Unpopular opinion: the live-action Lilo & Stitch wasn’t that bad?

Just watched the live-action Lilo & Stitch and I’m kinda split on it.

Some parts were really good, but other parts felt confusing or like they didn’t really need to be there. I also understand why people are upset about changes like Lilo going into foster care, since it makes the story feel a lot heavier compared to the original. I was adopted, so I guess I like the representation not saying that my girl should’ve went to California for a marine biology degree .

I still like the original way more, but I don’t think the new one deserves all the hate it’s getting. Some of it felt unnecessary, but some parts were actually done well too.

Am I the only one who feels like it wasn’t as bad as people are saying, or did you think it was worse than the original?

One thing you could change

If you could change one thing about Avatar: The Last Airbender—and only one—what would it be?
It could be:
A character arc.

An episode.

A fight.

More screen time for someone.

A storyline that deserved another episode.

Or... nothing at all if you think it's already perfect.

I'm interested to see what people would actually change and why. Looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts!

an opinion you’ll defend

I've been rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender.
What's one opinion about ATLA that you'll always defend?
It can be about:
A character everyone misunderstands.

An episode you think is underrated.

A fight that doesn't get enough credit.

A decision made by Aang, Zuko, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Iroh, Azula, or anyone else.

Something you think the fandom gets completely wrong.

I'm genuinely curious to see everyone's answers . Just be respectful of each other—I want to read everyone's perspective.

It's hard talking

I have anxiety, and it's really hard for me to connect with other people. I'm a teenager, and it's hard for me to actually go up and talk to someone like during church, our classes, even talking to people any age. I don't really like talking because of it .

I do like listening, though. I know I want to be more outgoing because I want to connect with people, but it just gives me so much anxiety.
Even just walking up to someone, asking their name, and trying to get to know them makes me feel stuck .

I feel like people probably think I don't care or that I'm not interested, but it's actually the complete opposite.

I feel like people think I’m rude, or think but I don’t know, I wanna know if anybody has felt like this or how to overcome it or whatever.

The trailer

Now that the trailer's out, what did everyone think?

I honestly thought it looked really good.

What's your favorite part from the trailer?

More Live action

I really love Avatar: The Last Airbender so much. It’s honestly one of my favorite shows ever. I even liked the live-action version too, even though I know a lot of people were kinda disappointed by it. I still thought it was good overall.
I just wish there was more than 3 seasons. I know the original cartoon is only 3 seasons and the story is complete, but I can’t help wanting more. Like it would be so cool if they made spin-offs about other characters or different adventures in the Avatar world.
There’s just something about ATLA that makes me wish we had way more of it to watch.

what do you guys think?

Stress and anxiety

Title: Does anyone else feel like this?
My anxiety/stress tics have been coming back lately. I can go weeks without them, then they randomly start again.
I keep wondering if I'm somehow doing it for attention, even though I really don't want them. Does anyone else overthink this too?

It's weird

Title: Does anyone else think the Tom/Sadie shipping is weird?
I've been seeing so many posts saying things like "Sadie is flirting with Tom," and honestly, I think it's really weird. They're actors, and people are making up stories from a few clips or pictures.

It also feels disrespectful to Tom, Zendaya, and Sadie. I think we should just support the cast instead of shipping real people.

Does anyone else feel this way?

also, I don’t mean every videos I mean like some

New movie discussion

What’s something from past Spider-Man movies you hope Brand New Day finally explores or does differently?. What kind of tone are you hoping Brand New Day has compared to the previous Spider-Man movies, and why?

I’m genuinely curious

What’s something Disney did really well in one Disney princess movie that you wish they would do more often in their newer movies?

Zuko‘s perspective

If the story was told from Zuko’s perspective the entire time, what do you think the audience would misunderstand the most about Aang and the Avatar world?

The main message

After watching both the animated series and the live-action, what do you think is the main message of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and do you think the live-action understood it the same way?

Because they know some of the things that were in animated one were totally missed in overlooked in the live action

family experience

I’m one of eight siblings, and I’m curious about other people’s experiences growing up in big families. Did you enjoy it? Was it chaotic but fun, or did you feel like you didn’t get enough attention? I’d love to hear honest stories, both positive and negative.

Emotionally drained

I feel bad me and my friend both joke around and they always ends up crying and blaming me saying I triggered them . The thing is they never shows me that they don’t like it with their body language or tell me , some of the stuff that they says is too far , but they joke about the same thing , I just feel like I’m always the problem , and I’m a bad friend there’s just so many issues.

Hi

Hi everyone! 💛
I’m 17, and I have a special needs sister who has taught me so much about patience, compassion, and meeting people where they are. Growing up, I’ll never forget the people who took the time to spend with her, even on the hard days, and made her feel seen and accepted.

That’s something I’d love to do for other families. Whether it’s playing games, going to the park, getting ice cream, or just hanging out, I’d love to be a friend and create a fun, welcoming space for kids who could use one.
If you think your family would be interested, feel free to message me. I’d love to connect! 💙
