Tired of the deception.

They think we're idiots with this bs packaging. Clearly you would think there were two rows behind the labeling, but this is purposefully deceptive.

Anyone else getting hollow sundaes now?

Ordered a sundae today at southern Costco and found it was completely hollow in the middle see pics. Is this some new serving method or did I just get unlucky?

I've been financially taken advantage of by my ex-wife who has gone on long-term disability.

I want to offer a cautionary tale for those who are going through divorce or will be in the future.

My ex makes 15k less than me annually, but she demanded child support even though our kids have 50/50 custody. I agreed, and I have been paying this without issue for the past three years. She recently went on long-term disability (LTD) and ended up making 10k+ less than last year, and she was on this for four months of last year. This nearly doubled my child support payments and come next year when she's been off work for a full year; it could double again. Keep in mind that two weeks of the month is what she's receiving money for. She spends all of her time thrifting and upselling. She worked for a bank and her disability has nothing to do with her mobility, but a thyroid issue. I have been very supportive of her when she needs help with something, and there was little to no bitterness. When she went on disability, I falsely believed the line in the separation agreement stated we are no entitled to each other's fortunes or misfortunes, post-divorce. The support payments are based on what we each grossed from the previous year, then you minus the support amounts against each other, and what remains is what is paid. She was getting roughly $200 per month, and now it will be close to $400, with next year potentially being 600+. She admits her financial situation has not been negatively impacted by being on LTD, and she feels very entitled to my money regardless of needing it or not.

I suggested to her that the child support payments remain the same from when she was working, just as it does with alimony (thank God I don't pay alimony), but she thinks it's fair that I basically subsidize her lack of income.

I am sure there will be people to disagree with me or tell me that it could be so much worse, but what's wrong is wrong. She is planning lots of trips with the kids, she has regular Amazon crap being delivered each week, and I am just watching my money get burned in front of me. My children may think their dad is poor at managing money (which she has told them in the past), or that I am cheap and boring for not taking them on similar trips that their mom does.

She could be on LTD until my youngest is of age, and I am out thousands of dollars to subsidize her. Also, I should note the nurse practitioner signing her LTD forms is her friend, which doesn't hurt her ability to take advantage of the system. She's primarily off work for stress and thyroid issues, and again she spends her time in thrift shops, hardly ever leaving her house otherwise.

My advice for anyone getting divorced/legally separated, is to ensure there is details in the agreement that states something along the lines of support payments remaining the same from the time the ex-spouse was fully employed for a year. The agreement we signed is quite iron clad, and it would cost more than it's worth to amend it, but it's also doubtful a court would rule in my favor at this point.

This guy in my apartment complex parks like this every single day

Limited parking already, and this Range Rover consistently takes up two spots while everyone else parks normally. Not a one-time bad park either; this is daily behavior. I genuinely don’t understand the entitlement.
