Does anyone else feel nervous?

I’m taking ACCT 301B, ACCT 308, ECON 315, ISDS361B, MGMT339, and also working part-time at 25 hours a week. Am I cooked?

Should I Take Out an Additional $5,000 in Student Loans to Focus on School?

I currently have about $8,000 in subsidized student loans, and I’m considering taking out an additional $5,000 to help cover my living expenses so I can leave my part-time job and focus on school. I’m taking 15 units this semester, including three fairly difficult classes, while also working 20–25 hours a week, and it’s becoming difficult to balance everything.
I’m thinking it may be better to prioritize school for the fall semester and then use the income from my winter/spring internship to start paying down the loans. The internship should pay around $40 an hour, so I’d have a much better opportunity to reduce the loan balance once I’m working those hours.

AITA for trying to force my 30-year-old brother to become independent?

My brother is 30 years old. He never went to college, never got his driver's license, almost failed 12th grade, has only a high school diploma, and has barely worked. He spent most of his adult life playing video games. He's a bit socially awkward and may be on the autism spectrum, but he's absolutely capable of going to college, learning a trade, or holding a job. In fact, he worked at Walmart for about a year before he stopped showing up and quit.

My dad and I have been carrying him for years. I constantly have to clean up after him, and it's been exhausting. Our family has gone through serious financial hardship. My dad lost our house after his business partner scammed him, and now the three of us live in a one-bedroom apartment. It's so cramped that my dad sleeps at his office most nights. We're barely staying afloat financially, and I contribute my share to help keep us going.

The reality is that my dad isn't going to be able to support my brother forever. Since my dad has mostly given up trying to motivate him, I feel like someone has to. He's my brother, and I don't want to watch him waste the rest of his life.

To push him toward becoming independent, I've started charging him rent, with the money going to my dad once he has income. Since he quit Walmart and refuses to look for work, I've also done things like disconnect the Wi-Fi and tell him we couldn't afford the bill, or say we couldn't do Taco Tuesday because money was tight. While those statements aren't entirely true, we are genuinely struggling financially, and I hoped removing some comforts would motivate him to get a job.

My goal isn't to punish him or be cruel. I'm trying to get him to work, build a career, save money, contribute to the household, and prepare for a future where my dad can no longer support him.

My aunt says I shouldn't lie to him or try to force him to change, and that I should leave him alone. I understand her point, but I also don't think ignoring the situation is helping anyone. I genuinely want my brother to become independent before it's too late.

Long story short: My brother is 30, capable of working, but has spent years unemployed and dependent on my dad, who can no longer afford to support him after our family fell on hard times. I've been using things like turning off the Wi-Fi and emphasizing our financial struggles to motivate him to get a job and become independent, but my aunt thinks I should stop trying to push him and leave him alone. Am I the asshole here?

Having trouble logging into my profile

I'm having trouble logging into my account. I created a profile, but when I click "Forgot Password," I never receive a password reset email. I've already checked my inbox and spam folder.

Does anyone happen to have a phone number for support that they can share?

I also tried deleting my browser history and cookies, but that didn't solve the problem. If I can't get back into my account, I may have to create a new Gmail account.

Why do people say to hit the gym when you are depressed?

I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but why do people always recommend going to the gym when someone is depressed or feeling sad? People often act like going to the gym is the cure for depression, but it really isn’t. It does help though to a certain extent.

Should I write a "Thank You" email after my interview?

I’d like to send a thank-you email to the managers I interviewed with, but I didn’t receive their email addresses. Is it okay to ask HR if they can share their contact information so I can thank them?

How do you manage your time better mid to late game?

I'm struggling to find the right balance between grouping with my team and farming. I noticed that I waste a lot of time during the mid to late game because I prioritize grouping instead of catching waves or farming camps. In my last game, the enemy ADC started 0–6 but spent the mid and late game farming, eventually scaling and carrying the game, even though all of our lanes had won. Meanwhile, I focused almost entirely on grouping and teamfighting. Should I have prioritized farming more instead of constantly grouping?

How can I stop saving and start investing?

I'm trying to shift my mindset from simply saving my paycheck to actually investing it. I'm a senior in college, and I know that starting to invest now would allow me to take advantage of compound growth over time. The challenge is that every time I get paid, I leave the money sitting in my checking account because it feels "safer." While I tell myself I'm saving, I also know that cash loses purchasing power over time because of inflation.

I keep setting milestones before I'll allow myself to invest. At first, I told myself I'd start once I had $10,000 saved. Then that goal became $15,000, and I realize I'll probably keep moving the goalposts if I don't change my approach. I'm very disciplined when it comes to saving and living below my means, but I need to develop the same discipline when it comes to investing. I want to shift my mindset from viewing investing as giving up my money to seeing it as putting my money to work for my future instead of letting it sit idle in my checking account. I think it is because we didn't have much growing up.

How can people develop reasoning and problem-solving skills?

I've been wondering how people train their brains to become better at figuring things out on their own. Sometimes I struggle just to follow instructions, and I often have to look things up on Google or watch YouTube tutorials to understand what to do.

Then I think about incredible achievements like the SR-71 Blackbird, the Apollo moon missions, the development of AI, or how NVIDIA started by designing graphics processors. How did the people behind these breakthroughs figure things out? Before the internet existed, there were no YouTube tutorials or forums to guide them. How did they solve problems that no one had solved before?

It makes me wonder what separates people who invent new technologies from people like me, who sometimes struggle with tasks that already have step-by-step instructions. If I have a hard time figuring out simple things that are already documented, how can I ever hope to solve problems that no one has solved yet? Is this something you can actually train, or is it just a natural talent that some people are born with? Am I just dumb?

Should I take ACCT 301B/ ACCT 302 or ACCT 301B/ ACCT 308?

I am currently enrolled with Sophia Wang for ACCT 302, but she told me to not take ACCT 301B with 302. So I am thinking of taking ACCT 301B with ACCT 308 with William Nicely. Any thoughts? My professor for ACCT 301B is with Wonik Choi.

I get yelled at work giving me anxiety

It is only been 1 month at my new job, and my direct manager yells at me whenever I make a mistake or don't understand a concept. Co-workers say this is normal behavior. Should I leave?
