I just wanted to say how amazing of an actress Lili Reinhart is.

Her emotion is so genuine and I just can’t get over how believable her acting is. She also portrays a teenager so well compared to lots of other adults.

Would this be suitable for the road?

I’m very small and have a hard time finding gear that fits so i’ve been looking at kids gear and was wondering if this is protective enough for the road. I realize it’s not abrasion protection so i will wear something over it of course but i was wondering mainly if the back was okay for the road. I’m a beginner and am not planning on going very fast and am staying off the highway.

Should I wear a life jacket that I’m slightly too heavy for?

I’m 92lbs so very small and I’m also very lanky so it’s hard to find anything that fits. Adult life jackets just feel too big so I usually wear a kids 50-90lbs life jacket which works well for tubing and other boating things but people seem to be very particular about life jackets so I was wondering which is better, having a life jacket a bit too big or having a life jacket that I’m slightly too heavy for?

I’m a very good swimmer by the way and I’m not really worried but I was ma just wondering what experts opinions are.

Doing this trend except I actually made it (no AI slop)

Screw AI. It’s ruining the planet in nearly every way.
Also, screw image stealing.

How come men’s pants have 2 different measurements so they can find the perfect size and half of you still have your ass showing?

They make pants that fit you, so why don’t you get the right size or at least wear underwear so you don’t leave butt prints on public seating.

Could body heat/ATP production help diagnose hypermobility severity?

Before you read I’d like you to keep in mind when reading this that my point is this could be a factor to considered when diagnosing EDS and I am not saying that this is a test that determines for sure whether you have EDS or not. A lot of people are mistaking this.

So we all know that the more hypermobile you are, the more muscle you use to keep yourself together. And when you use your muscles you produce ATP to fuel them and a most of the energy from ATP ends up as heat energy. Therefore, the more hypermobile you are, the hotter you are. So, maybe by assessing body heat when doing and exercise (for example, measuring your temperature after 500 steps in 70°) weeks can create another factor for estimating hypermobility severity and help diagnose hEDS. Of course there are other factors that would affect this and make it inaccurate to use this alone do diagnose EDS or measure hypermobility but this could possibly be used along side these beighton test as another factor to consider when diagnosing EDS. I know people with EDS tend to struggle with heat regulation so there’s already evidence that might be a factor to consider. I also thought that possibly our skin difference could affect sweat production since I don’t sweat that much and I highly struggle with heat but that’s more just speculation through correlation. I’m not a scientist or have any formal biological education but my my brain is always running at a million miles an hour and I happened to go on a learning rabbit hole on this and made this conjecture. So what are your thoughts?

If you need custom orthotic inserts, go to a ski shop!

I’m a long time skier with eds and i’ve never come across better inserts than the custom ones the ski boot fitter made. Better than my orthotics that were custom made by a doctor. The one i went to did custom superfeet inserts that were magical in my ski boots and in my shoes. Just bring the footbed from whatever shoes you will be wearing them in the most and i’m sure the people at the ski shop would be happy to make you some whether you are wearing them in your shoes or in your boots. They obviously won’t be covered by insurance but we paid less for them than custom orthotics that I got through a doctor (after insurance) and especially less after the many referrals i had to go through to get them. Anyways, boot fitters know their stuff and i highly recommend asking if they could do custom footbeds if yours aren’t working very well.

Both my friends are horrifically uneducated in the world on cinema and i’m building a list of movies they should watch, what other movies should I put on here?

The list is fairly short right now as i have just started making it. I’m looking for cultural significant and popular “right of passage” movies. Here is my list so far:
◦ Scream
◦ Beetlejuice (the WHOLE thing)
◦ kill bill
◦ kill bill 2
◦ scooby doo (live action)
◦ scooby doo 2 (live action)
◦ heathers
◦ ET
◦ Riverdale season 2
◦ SLC Punk
◦ Claire | The Documentary (on youtube on Claire Wineland’s youtube channel)
◦ Alien
◦ Ghostbusters
◦ Ghostbusters 2
◦ The breakfast club
◦ Pulp Fiction
◦ Jurassic park
◦ The first season of Scooby Doo Where are you?

Claire Wineland’s documentary is kind of niche so if you haven’t seen it i highly recommend you doing so.

CMV: If there is a god, he/she/they is/are a total asshole

For background information, I am 0% religious or spiritual.
If god controls everything, why would innocent people suffer. Why would god drive children to suicide, give people lifelong disabilities/illnesses, let unfit parents have children, and the list goes on and on. I’ve heard that god has to give bad things to people so he gives them to the strongest people but that would mean there’s a power higher than that god. A god of god. And then we just have an exponential god of god scenario leading back to some asshole god.

And to the argument that god gave humans free will so it is humans’ fault: God created humans and how humans are so it is his responsibility. Sure, then it would just be god trying to do the right thing but it going wrong but then how come he doesn’t intervene and try to fix the bad things that were caused by humans getting free will. That’s just laziness and him being an asshole. And also, there are problems that aren’t caused by humans. The base level is “normal” so in the example of lifelong medical conditions which humans did not cause, god would have had to give that condition to this person before the person was even really a person yet. There is no way to justify that.

Are we supposed to go to a rheumatologist?

I just found out that most people with EDS have gone to a rheumatologist and it’s never even been brought up to me. I seriously had no idea people did this. Anyways, should i try to go to one? I have fairly bad hEDS along with scoliosis, some sort of dysautonomic condition (they won’t test me for POTS because i’m underweight, klippel fiel syndrome, and a bunch of mental health issues. That’s the end of my list of diagnoses but i also have other mystery problems as many of us do.

Why I love Jughead so much

I really enjoyed Riverdale, (Well seasons 1&2, seasons 3&4 were good, and seasons 5+ kind of sucked) largely because of Jughead. As someone who has never read the comics, I was able to see the show as it is and without already knowing the characters. The story, while having lots of plot holes, was overall very entertaining and the characters were interesting, but mostly, Jughead was deeply relatable and cathartic for me. While his character obviously had many flaws like most in teen dramas, the good parts of his character really comforted me and have me an outlet for my own issues. The family issues, the isolation, the depression, etc, and just personality traits like the analyticity, strong sense of justice, cynicism, and more, made me fall in love with his character (and the s2 serpent storyline was so exciting and entertaining). His character helped me make sense of my similar issues. And his extremely accurate portrayal of trauma made me feel less alone when I had no one to talk to or express my feelings with in real life. Also, I am Asexual and Aromantic so my love for him wasn’t teenage hyper-sexuality. Anyways, my point is that in Riverdale, Jughead is overall a great character.

▲ 2 r/POTS

I have EDS and all the symptoms of POTS and they won’t even test me.

I’ve been having all of the classic POTS symptoms since I was like 12 but as i’ve gotten into adulthood my symptoms have gotten worse and i’ve had a few episodes where I actually fainted. Anyways, I finally brought it up to my PCP and they had me lay down for 5 minutes and then stand up and my heart rate and blood pressure indicated POTS. They referred me to a cardiologist to get a tilt table test but the cardiologist took an EKG (normal, of course) and said that it’s just because i have a low BMI (16) and that i need to do more cardio and they wont test me. It’s just so frustrating because for some reason i have a very hard time admitting something is “wrong” with me and it took a lot of courage and for me to know something is wrong for me to bring this up and they won’t even take me seriously. (advice welcome)
