I mean, seriously, has all of what most people learned about spelling/grammar at school and stuff (provided they got some kind of formal education) been thrown out the window?

It sure as hell seems like it with all the misspellings I see (like loose instead of lose, using you're or your in the wrong way, or there/their, etc etc) and people just not knowing how to write up a grammatically correct sentence

With all the tools we have nowadays like spell check (which is built-in to your phone and everything) and grammar tools (like with things as Grammarly and stuff), there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE that anyone should be posting things to here with blatantly obvious bad spelling and grammar

Ok, rant over; seriously though, would it kill ya to make sure what you're typing makes sense before clicking post?

Since I have pretty much all of the books on what's become my own Warrior Cats shelf/shrine, my next goal is to get the older arcs from The Prophecies Begin to Dawn of the Clans in the older/original covers (as the art style of Wayne McLoughlin really hits harder for the earlier part of the series, though it is cool how the newer Owen Richardson ones form a picture on the spines), and I managed to find half of those ones for Power of Three on a hunt I went out on!

So with that, so far I have all of The Prophecies Begin and half of Power of Three (Outcast, Eclipse, and Long Shadows) in the older/original covers!

Found these on a complete whim over the weekend, and with that, now I'm making a goal for myself to make the rest of the earlier parts of my Warrior Cats shelf here (The Prophecies Begin, The New Prophecy, Power of Three, Omen of the Stars, and Dawn of the Clans) be in the older/original covers (which have so much more character compared to the illustations for the reprints of these)

So far, got all of the 1st arc (The Prophecies Begin) and half of Power of Three (book 3/Outcast, book 4/Eclipse, book 5/Long Shadows), and realistically, as I can over the rest of this year, get the rest of Power of Three in these covers (and in hardcover if possible) as well as The New Prophecy

A personal goal I have this year for what's become my Warrior Cats shrine is making all of the earlier parts of the series (the arcs of The Prophecies Begin, The New Prophecy, Power of Three, Omen of the Stars, and Dawn of the Clans) be in the orignal covers like these ones as they've just got so much character compared to the reprints for them (and for the newer arcs in A Vision of Shadows, The Broken Code, A Starless Clan, and Changing Skies)

And with that, I'm halfway there on this particular arc in Power of Three, and I already have all of The Prophecies Begin

Realistically over the rest of this year looking to get the rest of Power of Three and also The New Prophecy in these covers

Did y'all really expect that it would work as expected from the start of these betas???

If so, you're so so mistaken and developer or much less public betas for software are places you don't deserve to be...

If the mods could put a moratorium on this kind of stuff and also, if we could curtail the "still on the waitlist" or "finally got it" kinds of posts by making a megathread, that would be great and much appreciated; getting a little tired of seeing those posts as that's pretty much all this sub's become ever since the start of these iOS 27 betas

Has anyone else been facing this as of recently?

And the thing is, I'm not even saying "Siri/Hey Siri"; it just summons on its own...

As much as I loved the art style of Sara and Natalie Reiss-Goetter, I am so excited to see how the style of the next artist in Sammy Savos will pan out, and from what we've seen of it in the numerous previews we've got, I think we're in for a treat!

Already have pre-ordered it too, so by this time next week, I should have it!

Now, I may be completely off base here, but a good friend of mine (M late 20s) ever since after he broke up with his last woman he was with, he's been so so desperate to get back into a relationship with one.

I mean, I don't blame him, especially since many of our friends that we've known for a few years whether they're in their 20s or 30s have now been getting married and that is just leaving him with a cloud of doom looming over him it seems...

It seems like he's had some kind of hope that with each one he's gone into that he's finally found someone after the last one he was with would be better, only to just be hit with a wall of disappointment each time.

He keeps telling me that he doesn't know what to do anymore each time this happens, but what I think his real problem is he recently just got let go from a job and I don't know about most of you, but I wouldn't want to date someone who is jobless and can't keep a job to save their lives.

WIBTAH for straight up telling him that that is probably why no one he's asking right now wants to keep things going with him after the first date?

Haven't been back on my Mac (M2 MacBook Air) to check this ever since the update to macOS 27 DB2, but have also heard that if you used this trick that you may be placed back on the waitlist at least on the Mac itself

Any others who also did this trick able to confirm if this is the case? Wouldn't be annoyed too much if it somehow reverted me back to the waitlist on my Mac, but if it did on my iPhone too then that would be another story...

For context, I didn't have an Apple Intelligence capable iPhone at the time of this year's WWDC (non Pro iPhone 15), so the day after dub dub, I went out and upgraded from said 15 to a 16, and once I got everything restored/setup I then joined the new Siri/Siri AI waitlist and have been waiting since then.....

So with that, today marks 9 days since I've joined the waitlist, but still nothing! 😞

For those that are also waiting along with me, when did you join the waitlist and how long have you been waiting?

Yes, I get it, those like myself that are STILL on this waitlist for the new Siri/Siri AI on the iOS 27 developer beta have been getting all too antsy to try it out

Here's the thing though; hate to burst y'alls bubbles, but none of those tricks you've seen people doing actually work

That's why it's called a WAITlist

So with that, all that the rest of us who are still on this waitlist, calm down, hang in there, you'll eventually get it when you get it

I've been on it since last Tuesday on a new iPhone 16 I just got for those wondering

And I've been seeing more and more posts just hours ago with people saying they finally cleared the waitlist; so who knows, your waiting may be finally over soon

I ask as I have a 2026 Tucson Limited Hybrid and need to get it serviced prior to a longer trip I'm taking out of state, but the dealer I got it from is plagued with the issue of having no available service appointments for a week

So with that in mind, I have been able to find one that I can take it to thankfully, but worried that they won't honor the current 1 year complimentary maintenance I have

With some searching I did, I think it said so as long as you take it to any Hyundai authorized dealer/service center they should be able to honor it, but just want to be sure

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this when upgrading to the iOS 27 developer beta.

I ask as in recent days when I would call someone or they would call me, it would show [contact name or [number] others].

I have never seen this before so as soon as I saw that I looked at my phone's contacts, and sure enough, somehow, someway all my contacts were duplicated!

I tried doing the merge duplicates thing that it showed up top, but even with all of the other clear duplicates there are, it only picked up 2 of my contacts that had a duplicate...

Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I remember also getting a new iPhone recently (upgraded from my non-pro 15 to a 16) and I've done these restores from iCloud backups before, but never before has this kind of thing happened.

As I make this post up, I'm using iCloud data recovery feature to go back to a previous version of my contacts list that I knew did not have this duplication issues so I will keep y'all posted as to whether or not that works!

Ever since I upgraded from my 15 (non Pro) to a 16 so I could finally take advantage of what Apple Intelligence has to offer already as well as what the new Siri/Siri AI has to offer in iOS 27 (currently in developer beta), I noticed an odd thing ever since I set it up back on Tuesday after I got said new iPhone.

So when I go to Settings->Siri and scroll all the way down to where it shows the extensions section where it shows just ChatGPT for now, that is just grayed out and shows a message that says "Apple Intelligence assets need to finish downloading"

And on top of that, like others I'm still stuck on the waitlist (like I mentioned in another post too) for new Siri/Siri AI so don't know that's why I'm still stuck with the assets still downloading? I really only charge my phone when I'm on my way home from work and while I'm sleeping, so I'm failing to understand why these assets are just stuck downloading...

Has anyone else encountered this bug where AI's assets are just failing to download, and if so, what have you done to overcome this?
