Why (actually) can't we swear on the radio?
EDIT: I meant swear words in songs themselves, not swearing in general
With Canada permitting F-bombs, even Ireland not having laws (?) on swear words, and even the most english-fluent of european countries preferring the explicit versions at all times. I'm wondering why we cannot do the same. Google searches say said countries allow it because artistic freedom is prioritised, so why must in europe, ONLY the UK have to go the maximum protect-kids way, when no one else in the world besides the US (correct if wrong) does the same?
Even Australia, some radios can have swears in songs during the day. Meanwhile we have to here the most terribly spliced of edits. Makes it unlistenable.
JDM VM Sharan with unusual (VW?) touchscreen somewhere in Russia, also has original red flare, but clearly has stuck navigation (Source: FP Driving on YouTube)
I am surprised the screen behind the steering wheel is in Russian (the central screen English but no Russian map).
Praising 6 Music for playing very long songs in full.
I come to some of the past shows on BBC Sounds, and shocked to see how they can play 5-6 minute long songs with no cut short.
Meanwhile on Radio 1, their supposedly main station i guess, they are slowly rolling out "only 2 choruses" edits to more and more current songs, on their regular, non-anthems programming. And when this happens, you never hear it in full unless on rare occasions.
Where's My Phone? by Mitski loses half of the epic "ha ha ha" instrumental after verse 2 on R1, but in R6 they kept it in full. Only 15 seconds lost, so nice R6M actually bothered to keep it in! Yet to test with more songs but doubt its much of an issue.
Now UK needs to legalise swear words, like almost the entire world does.
Anyone notice how BBC Radio 1 is cutting more and more of the recent songs short?
Completely unrelated to my other post about R1 anthems, but ive noticed with some songs they seem to like cutting the same parts out every time they play them, ive heard only 2 of 3 choruses on holly humberstone's white noise and the new harry styles' dance no more loses half of its last chorus (the song is only 3:15 in full). I dont care if these are official radio edits (doubt the case with the HH song). They play longer songs fine and this is ad free radio!
Also a bit older now but for christ sake please STOP cutting the entire verse 2/chorus (50 seconds) of sabrina carpenter's manchild (surprisingly they kept it in a few days ago) and DO NOT cut the last quarter of fred again's adore u its sounds better than the rest of the song! (its only 45 seconds, full version heard on R1 Dance)
Why are updates so delayed on Android? And why do they update the previous 1 version instead of giving me latest
Please correct any misinformation here but if you look on apk websites they still provide updates for the previous 1 version. This is the channel my phone is on too as even if I update Chrome from play store or it says up to date, my version is still 1 behind on the about screen. Why is there even an ESR channel on android of all things? I am on android 16, chrome 150 but 151 came out days ago now
It seems most other phones in the house get the update ASAP but I just get the extended updates for the previous version all the time, menaing I miss out on new features
Any idea where this American Ambulance came from?
Saw this outside Addenbrooke’s and thought it was interesting. Is there a US army base near Cambridge?
Microsoft has one again (for like the 3rd or 4th time) removed the toggle for the new look, the icons are too small on the legacy version, months later, how is this not in stable yet?
All of a sudden giant thumbnails after entering full screen, even if i exit again, why cant it just be consistent? Need to completely refresh to fix it and only happens on certain videos like these square thumbnail ones.

No one talks how broken signalling is?
Stuff has been broken for YEARS and every update doesnt fix it!
- Map deloads after being in camera for too long
- Using the buttons to turn the camera round (in signal camera), half the time the camera immediately snaps back to the first position if you click the blue rotate button.
- Zone 10 has static yellow (instead of flashing) platform TRTS markers and no arrows to warn of TRTS at stations off your screen

Stop breaking VM0b0t, or remove it
Honestly cant even use it even for a minute without the same person (of multiple people) making it unbootable. I am not against anything the theme of the VM represents, but I do not see the point having it if people are deleting all packages or preventing it from starting every 5 minutes.
No world cup celebration doodle in the UK :(
So they launched it in pretty much the entire world, the british overseas territories and even most of africa, but in the UK its the blank/default one. Looking at the map on the doodles website confirms this was intentional.
What versions of big TV channels air in Malta?
UK here on holiday and a minor TV enthusiast, and im just wondering what if you go onto a big brand channel like Food Network, MTV, Discovery, FX, History or TLC etc. (But via an maltese carrier such as melita, GO or epic). What version do you get? Is it in English or some european language like italian, (well aware many italian channels are carried officially). Im also aware that many channels have "global" feeds too.
But on our hotel TV, stuff like MTV and Eurosport are in german language complete with the accept cookie signs and stuff, even though im sure those have english versions. And the downstairs lobby TV also has the music version of MTV but it has US age ratings, time zones and adverts for injury law firms in dollars. (And even channels that are straight up not available such as Sky Sports). How do they do this? Are these just airing from the wrong country via IPTV or Satellite? Is this legal?
