What language is this?

This is from a shirt that I bought in a thrift store. I can read cyrillic and to me it sounds kind of German? Google translate goes crazy and doesn't really help.

Thrifting, young people and some general stuff

Hello. I will be visint Taiwan very soon and I will spend most of my time in Taipei. I love thrifting so I thought about trying it out in Taiwan. I have some questions:

  1. Would any of you share some thrifting spots with me? lol
  2. Is it generally acceptable to walk up to young people and ask them to hang out? I don't want to share my age but I am below the age of 24 and traveling solo, so I would like to spend some time with people who know the city.

Thrifting in Taiwan

Hello! I will be visiting Taiwan very soon and I am an avid thrifter here in Europe. How is thrifting culture in Taiwan? Where can I find the best thrift stores? Are any locals willing to DM me some nice places (I am aware that thrifters don't like to share their spots lol)?

Where to buy Ladino books?

Hello, I would love to buy some books in Ladino, preferably old ones that were read by people. I already collect books in Yiddish so I thought that adding a Ladino book to my collection would be interesting. Any recommendations on where to buy them?

Pristina: Bookstore recommendations?

Hello,
I will be visiting Pristina soon and I have a peculiar hobby, I collect uncommon books. I mostly focus on religious texts. I would love to buy both the Quran and the Bible in Albanian, I am also interested in the Kanun of Leke. Any recommendations? I have no problem with the books being used or old, even better lol.

Wearing these short 70-80s shorts - bulge issue

I bought these very short shorts as I dig the vintage style and they are about 25cm when it comes to length, which is fine to me, looks fun. The only issue is that my bulge is very prominent, like sex-offender worthy prominent. How do I minimize this effect?

Is it worth it?

Hey! I have three Soviet-era TVs. Two of them are Unimor Neptuns and one is a small portable TV Elektronika. I have wanted to actually use them for a while now (they are just standing on a shelf in my room), I plugged one of the Neptuns in and it works (I mean, I can see the static on the screen).
I have read about connecting them to my PC and apparently I need to buy a HDMI-RF converter/modulator BUT someone on the Internet said that I could also use VHS video recorder as a connector. The modulator is quite pricy - I can either pay $50 and get it now or pay $25 and wait 2 weeks for it to come from China, not really fun. Could the VHS method work? Is it even worth trying? I know that it's not possible to use them as standard monitors because of the resolution, but could I for example play some simple games on it or watch some bullshit?

Is there a name for what I call "patchwork books"?

What I mean by patchwork books are books that change over time. If you pick up the earliest possible version of the Bible we have it's going to be different from the Bible we use nowadays. We most likely lost some chapters, modified some, added some and so on and so on. It also applies to other ancient texts like the Iliad.
Also, do these "creatures" form nowadays too? I think that it could be much harder for it to form as now we have more reliable sources about authorship and we have more data to base our reasoning on.

Struggling with finding meaning in art

Hey,
I feel quite ashamed because of the recent situation between me and my college friends. We were sitting and listening to some random music and Creed started playing.

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
"Maybe six feet ain't so far down"

I started visualizing this whole scenario and in my head it was just some dude 6 feet away from a literal edge, cliff-like thing, but the drop was only 6 feet tall so he was not that scared of it. I started questioning the meaning behind the lyrics and all of my friends just looked at me like I was mental. Then they explained that both the edge and the depth are not literal and I feel like a total dumbass.

I struggle with my intelligence level because I often read books and I don't see anything special in them, same with movies. Like I can watch a movie that is supposedly very deep and to me it's just a cool story until I read an interpretation of it online.
I got diagnosed when I was 11 and on my diagnosis it said "below average intelligence" and it just stuck to me and it haunts me to this day. I aced my finals and got the best results in my school, TOP1% of my country and got accepted to all of the universities I applied to. Now I study medicine and despite not having any issues academically I still feel really stupid whenever I talk to someone about culture or media, simply because I feel like art comprehension is completely out of my reach. I feel like a literal chimp trying to understand these concepts, I cannot see past the literal meaning. Can I somehow fix it?

