Recycle the episode Under the Gun (S2E18) and instead of a scared straight program for juvenile offenders. Nolan and Lopez accompany a group of young honor roll students who are college bound on a "police explorers" program to encourage them to go into a career of law enforcement. Harper calls rhem boy scoots on a curated tour taling the lowest level of calls
For one we need more Nolan and Lopez, and I can see Nolan telling the students about how it's one way they can serve their city. As Noaln insists on taking low risk calls to keep the experience as tame as possible, only taking high risk calls if it's necessary.
I can also see Lopez seeing Nolan shielding the students from the more dangerous side of police work and wants to take high risk felony calls with the explorers and give the students an more unfiltered side of policing that police explorers do not cover and have the explorers watch either from the car or at the scene about the more... dangerous side of police work telling the students that police officer have to face dangerous situations at times. Not that she wants to scare them off but give them the real, unfiltered, and very raw truth of police work.
B plot should involve Lucy given temporary T.O for status so Miles can finish up and well, we see Chen's T.O Style having underwent some development from her experience from training Seth.
Another B plot would piar up Lucy and Harper where Harper helps Lucy get over her ordeal. Plus it would be akward for a detective to be like mentoring a sergeant
In short, the Rookie never had an episode about the police exploroer program. So this would be a first. I mean we already got hints of civilan ride alongs so this would make a great episode,
How would you rate the episode idea.
She's clearly pretty high up the leaderboards, but not like top dog (or cat). I imagine she'd be in the top 20 (and I'm generous with that ballpark figure)
Craig encounters a box creature from Courage the Cowardly Dog. (Specifically "Shirly the Medium" however this box creature is friendly and playful. As the box creature shows its affection for Craig by holding him and patting him on his head before holding him with both hands. Also this box creature is much cuter as it wears gloves.
If you remember the episode Shirly the Medium where there was a evil box monster that tried to take Eustace and Murial, well this is what I woild imagine that evil box monster having a good twin.
I think moringmark should write comics using The Simpsons episodes as a blueprint like the Hexsquad, Camilla Noceda, and Vee getting an one of a kind smoker called The Hive?

Mobile Police Pat-Armor; is a police / slice of life comedy where in an alternate future, robotics, nuclear power, water desalination and interstellar communications have advanced far beyond then what we have IRL. With fully functioning heavy-labor and military personal suits called Power Armor are widely distributed.
The United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, and Australia being the top dogs and exporters in Power Armor technology with the U.S as the apex of Power Armor.
While it was a revolutionary breakthrough for industry and military, it also paved the way for criminals also using powered armor as well. As well as Terrans having to deal with the alien criminals of L.A.W as well.
In response the police sets up special units called Pat-Armor Special Vehicles and Armor Division (S.V.A.D) special police officers in Power Armor to specifically deal with criminals in Power Armor or L.A.W's worst criminals.
Inspired from the likes of Fallout (power armor and development of interstellar communications), Mobile Police Patlabor, and cop shows/movies.
This serves as a love letter and passion project for slice of life, comedy shows and cop shows of different walks, mainly American, Australian and British cop shows.

Also it would be fully 2D animated and in an AU of Monkey Wrench where the Cataclysm never happened (instead the Terrans developed interstellar communications and got in touch with L.A.W. To advance their technology hundreds of years within a decade)
My idea is seeing a chibi Randall spying on the villains and ratting them out to the Heros untill he starts snitching on other Chibis to the hero's. (Like Scratch eating up all the nacho cheese and what not
