Many of you asking for itinerary, during our trip we had created an itinerary we have missed some of them but covered mostly. You can refer to it and create your own itinerary. We Visited Khasi Hills so this is a itinerary of Khasi hills.

Route Strategy (No Backtracking)

Guwahati → Shillong → Bamboo Trek → Cherrapunji → Nongriat Village → Dawki → Mawlynnong Village → Shillong → Guwahati

📅 Day 1: Guwahati → Shillong

Drive up; stop at Umiam Lake

Evening in Police Bazaar

Stay: Shillong (central)

Tips: Try to stay near police baazar.

📅 Day 2: Bamboo Trek → Transfer to Sohra

Early start for Mawrynkhang Trek (3–5 hrs)

⚠️ Few Tips for travelling:

Bamboo Trek + Double Decker = physically exhausting (good shoes essential)

Wei Sawdong / Phe Phe = steep, sometimes slippery

Best time to visit is Monsoon (Jun–Sep) = best waterfalls, but tougher treks

Some of the waterfalls might be covered in fog but if lucky you will get the best view

Get best local driver for easy travel and tips

Carry cash most of the places have entry fee

Carry offline maps (network patchy)

Carry biscuits & cake or fruits or dry food

Carry ORS mainly for Double Decker trek