What size SD card should I buy in my situation?

Hey!
I will be heading to Taiwan this September and I have a DJI OSMO Pocket 3 camera, so I decided to take it with me to try it out. I have never used it before and today I finally got myself to sit down and watch a tutorial. I have the creator package or whatever it's called and it all looks quite nice. The only issue is the SD card. The only one I have is apparently too slow and weak for the camera.

In Taiwan I want to just record some videos for my family, like just my daily shenanigans, nothing really special but at the same time I will spend a little more than two weeks there so I would like to have the comfort to record some stuff. I also won't be taking my laptop or any other form of computer other than my phone if it's important and relevant at all.

What would you recommend in my situation? I know nothing about SD cards and I would like to get some knowledge from experienced people.

Adding Miles&Smiles to my flight doesn't work

Hello,
I have been trying to add my Miles&Smiles account to my flight for about a week now. When I enter the My Flights tab in the app it says that if I link my account there I will receive 5000+ miles or something to use later on, then I press on the button to link the account and I type in my TK number, they send me some SMS or E-Mail code and I enter it there. After that I guess it is supposed to be linked, but nothing really happens and it asks me to do it again as if I have never done it before (I believe that I have done it about 50 times by now). Google says to check my name in both the Turkish Airlines account and the Miles&Smiles account, but they seem to match. I am quite lost lol

Is Jesus YHWH?

Hey, I have just finished watching Dan McClellan's video where he criticizes some random dude who made a statement that Jesus is YHWH. I can hear what Dan says, but I struggle with understanding it. I am not Christian myself but I was raised in a Catholic household, and inside my little head I had this kind of reasoning:
There is one God and he is divided into 3 parts (apparently it's a heresy, lol). If the Father is God and Jesus (the Son) is God, then logically I would like to say that Father = Son, and whether you define YHWH as Father or as the whole trinity it doesn't really matter, because still Son would equal YHWH.
I know that my reasoning is completely wrong and I have read that this whole ordeal is basically impossible to fully grasp due to God being infinite. Could you please explain what exactly YHWH is and why isn't Jesus YHWH?

Whale spotting in Taiwan, any recommendations?

Hey, I will be heading to Taiwan in September and as a European who lives very far from any sea where big cetaceans reside I would love to go whale spotting there. I have read that Hualien is a nice place to do so, has anyone been there? Has anyone gone whale spotting in Taiwan in general? Do I need to book it now, and if so, what companies?

Are exhumations against the Jewish law?

Hello,
I am Polish and yesterday was the anniversary of the Jedwabne pogrom. Many people complain about the lack of exhumations and that they should be conducted, but others state that running exhumations would be against the Jewish laws regarding burial.
I don't know much about the Jewish law so I would love to learn which position is closer to the truth.

I am going to Taiwan and I know nothing about powerbanks, any recommendations?

Hey,
I will be going to Taiwan this September so I decided that a powerbank would be useful. I am not planning on taking my laptop or any other "bigger" devices so I would only really charge my phone (Samsung S24 if it's important).
Any recommendations?

First time in India, which region is the best?

Hey, I told myself that if I passed every single exam this year I would go to India in September. I am still waiting for 1 more result but I think that I am going to pass so I started thinking about the trip.
I am European and my budget is about $2500.
I don't know if I am ready to go to the most congested parts of India that everyone visits (Delhi, Mumbai etc.) so I thought about either visiting the northeastern part (Darjeeling) or the south (Kerala).
I don't know how much time is needed, I have the whole month off so technically it could take me a month but I'd rather spend about 2-2,5 weeks there.
I am into nature, various religions and I don't eat meat if it's important.

tl;dr, first time in India - Kerala or Darjeeling?
