(Off-topic) A Little Help For Gatsby

(Off-topic) A Little Help For Gatsby

Hello everyone!

I’m humbly asking for help for our beloved cat, Gatsby. He is a gentle, affectionate cat and a cherished member of our family.
Three days ago, Gatsby developed a urinary blockage. His condition quickly worsened—he began vomiting, crying in pain, stopped eating, and became extremely weak. We brought him to PCBP Makati, where a catheter was inserted to drain his bladder. Crystals and blood were found in his urine.
After being sent home with medication, his condition suddenly became critical. He developed difficulty breathing, could no longer stand, and barely responded. We immediately rushed him back to the clinic, where he is now confined. The vet told us he has a 50/50 chance of survival, but we are doing everything we can to give him a chance.

Current medical expenses as of August 9, 2026:
• Initial consultation & procedures: ₱4,770
• Estimated confinement: ₱15,000+
• Pet ICU: ₱1,500/day
• Infusion pump (5 days): ₱1,000
• CBC & Chem 7: ₱3,700
Excluding special medications and prescription food

Funds raised so far: ₱2,400

I’m still a student with very limited financial resources, and these unexpected expenses are more than I can manage alone. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much and will go toward Gatsby’s treatment.
If you cannot donate, sharing this post, praying for him, or simply sending kind words would already help us tremendously. 🥺🤍

Thank you so much po. May your pockets never run dryz

(Off-topic) Please spare a little if you can. Even a small help means so much to us. 6ò

Hello everyone!

I am humbly asking for your help for our beloved cat, Gatsby.

Gatsby is the sweetest, gentlest, and most affectionate cat we’ve ever had. He’s quiet by nature, but he always follows us around and loves being close to us. He is more than just a pet, he’s a cherished member of our family.

I am still a student with very limited financial resources. I always do my best to provide for my pets, but this emergency came so suddenly that I was so unprepared for the overwhelming medical expenses.

Three days ago, we noticed that Gatsby was having difficulty urinating. We suspected he had a urinary blockage, but we hesitated to bring him to the veterinary clinic because we knew we couldn’t afford hospitalization if it became necessary.

The following day, his condition worsened. He started vomiting, could only pass a very small amount of urine, and cried out in pain. His bladder had become hard due to the blockage, and he completely lost his appetite. He became weak, lethargic, and could barely move.

We rushed him to PCPB Makati, where the veterinarian inserted a urinary catheter and drained his bladder. They found crystals and blood in his urine. Unfortunately, we were unable to proceed with the recommended laboratory tests because they would cost an additional ₱3,700, which we simply could not afford at the time. The veterinarian allowed us to bring him home with medications and instructions to monitor him closely.

However, only two hours after we arrived home, Gatsby’s condition suddenly became much worse. He developed labored breathing, became extremely weak, could no longer stand, and barely responded to us. We immediately rushed him back to PBCB Makati, where he is now confined.

The veterinarian informed us that Gatsby’s condition is critical and that he has only a 50/50 chance of survival. Despite this, we refuse to give up on him. He depends on us, and we want to do everything we can to give him the best chance to recover.

As of August 9, 2026, here is the current breakdown of his medical expenses:

• Initial consultation and procedures: ₱4,770
• Estimated confinement bill: ₱15,000
(excluding special medications and prescription food)

Current hospital expenses include:
• Pet ICU – ₱1,500 per day
• Infusion pump (5 days) – ₱1,000
• CBC & Chem 7 – ₱3,700

These expenses are far beyond what I can afford as student. I am humbly asking for your kindness and support. Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward Gatsby’s medical treatment and recovery. If you’re unable to donate, your prayers, kind words, and sharing this post would mean the world to us. Thank you so much for helping Gatsby in any way you can.

We are holding onto hope that he will recover and come home to us soon. 🥺

God bless you all! May your pockets never run dry.

Asking for Help & Donations for Our Cat, Gatsby

Long post ahead. Thank you for taking the time to read Gatsby's story. 🫂

Hello po, everyone!

We are humbly asking for your help for our beloved cat, Gatsby. Gatsby is the sweetest, gentlest, and clingiest cat we've ever had. He's quiet by nature, but he always follows us around and loves being close to us. He is more than just a pet, he's a cherished member of our family.

We are still students with very limited financial resources. We always do our best to provide for our pets, but this emergency came so suddenly that we were unprepared for the overwhelming medical expenses.

Three days ago, August 5, napansin po namin na nahihirapan siya umihi at pabalik-balik sa litter. We suspected he had a urinary blockage, but we hesitated to bring him to the veterinary clinic kasi wala po talaga kaming pera to cover his expenses in case ma-confine siya.

The following day, mas lumala yung condition niya. He started vomiting, could only pass a very small amount of urine, and cried out in pain. Sobrang matigas na rin yung bladder due to the blockage, and wala na talaga siyang sigla at gana kumain.
Sobrang sakit sa puso na makitang nahihirapan siya.

Agad na naming tinakbo si Gatsby sa PCPB Makati, where the vet inserted a urinary catheter and drained his bladder. May nakitang mga crystals and blood sa urine. Unfortunately, hindi po kami nag-proceed to undergo lab tests because they would cost an additional ₱3,700, which we simply could not afford at the time. The veterinarian allowed us to bring him home with medications and instructions to monitor him closely. However, only two hours after we arrived home, Gatsby's condition suddenly became much worse.
Nahirapan po siya huminga, at hindi na masyadong nagre-respond sa boses namin at sa touch. We immediately rushed him back to PBCB Makati, where he is now confined.

The vet informed us that Gatsby's condition is critical and that he has only a 50/50 chance of survival. Despite this, we refuse to give up on him. Kami lang po ang meron siya kaya we really do our best para matulungan siyang lumaban at mabuhay.

As of August 8, 2026, our current confinement bil is ₱8,090.
His estimated total confinement expenses may reach around ₱15,000 or more, depending on how long he needs to stay and whether he requires additional medications, prescription food, and other treatments.

Current/estimated medical expenses include:
• Initial consultation and procedures: ₱4,770
• Current confinement bill: ₱8,090
• Estimated total confinement expenses: ₱15,000+
• Pet ICU: ₱1,300 per day
• Infusion pump (5 days): ₱1,000
• Special medication and prescription food: approximately ₱500 per day

Malaking halaga po talaga ito para sa amin, lalo na't students pa lang po kami. Biglaan po kasi ang nangyari kay Gatsby at hindi namin inexpect na aabot sa ganito kalaki ang medical expenses niya.

We are humbly asking for your kindness and support. Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward Gatsby's medical treatment and recovery. If you're unable to donate, please know that your prayers for Gatsby and simply engaging to this post already mean so much to us.

Thank you for taking the time to read Gatsby's story and for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.
We are holding onto hope that he will recover and come home to us soon. 😢🤍

God bless you all po! Whoever you are, may your pockets never run dry.
