moved and don’t look like how they were positioned before.

He did scans and said I don’t have TMJ, but said that if the clenching is not controlled, even DJS might not completely solve the problem or a relapse could “possibly” happen. (But as for DJS itself, he said I 100% need it. I’m severely recessed in both jaws and I consulted many surgeons and they all agreed, and I strongly agree with them too. They also mentioned that I need “maxillary down-fracture” and a “bone graft”).

Unfortunately, I still don’t have a surgery scheduled because I don’t reside where my preferred surgeons are, and starting the treatment where I currently live is not something I intend to do. Doing ortho where I live and “traveling” for surgery then coming back post surgery for ortho is not something that suits me either (and even orthodontists where I currently reside aren’t supportive or willing to work with a jaw surgeon abroad, it’s not a policy they agree to at all, even though I read experiences from people from other countries who did this with no issues, but for some reason it’s not something ortho docs are comfortable with where I live).

I’ve been in agony about this for a few years now. Because I want to “start” my treatment, but that means I have to “move” abroad for my whole treatment. And simply “moving” is not something I can do immediately lol, I have to have a plan.

I’ve been prescribed clonazepam for the clenching (according to his recommendation). It does significantly help. Although it’s not a long term solution, and I know I can’t do this “long term”, but at times I honestly can’t find any other solution (and I feel guilty/worried about it because I’d rather have this medication for emergencies).

I haven’t ever looked into dental botox and I have concerns about it, because I don’t want to negatively affect or ruin my facial muscles in any way. I might be ignorant in this topic though, as I never discussed it with a doctor.

One thing that helped significantly reduce the clenching is quitting coffee completely (i used to drink it a-lot without ever realising it made me clench severely ). I often feel puzzled how normal people drink it all the time and they have no issues with their jaws? And since I’ve become aware of the clenching, I noticed even tea, hot chocolate, pepsi/coke, and certain types of soft drinks that aren’t even “labeled” as “caffeinated” can seriously cause me to clench too? And trust me it’s not “in my head” I KNOW when my jaw is relaxed and when is it clenching. I’ve learned how my facial muscles feel since I’ve started seeing doctors and understanding what my issue is.

Lately (for the past two weeks or so) I’ve been drinking iced matcha a-lot! Never tried it before and I love it! It isn’t as strong as coffee but it “still” causes clenching. And I know I have to stop drinking it if I want to avoid/control my clenching. :(

Now, here’s another DILEMMA! I’m diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed stimulants. Non-stimulants don’t help and I had an undesirable side effect from one so I’d rather just take stimulants.

I don’t take stimulants daily. But when I do, I clench like CRAZY! And then have to take them with “clonazepam”. It’s a never ending circle of wanting to stop clenching and being forced to every now and then and having to rely on benzos again.

Also just to be clear, my clenching doesn’t just happen at “night”. I clench while awake and anytime during the day. The surgeon I mentioned above said he is against “mouth guards”, especially for my case, as that would cause me to bite on something even more.

I have some supplements people say help reduce clenching, like magnesium glycinate. But honestly it does nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️I don’t notice a difference, and if I just decide to drink anything with caffeine just for “a day” I would clench immediately.

Anyway, would be helpful if you have any advice to share about this. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Edited for more clarifying info.

Question for pre T guys!

My main source of dysphoria is my butt (that’s basically where all my “fat” is stored. Also my hips+ upper thighs) I’m skinny everywhere else (i like my shoulders, arms, lower thighs, legs, and appreciate my slim waste). I have a slender bone structure. I’m 163cm and 56kg (5’4 and 123). I wasn’t as dysphoric when I was 45-49kg (99-108 pounds) because I basically had no “womanly features”. I was “naturally” (NOT INTENTIONALLY) “underweight”. Now my weight is healthy, but I can’t stand having a butt or hips and I feel extremely uncomfortable about it.

Gender affirming care is non existent where I currently am, and it’s not possible for me to start transitioning (right now).

Obviously I can’t “starve” myself. Back then my body didn’t need much food, but my appetite has increased as i got older.

Tbh I don’t exercise much. I have a walking pad but I don’t do much cardio (guilty, I know). I have some weights too and a workout bench at home but I don’t have a workout out plan.

But what can I possibly do to lose my butt fat?

163cm and 56kg (5’4 and 123)

This is my height and weight.

Guys, how would a guy with this height and weight typically look like?

I know everyone’s body frame/bone structure is different

But I want to know the kind of bodies different guys have with this height.

Please share your pics or something (hide your face if you want) or write a description

I don’t want to look like a ‘’masc lesbian”

I’m pre T (never been on T)

Right now I look 100% like a girl (i can’t imagine ever passing on T but that’s a different story as neither you or I could predict that)

I’m kinda “naturally” feminine. But If I ever transitioned, I want to look like a “guy”. I don’t know if I can pull off a short haircut, I always was insecure about it because my head is small and I kept my hair long cuz it suits me best. I don’t mind having longer hair as a man but I want to “pass” as a man even if i had feminine features.

But my nightmare would be if I looked like the typical “masc butch” on T. I’m into women, but I don’t like the masc butch look, neither on me nor my partner.

The reason I fear this is because most ftms I see here looked masculine pre transition. So it was very likely that they’d pass on T. But for me I have a slim figure, tiny facial features and honestly can’t picture myself passing as a guy lol. The only advantage I have is that I’m quite hairy (already have hair on my thighs, legs, forearms and very thick dark eyebrows - cuz of my middle eastern genes lol). But I feel my bone structure is very feminine. My torso is so slim. I know T changes your physique but every time I look at ftm photos/videos I feel these guys already had a bigger frame than mine so it helped them to pass. I’m 163cm / 5’4 btw.

I thought to post some dull photos as ya’ll must be tired of all the “awesome” setups in your feed :p

The bookcases are not fixed on the walls yet as i’m just placing them around randomly to figure where they fit best. I’m still figuring out how to make this room into a cozy “little” living room area + home office combo. The small bookcase in the last photo is placed outside this room but I might put it beside the desk instead of the big one. I thought of changing the desk’s direction facing the “living area” but I’d hate how the back of monitor would be exposed. Anyway it’s still a work in progress. Feel free to suggest your preferred layouts based on this room’s dimensions

Got a AOC U27G3X for $320/ £239.

Worth it?

Will use it with my MBP.

I currently mainly use a Gigabyte M27UA. But wanted another monitor to place elsewhere (won’t be using them together)

Did I make a good choice?

Help me decide - I noticed there is barely any reviews of this Lenovo monitor, so I'm hesitant about it.

Lenovo Legion 27 Inch Dual Mode 4K 160Hz FHD 320Hz 0.5MS IPS

VS

Gigabyte M27UP 27" 4K UHD, 160Hz, 1ms, HDMI 2.1 IPS

Btw I don't really care for dual mode, but these are the affordable 4k 27" 160hz ones I found available.

This is an option too AOC U27G3X

Also I own a Gigabyte M27UA and it works well with my MBP, I would've gotten it again but it's out of stock, only the M27UP model is available.

let me know what you think
